@Hendro makakapagapply ka ng tfn and centrelink pag onshore ka na.. but yeah, as long as you're on shore, pwede mo ilagay ang postal address anywhere sa oz

Hi guys isa pa plang importante na gawin pagdating nyo here is to take an ambulance cover.. every state is different ... here in melb indi sya cover ng governmnt so i suggest kumuha kayo nito mahal ang singil nila pag naemergency ka. Victoria ambulance is like around 85aud for a year na whole family n kmi or kapag may private insurance ka check if kasama sya.

Hi! Meron na kaya ditong based sa UAE (or kahit anong ibang bansa) na nag-IE/BM via Cebu Pacific? Maganda kasi sana at may 12hours na layover sa Manila, makakapasyal pa ko sa pamilya ko saglit, ang kaso di kaya magkaproblema pag check-in ko uli at makita sa immigration na cancelled na visa ko sa UAE (kasi syempre resigned na) tapos Au na ang visa ko pero wala naman akong pdos?

Eto po sequence ko kanina:
1. Collected my atm card from CAB.
2. Applied for photo id. Yung atm and passport ang naging 2 valid ids.
3. Applied for medicare and centrelink

All done in 3 hours.

@flaming_vines nung nag register ako sa NAB i used SG number, then sa IE i bought s AU sim, went to NAB and updated the contact details.

I used the AU number sa job applications pero hndi sa NAB transactions.
I think you can send money from sg account posb directly to NAB.

Guys, update:
Arrived 26 Jan. processed stuff whole week of last week and sent cv online sa kung saan saan. Got an interview today. Will do trial next week. So sana maging smooth lahat next week!

Oh. Kasi nagpunta ako sa optus, vodafone and telstra - hindi nila advise na magroaming daw ako if 3 months ko gamitin sa Singapore. E kasi IE lang ako ngayon e. Mahal daw tpos sabi nung vodafone at telstra dito sa George street wala daw prepaid na roaming.

@mxv588t nagamit ko nmn ung prepaid sim, 3 months sa sg at 1 month sa pinas. Pede mo top up $10 online minimum to receive calls from Au. mabilis xa maubos depende sa calls na matatanggap mo. Hnd ko nmn ginamit for data kasi sg number pa rin nmn ang main.

Optus prepaid epic kinuha ko nun.
Pang IE, ginamit ko panggala, hehe and pang roaming na ng isang buwan.

@mafimushkila123 yes. Makukuha mo yung cfo sticker after ng pdos/seminar.
Bago yunh seminar, need mo magpa appointment.
Requirements mo ay passport at grant letter.

@Captain_A actually naka transfer na ako 3x from POSB to NAB. Wala naman problem. Yun Sms token to my SG number ni require lang naman sa initial setup ng ibanking account. Pero sa overseas transfer wala naman sms. Ang inde ko kasi alam kapag fully activated na yun account (nameet ko na yun bank officer next month at naupdate to AU number), e kun sa online transactions i require ako ng sms token sa AU number. Kaya natanong ko kun mandatory na AU number o mag stick sa SG number muna since matagal pa ang BM ko. Pero since sinabi ni @caienri na may top-up mechanism naman online un AU prepaid card para ma maintain. ganon na lang gawin ko. Bili na lang din prepaid at update NAB then top up na lang every x months habang inde pa nag BM.

Good luck sa BM guys! Been here in Melb for almost a year na (how time flies). Tip ko lang especially sa may mga kids, process your centrelink ASAP. Apply for CCS even if you feel na d kayo qualified. Its income tested and matagal yung processing so it would be good to know if qualified ka before enrolling your kids to any daycare or before/after care in schools.

Sa Feb. 20 ang appointment ko. Kayo po?

@aimmephoenix @jon1101a Ganun narin ang ginawa ko naka picture format (jpg) yung passport biopage at visa grant letter kaso ayaw parin, lumalabas padin yung error. Pag nirefresh ko naman babalik lang siya sa registration page.
