hi, we're on the same boat....some says na if you can "really" unable to find jobs let say in two-three months time on the state that sponsored then you can jump to another state.

Though, di pa rin talaga clear to most of 190 visa holders. I even confirmed this to my CO but no response until now.

Most of members say wala naman kaso kung magwork and live ka sa ibang state different na nagsponsor sau pero di ba nung nagapply tayo may statement dun na nagpromise tayo na we will live and stay on that state for 2 years and the problem could arise later on during the application for Citizenship. Wala pa rin clear statement, proven experience or statement about this..

Let us wait for comments from our fellow members...

My agent says the same. If I can prove that I really couldn't find a job for a period of time, say 6-mos to a year, then I might as well write a letter to the state to release me from that obligation.

I just can find the topic.. There's already another thread that this scenario was discussed.. I think someone from Perth was able to get approval from immigration to live/work outside the state na nag sponsor sa kanya.. He provided mga refusal letters na na receive nya sa mga companies kung saan sya nag apply..

Hey Guys, just wanted to share ung reply ng immigrations saken regarding this.

    Dear Christopher

Thank you for your email. It is not a condition of your visa that you reside in South Australia, but an agreement for state sponsorship between you and the state that sponsored you. It is not an Immigration matter. Please contact your state to discuss with them if you decide to live outside of SA. Please see the link to our website for your obligations relating to state sponsorship.

I am not able to provide you with any information regarding Citizenship. Please refer to our website for further information in relation to Citizenship.

@ajet02, based on other articles I have read 489 is a more resitricted visa type na "required" ka magstay for particular state sponsoring you. Unlike, 190 (which is Permanent Visa), there are proven legal consequences if you decide to live and work into other state.

we hold a 190 PR visa here in Perth but decided to move state to increase the opportunity of finding a full time work after 4 mos of unsuccessful job applications (civil engrg). We decided to write a letter of release to State Migration of WA which are in-charge of State Sponsorships (not the DIAC) the other day, they immediately replied asking 4 questions that you can answer easily and attached the rejection letters i got (33 to be exact).. Waiting for their final reply soon hoping for a positive feedback and moved on :)

hello guys! we've decided to make an initial entry sa Perth, WA though I was approved a Subclass 190 - NSW. Anyone here who did the same thing, na dumirecho sa non-sponsoring state for a vacation and then will transfer sa state na talagang nag sponsor? Appreciate your inputs :)

State Sponsored has a Moral Obligations to the state and that's it. You can freely move to any state as there are no restrictions on your visa.

Kame ay State sponsored sa WA and sa Singapore pa lang naapprove na.From SG, nagstart na maghanap ng job hubby ko sa Perth pero puro rejection. We then decided to just live in Melbourne. Wala naman kameng sinulatan para ipaalam na we
did not live it WA. Now, citizens na kme and wala naman questions about where we lived or whatsoever. I suppose much better naman na productive citizen ka ng Aussie kahit san ka pa at nagbabayad ng tax
