Yung mga na sendan ng separate email about technical assessment nag send ba kayo ng email na coming from philippines pa kayo?

Parang ang random kasi ng mga binigyan.

@forged yung nag confirm ako for singapore roadshow sinabi ko na coming from ph ako. Pro I think nagbased cla sa skype interview and parang npansin ko ung mga naka received ng email bout technical assessment is 1pm onwards ung sched ng exam on monday (pansin ko lang). Feeling ko 2 separate type of exam yung sa monday, umaga pang functional then after lunch ung sa technical.

@Kateee pero bakit si @kramwell wala daw na receive kahit na automation yung naging takbo ng Skype interview niya haha labo.

Ilan years xp mo sa automation kung pwede malaman?

@forged feeling ko lang nman.. hehehe... 1-2yrs lang experience ko sa automation at 4yrs ago na un kaya nakakakaba tuloy :-(

Share ko lng yung experience ko before applying on Automation

We had a functional exam din pero i don't think it does matter kung technical position inapplyan mo. Yung kasama ko alam namin na failed talaga sya sa exam (na missed out nya ung isa sa required question haha) pero naka proceed pa rin ng Final interview. Pero inaral ko pa rin and fortunately pumasa. Then moving on the next day for Panel Interview (technical director and head of automation).

Before the interview start, tinanong ako kung san ako confident na language. Then may pinasagutan saking form which consist of 3 coding questions (may nakaready ng mga form for any language that you choose, tell and explain the result to them)

Then yung interview, same lang din sa skype interview, mas detailed lang dahil face to face na at 2 na yung interviewer. Inabot din ng 1hour. Specific to automation yung tanong. Framework, Language, Automation Tools, Git Commands, Data driven etc. Iikot lng lahat ng mga tanong sa kung anong skills ang meron ka.

Then the technical assessment. Dito kame nabigla kase wala naman sinabi samen na may ganito, akala namin after nung final interview waiting game nlng haha. After a few days, naka receive kame ng instruction email about sa technical assessment. Nag remote sa isang machine nila and did some scripting. They would check on how you create a script including your coding standards. May few questions din about automation.

Then the final moment, the most nerve wracking part, the waiting game. Kung papasa ka ba o hindi. Haha

So ayan yung journey ko applying for Technical position. I am now with PlanIT! Goodluck sa inyong lahat!

Oo nga, safe kaya i-assume na pag walang natanggap na separate email for technical interview/assessment e sa functional ka na?

Separate ba yung email? I think assessment is made based on resume and interview. Sila na nag classify Kung mas fit kayo for what role.
Sino ang for technical dito? Sino functional?
I think kahit functional ka, you could have additional interviews - based from previous roadshows. Minsan kasi di naman directors ang kasama sa roadshows. Kaya nag rerequire sila ng another interview.
Aside sa walang specific link ang automation and functional this year, parang Wala din option to choose location? Tama ba?

@jeanne On my Skype interview, tinanong ako ng interviewer ko kung anong track yung gusto ko. I have a little knowledge on automation but I am more confident on functional testing, kaya sinabi ko functional testing. As for the email invites, wala sa details any information about automation so I assume functional ako nilagay nong interviewer. For the location naman, tinanong ako kung saan ko daw ba gusto? Australia or New Zealand. I told him Australia and he asked me where, so I gave may top two preferred locations in AU.
