@Cassey Hi cassey! my questions aku regarding recidency requirement specifically the 12 months pr. need bah physically present aku sa 12 months as PR?

    Eton po kasi scenario ko:
June 8,2013- arrival on Australia as student
June 15,2017- naging PR. So technically June 15,2018 magiging one year na as pr.
I have booked for a ticket for pinas for one month on March next year. you think i would still satify the 12 months as PR prior to appying as citizen? Thanks po in advance!

Question sa "Evidence of first arrival in Australia" section ng application... as PR ba o very first arrival?

Nag tourist visa kasi ako nung 2011 but 2013 yung first arrival as PR. Yung passport details ko ba nung 2011 ang ilalagay ko o yung first arrival as PR? magkaibang passport kasi yun.

    Thanks in advance!

Kung naulit na po itong tanong na to, please pakibigay na lang po sakin yung link. Thanks

I suppose for your case it will be first arrival as PR because there is no way you can have a valid visa between 2011 to 2013...

@kc_kea Hi, eto yung nakalagay sa DIBP website,

“must have been a permanent resident for the 12 months immediately before making an application and not have been absent from Australia for more than one year in total, during the four year period, including no more than 90 days in the 12 months before applying”

Sa tingin ko okay lang pero I suggest na huwag mong sasagarin lalo na kung at one point eh nagkaroon ka ng bridging visa during the transition period from Student to Student to PR.

Hi guys, I have a question, me and my wife traveled back to Philippines last February to June 2017 (5 months) and it was the only time we traveled outside Australia since April 2014. My question is do we still need to provide NBI clearance for citizenship because we left Australia for 5 months straight? We are planning to apply this coming April. Thank you.

-Nag tourist Visa kame na nakaindicate ng Max stay of 3 months and last date to arrive is October 22, 2015.
-Nag stay kame sa Au ng Sept 15 to October 5 2015.
-Na grant kame ng PR Jan 20 2016

Hello PinoyAU folks - Eligible na kami ni partner mag apply for AU Citizenship this month. We were looking at the requirements, and sa unang requirement pa lang, medyo alanganin na, UNLESS mali pagkakaintindi ko. Which is why I'm seeking your advise and comments.

    Ito po ang requirement:

•Three documents that all together show your:
    ◦photograph and signature
    ◦current residential address
◦birth name, date of birth and gender.

My understanding is that this means one of 2 things:

    1. 3 IDs that show ALL the details required per ID.
    2. 3 IDs that show AT LEAST 1 of the details required per ID.

If #1, anong klaseng ID po kaya yun? My NSW Driver's Licence does not show my gender, so hindi na pwede yun. Also, wala na akong alam na ID na available that shows all of those requirements.

If #2, other than Driver's Licence and Passport, ano pa pong ID ang acceptable? Pwede po ba yung RSA card or yung NSW photo ID lang?

    Thanks sa mga sasagot po!

@mhej My understanding is that ALTOGETHER the three documents should show ALL the required information. The requirement is not on a 'per document' basis. So it's neither #1 or #2. I could be wrong. I will lodge my application next week and in my case I will submit passport, driver's license, and birth certificate.

    Cheers!

@sulatansiyvette Hi, Ang pinapacertify yung photocopies, hindi yung original. Hindi na namin pinacertify yung sa amin kasi ichecheck naman yung original sa test appointment. Paper based ba kayo o online application?
Yung Form 1195 kailangang ipagawa sa Au citizen tsaka yung photo na rin at yes dapat nasa list yung occupation nila.

I have a question. A few months back, I tried the calculator for residency requirement ang result was eligible na kaming mag apply this September. Then just now, may bagong entry na may lawful residence date. so naset back yung eligibility namin for next year. Here is our case:

Husband and I: Initial entry is September 19, 2014
we went back to UAE to prepare for the big move.
Me: moved to Sydney on July 25, 2015
Hubby: moved to Sydney on September 8, 2015.

    We traveled once:
    January 29, 2017-February 3, 2017.

Since yung previous result said we could apply this year October, we decided to plan a Pinas pasko. Now my dilemma is, nakapagbook na kami ng ticket then this result came out. Will it affect our application for next year?

Thanks. Sorry medyo mahaba yung post ko.

Do I need a new Singapore COC (Police Clearance) for the citizenship requirements? or the my old one would suffice? The old one is circa 2013 when I applied for my Australian permanent resident visa. It does not have any date of validity unlike the NBI clearance.

Try to read back the req, for police check...maremember ko, provide only PCC if you have travelled to a country 90 days or more since your PR visa was granted...only identity docs will be submitted during application. If they need to do external checks( without you knowing), they are using internal system to check sent to various departments or overseas.

    @Cassey - thank you...

Guys, I already completed my online application. Can I reupload some attachments, napansin ko kasi na malabo yung iba? Ginawa ko ito sa PR Visa application (I included in the file name the word: Replacement). Is it the same case sa citizenship application? Thanks heaps!

    Fellow pinoyau's case:

Permanent Residence Date Feb 28, 2015 based on Initial Entry date.
Lawful Residence Date Feb 28, 2015 also (see below SOURCE for details why)
Lodgement Date July 9, 2019 which is 4 years & 4 months after IED

    Periods outside of Oz:
    Mar 8, 2015 to Feb 9, 2016 = 11 months
    Jun 8, 2016 to Jun 12, 2016 = 4 days
    Jun 19, 2016 to Jul 4, 2016 = 15 days

Kahit 3 years & 5 months lang na nakatira sa Oz from Feb 9, 2016 to July 9, 2019, ang result ng eligibility to apply for citizenship is YES.

Anyone sa inyo ganito din ba?

    Permanent residence date
You need to know the date your permanent residency started. The date depends on if you were in or outside Australia when we granted you a permanent residence visa:

if you were in Australia, your permanent residence date is the date we issued that visa
if you were outside Australia, your permanent residence date is the date you first arrived in Australia on that visa
    Lawful residence date
You need to know the date your 'lawful residence' started, that is, you first started living in Australia on a valid visa.

For example, you might have arrived in Australia on 1 June 2012 holding a temporary visa. Then on 4 September 2016, we granted you a permanent visa. So, your lawful residence date is 1 June 2012 and your permanent residence date is 4 September 2016.

    Intended lodgement date
Your intended lodgement date is the date you plan to lodge your application for Australian citizenship.

    Absences from Australia
You need to know the dates you travelled in and out of Australia in the last 4 years. Select 'Add details' to enter those dates in the residence calculator.

Travel dates might be stamped into your passport. Look for stamps with the words 'departed' and 'arrived' and enter the dates in the 'from Date' and 'to Date' fields.

If you plan to travel before lodging your application, include those future dates as well.

Ito po kasi ung nakasulat sa citizenship letter:

"As a result, it is necessary for you to provide original penal clearance
certificate(s) from the overseas country or countries where you have resided for a
continuous period(s) of 90 days or more since you were first granted permanent
    residence"

    Visa Grant Date : 17 October 2013
    Initial Entry Date : 14 August 2014

Question. Need ko po ba kumuha ulit ng Police Certificate kasi hindi agad ako pumunta ng Australia and more than 90 days yun? Or hindi na kasi yung initial entry date ang pinaka start ng computation since yun din ang start ng years of residence to apply for citizenship? Thanks in advance.
