    Kame rin wala kakilala..ni ha ni ho...lakasan lang ng loob..walang trabaho walang bahay walang school para sa anak ko...nag airbnb muna kame wishing na mabait ang magpapatuloy samin...So far buhay pa kame at kumakain ng maayos so I suppose that's OK..We just arrived this September.

    Trial and error ang lahat lahat samin..Pero may nakilala narin kame now na filipino community which is great at madali naman yan. You'll be fine.

    Breakfast (cereals,etc) included na yun pero ikaw gagawa haha kase baka busy or asa work sila. Trust bale is both ways. Asa work sila then asa house ka nila. They will also give you a key. That time nga pinapagamit pa car nila sa asawa ko pero wala namn sya license kaya no use for us. Then we paid about $1100 for 1 month...1 room lang pero pinagamit narin samin yung isa pang room bale we occupy the second floor na may bathroom/toilet chaka lounge na may TV. you can also cook doon.

    Mukhang ok pala yung ganyang setup... pano po kayo nakahanap ng airbnb? baka pedeng pa-share ng link hehe... ano po usually requirements ng family na nagpapa-rent? i.e. kailangan ba ng down payment, security bond, character reference?...sensya na, dami kong tanong

    Sino po dito yung mga walang kakilala sa Aus pero naging OK naman ang kalagayan? Wala po kasi ako kakilala sa Aus kaya medyo kinakabahan ako. hehehe!
    solo flight din ako mate.. and target ko january alis pero still no state to go to.. antay muna siguro baka maka tsamba for interview at least chances of being hired is higher..

    @ sydneyblued mron ako nakilala family sa ibang forum nag pa rent din cla ng 2 rooms. Dun nga kami tumira pag dating namin dito dis year. Pwede kita I refer dun. Tama c diwata mas cheaper kesa hostel and mabait naman cla. Wala rin kami kakilala nung dumating kami dito with 2 kids so far okay naman. Nilakihan lang namin ang baon para di masyado kabahan.

    Basta 10k aus dollars baon namin...good for 6 mos daw yun...pero di naman rin naubos...i got a job after 3 wks then my wife go her job after 6 mos...may struggle din pero tyaga lang talaga...and wag mapili sa trabaho, kung ano meron go for it!

    Mas mahal ang hostel syempre...mas matipid pa rin kung makakita ka ng bahay...mahal nga nkuha namin 375/week pero ayos na...dati pinakamura sa hostel is 90/day...kaya buti na lang nkakita ako ng filipino na nagpa rent ng room nila...kaya nkamura kami. God is Good talaga!

    Saka wag kayo matakot tumira sa western sydney...mas mura dito kaysa northern beaches...dami din pinoy dito and mixed yung culture.

    Natatakot din ako sa pagpunta ko sa Oz. I'm going to Brisbane in a couple of months. Wala ako kakilala, haven't arranged a place to stay, and to top it all, I'm going alone! Meron ba sa inyo who can share their experience when they first got here?

    I should be happy for this opportunity (and I am), but it's all daunting! :((

    I was told madami Pinoys sa Brisbane. Although wala pa ako nakikilala or nakakausap pa. I have friends in Oz po naman, but they work in hospitals in other states!

    Oo nga eh, in my research, I stumbled on this website. I really am trying to gather as much info as I can to ease my anxiety somewhat. Ang hirap, new place and starting over!

    Thanks for the advice. Ako lang po yata ang natanggap sa trabaho na iyak ng iyak!! But i can do this!! I WILL do this!
