CPA board passer- How and where to start

Hi there! I'm a newbie here and medyo na ooverwhelm ako sa mga nababasa ko hehe
Hingi sana ako ng advice sa inyo regarding my situation. I graduated last 2017 as cum laude in ust and in the same year i took the CPA licensure examination. With His help, i ranked 12th in the said examination. Working na ako ngayon as finance service specialist sa isang multinational company in bgc, ps. The company is an australian company. Less than a year pa lang experience ko but gustong gusto ko na makaalis ng bansa to help my family. Any tips po? Or paano ba dapat ako magsimula if gusto ko magwork sa australia

I’ve tried to compute your points which are as follows:

Age - 30 (I assume your at least 25, if not this will be 25)
Education - 15 (I reckon CPAA will award your degree as comprable to an au bachelor degree considering your from uste and a cum laude)
English Exams - 20 (Superior, cum laude so kayang kaya)
Work Experience - 0 (Should be at least 3 yrs to get 5 points.

Total - 65

However, it’ll be hard for you to compete with others as points are now inflated and that invitations for Accountants are done on a pro rata basis.

In my opinion, better na mag gain ka muna ng experience especially sa company mo.

Get at least 5 years experience. Bigger chance for you to get at least 80 pts. It's not that easy to get an accounting job here with 1 yr experience. CPA and honors have little to no bearing. It's all about experience.

In my opinion, best way to start ay basahin ang points table requirement ng Australia.

Asess yourself po kung ilan ang possible points na meron kayo as of now, and also, think of ways kung papaano makukuha yung ibang points, so that you can get an 80 kasi accountant po kayo. (Study sa Au? Take CCL? Have a life partner? Etc. ) take note din po may +5 pts kapag visa 190, then +10 points kapag visa489. Hope this helps and all the best

Yung sinabi pala namin ay pang Migration..hehehe. (189, 190, 489)
Kung target mo ay makapag work in Australia as Work Visa, you can try to read about visa482 din, tignan kung possible ba sayo na magpa Sponsor sa Au headquarter office nyo.

We're at the same position here schoolmate. Engg grad naman ako last 2017 and binalak ko na rin umalis asap. Check the points system muna ng australia pero for accountants kasi sobrang taas ng minimum points required. As of now 60 ka palang I assume and hindi naiinvite yung ganun pts. 80 pts ka dapat at least and that will require you to have at least 8 yrs exp.

@mai:-) 1 year na ako naghintay ng PR visa invite ko but to no avail e. Sayang din time saka mga english exams ko. Balak ko nalang mag pursue ng student path. In 2 yrs kasi i can reach 70 pts which is sana sapat na for an invite by then

@batman kailangan ng exp nun sir e kaka grad ko lang last year. Need nila madalas 2 yrs exp.

@mai:-) hopefully things dont change after I finish studies. Wag ka mawalan ng pag asa magkaka pr visa ka rin for sure it will only take a matter of time.
