    Hi to All,

    May question ulit. Anyone po can answer.

    Saan mas kina kailangan ng developers or programmers (261312), sa VIC po ba? or sa NSW?
    I know both states need them, pero there has to be one state na mas nangangailangan between the two.

    Kasi baka mag apply ako for VIC, and then rejected naman pala or matagal, kumpara sa NSW na mabilis. Dunno.

    Or worse, baka kapag nasa VIC na eh pahirapan rin naman makakuha ang mga pinoy for IT jobs tulad ng developers/programmers when it comes to the factors below:

    1. No Australian local work experience
    2. Low salary for non-locals
    3. Racial discrimination (sana wala)

    I've heard someone who managed to read a lot about the difficulty of getting IT jobs in VIC.
    Read his post below:

    http://pinoyau.info/discussion/10119/is-it-really-difficult-to-get-an-it-job-specially-in-melbourne-for-new-immigrant#latest

    So saan mas ok to apply for developers/programmers. VIC po ba? or NSW?

    =======================

    Romans 12:12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

    James 5:7-8 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

    Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

    @NoelRubio wala namang clear cut na sagot sa tanong mo. Both states need developers.
    I have friends in both states. I'm also in IT. Sa paghahanap ng work, bukod sa skills, kelangan mo rin ng swerte. I know some na after a week may work na. Meron namang after 1 year or more pa bago nagka IT work. The key is to never stop looking. You can work on other fields while jobhunting para may income pa rin.

    1. No Australian local work experience - issue to lalo na pag 1st job mo. Mas preferred nila yung may reference na beforehand kaya nirerequire ang local work exp. Tinatanggap naman nila kahit hindi IT ang work exp. mo dito kaya ok rin na magkaron ka ng experience sa other fields kung wala talaga. If you can sell yourself good enough. minsan naooverlook na nila to.

    2. Low salary for non-locals - not true (at least in my case and my friends)

    3. Racial discrimination (sana wala) - never ko pa tong naexperience

    After finishing a course on MCSA, COMPTIA A+ and CISCO I'm still having difficulty finding a job. It's been 3 years and I'm still unemployed. I became desperate so I started sending applications for just about any position... such as fruit picker, carpenter hand, kitchen hand etc. but still no luck. All my Indian classmates in school have found work in IT... and in good companies too. Not to brag, but I used to let them copy my exercises when they had difficulty understanding. They are very good at vouching for each other, I wish we filipinos are as supportive as Indians.

    Anyway, ano po kayang ibang options out there? I spent pretty much 20k on my education, and equipment for my labs and we literally have nothing more to spare for me to take another course sa ibang field. I'd appreciate any suggestions except multi-level marketing, pyramid, direct selling etc.

    @soma Kamusta na? Hope you've been able to land a job that you want. Keep trying if you're still looking for the opp. that you really want. Karamihan sa mga nakausap ko, pati na rin sa experience ko, nakapasok ako ulit sa IT field noong may entry/junior level opp. sa isang service provider. Minsan kailangan dumaan sa ganon para makapasok sa job market na gusto .

    Hi Everyone, good day. Pahingin naman po tips para sa ACS Assessment, please. :)
    I am an Industrial Eng'g graduate pero have been practicing IT for about 10yrs na. Also worked for 2 months in Melbourne, dahil nagkaproject kami sa isang Aus company. Also, I noticed parang IELTS is not required in ACS, is that correct?
    Tips po please.
    Thank you.

    You can check ACS Guidelines :)

    If i'm not mistaken, kapag hindi ICT course yung tinapos you need to do with RPL. and yes di po kaylangan ng english test for ACS assessment.

    sa requirements, basically COE with job description na related dun sa inonominate nyong occupation. If you cannot secure a COE from your company, then you can submit a stat dec that is prepared and signed by your manager/supervisor. It should also be notarised. Also, need din po ng payment evidence which you can find in the guidelines :) Goodluck with your assessment!

    @cutiepie25,

    Tingin ko madami opps especially for software engineer sa Melbourne, or sa buong Australia. Pwedeng mag-iba iba situations, pero may mga alam ako na nakakuha in a month's time (mabilis na to).

    Sa long term, may shortage ang Aus sa IT field, specifically sa soft engineering, kaya tyaga tyaga lang maghanap =) .
