Hi, I’m new here. I just finished my contract sa Saudi and I am preparing for my PTE, also, I am planning to apply for a job here in PH habang inaasikaso po papeles, ask ko lang po if ever, pano un if mauna yung submission ng papers sa AHPRA tapos nakahanap ako work, pano siya idedeclare sa work experience? Thanks po sa sasagot.

@tnrn If you find a job while on process for AHPRA registration, no need to update. After all AHPRA just requires the basic 450 hours of recency of practice within the past 5 years. Also your PRC COGS is required and AHPRA does not expect you to quit your current job while on process.

Hi newbie here.
My LOE was sent to my agent and my agent forwarded it to me. My agent sent me a template of acceptance for refusal and willingness to proceed to bridging , and told me to send it to my R.O once i received the email of my LOE from them(AHPRA R.O). I was not able to receive any email from AHPRA for my LOE. My agent told me wait and that my R.O will email me personally a copy of my LOE but until now I was not able to hear anything from my R.O. How long do I have to wait for my R.O to message me? I received my LOE first week of August

Can I just ask if AHPRA is very particular with the number of bed capacity in the nursing hospital experience? What is their required number of bed capacity? Thank you

@tnrn Ang basic requirement lang naman for recency of practice is 450 hours within the last 5 years... that's roughly 3 months full time... so no worries

@aixirtap If you get an LOE already yun na po yun. Kung tama pagkatanda ko bago yang LOE nag email na ang AHPRA na your qualifications are not suitable for registration and you were given the option to appeal or withdraw the application so you can be referred to a BP. If you get the LOE na, meaning nag withdraw ka na ng application no need to email the RO for another LOE.
What you can do now is to look for a school with approved BP and enrol.

@cucci thank you. I am already applying for SCU's EPIQ in Gold Coast. My first option was to take BP in Sydney but sadly ACN is full , so thus ACFE, and ETEA's BP is on revision. I was not able to find schools in Sydney that offers BP for the rest of this year. My agent adviced me to take BP in SCU this October. Coz if I will wait for next year's intakes baka po daw ma i.expire na yung LOE ko before i could even finish the BP

But for the sake of compliance lalo na sa mga RO na mabusisi we have no choice but comply.

    @Akijo
Please see below to see explanation on Criterion 2 and 3. AFAIK and as far as I can remember, no need to undergo CAV from CHED, although I am not sure what the school did to the documents I requested because they were already sealed in an envelop when handed to me for mailing.

    https://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/registration-and-endorsement/international/accreditation-requirements-of-the-qualification-assessment-model.aspx
Criteria 2 and 3 of the qualification assessment model require that your education institution and program of study were accredited during the period of time that you studied. The NMBA’s specific requirements for criteria 2 and 3 are set out below.

    Criterion 2
The education institution where you studied was externally accredited during the period when you undertook your studies.

That is, during the time you studied your education institution must have been:

subject to regular review by an external quality assurance agency and
registered or accredited by that agency.

Letter template - Instructions to education providers (415 KB,DOCX)

    Criterion 3
Your program of study was externally accredited and provided successful graduates with a qualification in nursing/midwifery.

That is, during the time you undertook your program of study:

the program of study must have been subject to regular review within a system of external accreditation implemented by the relevant nursing and/or midwifery regulatory authority or agency and
the program of study must have been accredited or recognised by that authority or agency and
the system of external accreditation included the application of accreditation standards specific to nursing and midwifery education that are comparable to the current nursing and midwifery accreditation standards and system in Australia.
Information about the accreditation system and standards for nursing and midwifery education in Australia, including links to relevant documents, is published on the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) website.

If your education institution or program of study were not subject to the type of regular external review described above, your qualification will not meet the qualification requirements.

AHPRA has conducted research into nursing and midwifery qualifications awarded by education institutions in a number of countries to establish whether or not they are likely to meet the accreditation requirements. The outcome of this research is described below.

We are continuing to conduct research on nursing and midwifery qualifications issued by education institutions in countries that are not listed below. We will update the information to include qualifications issued by education institutions in other countries as it becomes available.

The categories below do not apply to qualifications where the education institution and/or education program are subject to a system of regular external review by an agency operating outside the country where the applicant studied.

@akijo To be frank, hindi naman po kapanipaniwala na walang record ang school ng mga documents like syllabus. Unless... halimbawa nasunugan, binaha or other fortuitous events in which nawala na ang records. But again, it is quite extreme na walang backup or a copy somewhere.

@Akijo Strange... pero kung wala na talaga eh wala tayong magagawa, siguro you can ask them to issue a certification that they cannot provide a copy anymore... since this is for AHPRA registration and they will be enclosing the certification with other required documents in one sealed envelop at least AHPRA is sure that it comes from the school. Now as to how AHPRA will treat the application, I have no idea with regard to the matter.

Reg ahpra registration: submitted na yung docs, after 10days nag follow-up ako sa ahpra kasi walang email ng confirmation na narecived nila. Nag email sila and sinabi na confirmed na narecived at na scanned into the system na daw. Lol tapos

Hello po. Just got my referral letter yesterday after 3 mos of waiting. Just want to clarify po, according to the letter, 1 year lang ang validity and you need to complete an NMBA-approved bridging program in the said duration. Yung validity po is for the completion ng Bridging program or kasama pati registration? I am planning to apply po sa University of South Australia in Adelaide kasi nandun yung sister ko. Kaya lang 0.5 yrs/ 6mos ang bridging program nila. Ang intake nila is Feb 2019 pa and the expiration ng letter is sept 6, 2019. Another question po is if may refund po ba yung naunang fee for registration since refused? God bless!!

@Stib_Rowx May 3 component ang charge ng AHPRA:
    Application fee - 155
    Overseas Assessment fee - 350
    Registration fee - 155
Ang registration fee component will be refunded sa credit card na ginamit mo.

As long as you finish the BP within the validity of the letter, application for registration can be later.
