5 pts for "Partner" at SkillSelect

Hi po! Ask ko lang kung ang definition ba ng partner ay yung married, engaged, and de facto lang? What if parehas kaming may tig 70 pts and parehas na chemical engineer credited by Engineer's Australia, ma claim po ba namin itong 5 pts sa picture? Ang balak po namin ako yung maging main applicant. Will he be considered my "partner" although gf/bf pa lang kami and hindi engaged?

Hi @milktea13 Partner is spouse or defacto. Ito yung conditions to be classified as de facto

@chyrstheen super thank you! Nag lodge na kami both ng engineers aus application. If ever positive outcome na po parehas, both ba kami ggwa ng skillselect account? Both din po ba kami mag lodge ng eoi? Peede po ba na ako main applicant sa visa then sya additional applicant?

@milktea13 yung main applicant lang ang kelangan gumawa ng EOI, tapos magfall na under partner points yung isa. Usually kung sino mas mataas points and mas mababa yung points required ng nominated skill ang magiging primary applicant. Pero in your case pareho naman so kahit sino

@milktea13 ah sorry inassume ko na de facto kayo. If hindi nyo masasatisfy yung partner reqt, pareho kayo magsusubmit ng EOI, wait for invite, separate visa lodge both as primary applicant

@chyrstheen mas mapapamahal pala pag ganun. Tinatanggap po ba nila kasal sa munisipyo? Hehe.. yung de facto po dba ung nag live in or may iisang place of stay and hindi naka pisan pa sa magulang ?

@milktea13 civil wedding ba yun? Di ako sure pero basta legal kasal naman ata pwede. It doesnt matter din if nakatira sa in law basta dapat maprove na you're living together

@chyrstheen hi! would you know kung anong option namen if my husband has BS COE degree but his work is NOT related. More on Logistics/Warehouse Mgt/Admin yung work experience nya e. Ineexplore din kasi namen how to claim partner points e medyo dilemma namen yung skills assessment.

@chyrstheen need po ba kumuha ng IELTS ang partner to be assessed sa 5 points? Primary teached kasi wife ko kaso 8.5 ung IELTS requirement for teacher ang hirap nun.

@chyrstheen yung sa munisipyo lang ehhe. Mas mahihirapan ba kami kung mag papakasal muna sa munisipyo then lodge as one? Pero di muna kami titira sa isang bahay

@milktea13 haha pareho tyo set up magpapakasal muna kami pero hnd muna magsasama din bago mag lodge ng EOI ksi as advised by our agent. mas madali ito kesa defacto kasi need ng maraming evidence.. kapag civil wedding ang need lang marriage cert..

@aranayad No hindi kailangan. Need same shortage list. Example If nasa MLTSSL ang occupation ng main applicant, dapat nasa MLTSSL din ang occupation ng dependent.

@ricrn If di kayo kasal need nagsama kayo ng GF mo for her to be included in your application. Or marry her.

Nagkasama meaning live-in? Pabalik balik kami sa Aus for the past 2 years and same address lang pinas ststayan namin, would that count Mia? Or sa Philippines, plan ko magpagawa ng tenancy contract sa brother ko (yung condo kasi nila for rent), pwede ba yun?

@ricrn Nagsama is understood as live-in in Filipino. It doesn’t matter where you have lived as long as you can prove you lived together like a married couple would (shared bills, addresses, chores, finances etc)

E pano kung ako, score ko 65 pero partner ko 60 lang. Ako yung main applicant, pwede Ba ko mag claim ng points kahit 60 lang sya. Para maging 70 saken??
Positive naman assessment nya, <45 age and ok english test.
