Hi Guys, anyone here who's taken IELTS at IDP. Well they said online results within 24 hours after it has been officially released. Is it normal to get a feedback like this,

"No candidate result found. Please review the following details before trying again. It must be the exact same detail you used when sat for the IELTS test."

even if you can see the test date on the options and I'm sure that I have correct details... Today is supposed to be the official release and unfortunately can't come to pick it up yet so I'd want to see the results online.

@zandro777 Hello, months late na ang reply ko but hopefully it can still help.
Sa reading, what I did was to read first the questions then encircle key terms. Then read the whole passage. Encircle the key terms.

Sa identification na questions, they use synonyms most of the time kaya impt ang reading comprehension sa pagbasa ng passage. And usually, ang answers po are in the order sa reading passage paragraph. Example, the answer sa question 1 is in paragraph 1, then ang answer po sa question 2 is in the next sentences or the next paragraph na. Kaya you can be certain that the answers to questions 4 is in between the answers of 3 and 5.

Sa true, false, not given: I base po solely on the reading passage or on the text. Whatever the writer says, ganun po talaga yung answer dapat and not based on what you know. And catchy po yung questions. If the statement coincides po sa reading passage, then True. If completely opposite sa text ng passage, then false. If hindi mo makita sa passage ang statement, then Not Given.

But most of all, practice answering IELTS reading exams as much as you can, then try to analyze your mistakes. Maka learn po tayo eventually sa style ng reading exams para easier nalang po pagdating sa actual IELTS test.

Just something fun. I had this topic on my Aug Exam. Sana pala kumanta na lang ako ng Smoky Mountain. Hehe.

I was trying to think of a plant that is endemic to my country or has a historical significance but it’s quite hard to find one at such a stressful circumstance so I decide to talk about something more common which is the coconut plant.

The coconut is a giant fruit and if you eat too much of it, it might make you fat. It looks like a big nut but this delicious fruit is, in fact, not a nut. It’s a fruit tree belonging to the palm family.

There are so many uses of the tree. The trunk can be made into house for the family. In some provinces, they are usually free and all you need is to find a coconut farmer. If he cuts the tree, he gets the fruit and you can get the coco lumber. The bark can be used for the kitchen floor and if you save some of it, you can build the door. Now, the coconut trunk is quite sturdy so you can also use it to build the second floor. In fact, it’s very good quality that it can stand for 20 years.

This tree has no waste; the shell that you get after eating the meat can be used as firewood. The leaves give good shade and made into a roof or walls. My relatives even jokingly say that these big fruits make good cannonballs against thieves.

Purpose:
Strict quality control procedures are in place to protect the integrity and security of the IELTS test. As part of these procedures, test results are routinely analysed by the IELTS Test Partners before they are issued to candidates.

As a result of these procedures, your test scores for the XXXXXx 2016 have come under scrutiny and are being investigated. Your results are being withheld while this investigation is being conducted. Please note that all investigations are conducted without prejudice by the IELTS Test Partners.

Reasons:
1. Either you had a high score in all modules, or
2. You had a different score between two modules for more than two marks. (Example: You scored 8 band scores in 2 modules tpos ung sa dalawang modules 5.5 lang.)

The bad news is we need to wait, at least another 15 days, sometimes it takes 2-3 months !
