    Sept 22 - IELTS exam
    Oct 5 - IELTS result (Band score: 7.5)
    Oct 16 - Australian Institute of Higher Education (AIH) application submitted
    Oct 18 - Received offer letter from AIH
    Nov 14 - Paid tuition fee
    Nov 29 - Received eCOE
    Nov 29 - Lodged application via IDP Manila
    Dec 3 - Received acknowledgement SMS from Australian Embassy
    Dec 4 - Received Student acknowledgement letter/Request for medical
    Dec 5 - Medical examination @ Nationwide
    Dec 10 - Medical results forwarded to Australian Embassy
    Dec 11 - VISA GRANTED!!! :)

    hi. sino po nakapag-try magpa credit ng subjects taken here in Pinas? i am planning to study in australia, 3 years yung duration. is there a high possibility na ma-credit yung inaral ko?

    11/17/12: passed school application thru IDP * 12/4/12: received letter of offer (univ. of newcastle) * 12/12/12: credit application * 2/22/13: received new letter of offer * 2/26/13: paid deposit fee * 3/8/13: received COE and paid visa fee * 4/10/13: visa application thru IDP * 4/11/13: medical request from DIAC * 4/12/13: medical exam done * 4/19/13: SLEC uploaded my medicals * 4/12/13: medical exam done * 7/11/13: VISA GRANTED

    @amedina nacredit ung subjects ko sa pinas.. So instead of 3years ung course ko naging 2 years na lang. :)

    @amedina accounting ung course ko sa au then sa pinas business ad...d ako sure regarding sa grades kung kelangan mataas (but cum laude ako sa UST when i graduated) ....

    try mo na lang magpacredit sa school mo sa au.. kasi ung sakin tnry ko lang pero di ko talaga inexpect na maccredit ung ibang subjects ko since konti lang naman accounting subjects ko dati sa ust.. 1 year din nabawas sa study period ko sa AU.. hehehe. :)

    @amedina it doesnt matter. Okay naman ang standing ng CEU sa list nila. San mo plan mag aral? Yung akin nacredit. From Deakin Uni ako instead of 3 years 1 year na lang ako mag aral.

    @amedina it doesnt matter. Okay naman ang standing ng CEU sa list nila. San mo plan mag aral? Yung akin nacredit. From Deakin Uni ako instead of 3 years 1 year na lang ako mag aral.
    question to all.. so if na-credit ang previous courses/degree sa Philippines (example from 3 yrs naging 1 year na lang like the case of @Yukishih), will it still be possible to get the AU study requirements (5pts if you plan to apply under Skilled Migrant)

    I know the requirement is 2 years of study, so hindi na bapwede mag-apply ng 5 points if ever naging 1 year na lang?

    hmmm.. mukang problem nga yan ah pag apply ng PR.. meron rin new visa for 2013 sa mga new graduates of 2 years of more pwede mag apply ng 2yrs working visa while waiting to gain points for PR

    @Yukishih sa univ. of newcastle, NSW. sana nga ma-credit. sana maging 2years na lang. ipapasa ko pa lang syllabus ko sa IDP manila tomorrow. gano katagal bago makuwa result from univ ? wish me luck. :)

    Yes showmoney is not required if you are applying for a student visa 573 (e.g. at least a 2-year course). Only an affidavit of support.

    ok ung akin sisimulan ko palang.. BSN with Masteral ako with 3yrs exp. and I am aspiring to become a RN sa Aus..
    with this forum, narealize ko "student visa" is a good stepping stone. Dati kc focused ako sa bridging program (akala ko yun lang ang tanging paraan). Sana pg sinulat ko na timeline ko sa huli VISA GRANTED din!
    So ganito yung na-pick up ko:
    I'll begin with IELTS (band score all 7).
    Then will look for a school in Queensland (may relative kc ako dun) offering courses: Bachelor of nursing (cguro may credit prior learning din ako) or Masteral course..
    Pag may offer letter na ako.. pay tuition fee (around 10k aud.. huhu)
    Then apply for student visa -> medical exam -> Visa Granted!! *hopeful*

    Naisip ko, after ko magaral (dapat swertehin ako gaya ng iba) na makapagregister agad sa APHRA at maging Aus. RN & masponsor ng working visa.. Pano kung hindi? May ibang visa ba na applicable pra maextend ang stay (maliban sa mag enrol uli ng ibang degree)? TIA :)

    @ezela if you finish at least a 2-yr bachelor degree, you will be eligible to apply for a 2-yr post-study work visa.

    are you saying you have completed BSN+MS+3 years nursing work experience in Phils?
    or mag-aaral ka pa lang ng BSN sa AU?

    i was asking kasi, kung may BSN+MS+3 years experience in Phils,
    you might just want to continue with the bridging program, which is technically the same as student visa...

    just asking..

    @lock_code2004 has a point @ezela. if only i have the experience, i'll do the bridging program din. shorter period lang ang titiisin, pwede ka nang maging RN sa OZ.

    @lock_code2004 yes sir. bsn +ms nako dito pinas.. hindi puba prang conversion program narin yung kagaya kina @yukishih yung po sa deakins univ.. 1 yr. bachelor of nursing(credit prior learning)? ... kasi po dun sa bridging program, 3months period about 500-600k pesos gastos..pero hindi po ako entitled na mkpagwork unlike sa student visa i can work 40hrs per fortnight then mas mahaba pako mkapagstay sa Aus. with my auntie.. (ung problem lang.. magaaral nnman ako ng pgkahabahaba.. ung po ba classes as in 5days/wk gaya dito sa pinas or once a wk lang for b.nursing.. thanks).. @iheartoz , oo nga po.. pero after ng bridging program.. meron po kc hindi pinapalad na masponsor ng working visa kya balik pinas.. Ano puba mga visa applicable after ng bridging program pra humaba stay ko? (kasi baka may no further stay po yun)

    and tingin niyo puba ung case ko may chance for PR if ever mtpos ko po bridging program for 3months then become an Aus RN tapos not employer nominated? if ever balik po ako sa pinas after ng bridging program then dito nako mag file ng PR application if hindi kopo napahaba stay ko sa Aus..

    @ezela as far as i know, you can apply for PR as long as you get the required points. so i think, you may actually do that...apply for PR after your registration.

    @iheartoz @ezela - yes it does not matter kung nasa AU or Pinas ka... basta once you have your AU Nursing Registration, and if you have the money, you can immediately apply for PR... of course as long as you satisfy the EOI 60 pts..

    - educ
    - work exp..

    of course, the best option to find an employer who can sponsor you for a work visa...
