In regards to jobs, dedepende yan sa swerte mo pero nasa disadvantage tayo e. Di pwede full time since di tayo PR so unlikely tayo na mahire sa engg jobs, as well as kalaban natin ang locals. I tried sending tons of emails to engg companies. Walang nagpush through kahit isa haha. Be prepared ka dito na di maging maarte to do something unrelated sa engg.
Do more research, pero keep in mind na masters man o diploma course, both will give +5. You need to plan ahead before coming here. I personally resorted to student visa as it's my only option to get more points in 2 yrs, since kakagraduate ko lang last 2017.
These are all my personal experiences cause I am in the same boat as you. All the best!

@MLBS ahh ganun po ba.I’ll consider po your course tho may appointment rin po ako bukas with AMS global. Ok lang po sakin magwork outside engg field kahit anong work po while focusing on getting my PR ) Gusto ko lang po ma’make sure na we’ll have higher chances po on getting our engg field jobs/dream jobs in AU after PR. Wala rin po kasi ako masyado nababasa about engr sa AU. Thank you po!!
@kailey hello po! Gaano katagal na po kayo sa AU? Nagdiploma ka rin po ba?

@zyrari dumating ako dito sa Sydney dec 2017 (after oathtaking) tapos 3months na bakasyon lang sana kaso ayaw ko na umuwi hahaha! kaya natuloy sa student visa and isa si MLBS sa nakausap ko about jan sa PR and student pathway. And tama din sya na mahirap maghanap ng work expi kung gusto mo na related sa field natin dahil pag magaapply ka ma fifilter ka agad dahil sa work restrictions.

Totoo mga sinasabe nila MLBS at kailey.
With regards sa pocket money, consider mo yung 3-5 months usual rent mo sa State mo. Like for example for my case in Perth, usually 130 to 150 aud per week ang rate.
You can find details sa rent sa flatmates or gumtree websites.
If plan mo magstudent visa, madadaanan mo rin yan kasi need mo yan imention sa SOP. How you will manage ur budget.

Nakakatuwa yung mga young professionals like yourselves na maaga pa lang, iniisip na ang best possible future.
I arrived in Sydney in 2014. Almost 5 years ago. I was 26. In the last 5 years, I was able to have my own family and earn at least 12 times than I was earning sa Pilipinas (ie. 1 year doon = 1 month dito)
I have my citizenship exam scheduled early March. Moving to Australia will always be in the top 3 best decisions I've ever made in my life.
Good luck sa inyong lahat! There are a lot of pathways available. It might be harder now than it was during my time, but if you don't try now, it will just get harder and harder down the line.
P.S UST ComSci graduate ako batch 2009. Shoutout to all Thomasians.

so glad I came across this thread and saw mga kapwa Thomasians and Engineers.
Graduate po ako ng IE few years back and planning to take a student visa since di aabot points ko for PR.
First choice ko sana is Diploma in Project Management pero nagbago ang isip ko at baka Diploma in IT or Systems Analysis and Design na lang.
I saw @kailey is taking up Diploma in Project Management at naisip ko na naman bumalik. hoho!
