    Although its better to be safe than sorry and it's alright to be paranoid during BM... for me, never ako nagworry about bringing piracy stuff in laptop or external hd. I think sinasabi lang sa PDOS to be cautious about bringing them but in reality, Sydney airport is too crowded and busy to check each and every laptop and ensure if your OS or programs are pirated or not lol.

    When you arrive at the airport its not like may sticker tag ka sa damit mo na "BIG MOVE person beware and inspect their bags" ... lol nah, nakahalo ka naman with other visitors. So unless you are smuggler of pirated stuff or bringing in multiple laptops and external hardrives then I wouldn't worry about being stopped and randomly checked.

    I've been bringing my laptop for years when I travel and i'm sure a lot of people do the same. I'm not saying this to put you guys in trouble and its always better to advise not to bring them for peace of mind..., all i'm saying is take a chill pill lang before deleting any of your stuffs when coming here. To be honest, mas concern pa ako when bringing meat coz they have dogs sniffing around your bags.

    As for movies, you can get Netflix and Stan and you are all set. halos lahat nandun na eh. They have 1 month trial free to keep you guys entertained while looking for work haha.

    2. Where to best buy AUD from peso in Australia? I will be based on Sydney and live there together with my sister and her family.
    3. San pong site to best check buying of Aud in Australia?
    4. Is it recommended to open an account from Australian banks right away khit nsa pinas pa ako?
    5. I had accounts on BPI & BDO here sa pinas anu po ang mas duable na bank sa AU (WESTPAC, ANZ, NAB, Commonwealth, st. george bank) in terms of transactions and fees like withdrawing AUD from peso savings?

    4 for me pagdating na. Unless may money ka e swift transfer and di pwed online(pirma2x etc)
    5 i had anz, nab citibank; ing ako ngaun mas ok(high rates, no charges, no maintenaing balance)
    6 no please dont use pinas cc in au as much as posible( foreign transaction fee, visa/MasterCard processing fee, low forex) ang labanan magiging aud price convert to Usd before magiging bill mo na php. Note those fees will be in percentage of the transaction amt.

    but if money is no object, eh di go lang ng go hehe

    Hello po, same ba yung learner’s test among all states? If so, pwede po ba sa BNE mag take ng learner’s exam then eventually sa VIC mag practice, and eventually take ng hazard and actual driving tests? Thanks sa sasagot. :)

    @Birthmark CFO sticker in your passport indicating you have undergone PDOS is a basic requirement at the immigration stop for emigrant Philippine citizens.

    5. What are departure requirements for emigrant Philippine citizens? http://immigration.gov.ph/faqs/travel-req

    Unexpired passport;
    Immigrant visa or residence card;
    CFO-emigrant registration sticker (ERS); and
    Validly-issued travel ticket

    While some may have been able to bypass this requirement for some reason or another, why take the hassle and risk of being not allowed to board your flight if one can simply comply?

    @Grifter
    1) Yes no need
    2) Yes if you have realized gains/losses. Like interests on bank accounts too, you need to declare it especially if amount is material.

    @zach@052019 you can read my blog on how to file for claim https://www.thediaryofthelucas.com/2019/03/centrelink-benefits-and-how-to-claim.html

    For the enrolment, you can check the government websites or you can check this site http://www.essentialkids.com.au/education/school/starting-school/starting-age-for-first-year-of-school-20150526-gh9mf2

    Also, please do check our facebook page or blog. Will be writing soon about net pay in australia, those who are interested in stocks (and I am stuck :)) ), may pera sa basura, driving but it's more on queensland. Don't forget to like and subscribe.
