    guys, magsasubmit ako ng ielts application sa sunday... pero hindi ko alam yung exact address ng embassy na ipoforward ko yung result ng ielts ko(applications to recognizing organizations).... any information po will help.... maraming salamat..
    i think online nila sinesend yan... hindi actually hard copy...
    you need the organizational code... example Engineers Australia has some code ex. X12345..

    or baka naman hindi kailangan sila ang magforward ng results..
    normally pwede mo kunin ang actual copy.. and then give/forward a copy it to who ever requires it..

    you need to check that if that is what they want..

    sir @lock_code2004 at sir @LokiJr, pareho kami ng husband ko na kukuha sa feb.02.. sakin kasi requirement sya sa EA assessment..(so that means iaaddress ko sya sa EA?) pero yung sa husband ko nmn para sa partner skills,then assess sa VETASSESS (so that means sa Vetassess ko sya iaaddress?) ganun po ba.. kasi whoever gets the higher score will be our main applicant, in our case,i can have a 189 or 190 visa,pero since sched 2 yung occupation ng husband ko sa 190 visa sya.. so yun na lang ang kulang sa pifill upan nmin.. gusto sana nmin makakuha ng mataas na points kaya minamaximized namin sya..salamat

    @kathfrancisco08 opo.. Sa EA nyo isesend. Check their website kung anu ang code nila for sending IELTS.

    For VETASSESS, ielts score is not a requirement for the skills assessment process. So you don't need to send anything.

    Get the original copy of the result, keep it, you will need it for EOI/Visa application..goodluck!!

    @kathfrancisco08 yup ganun nga po ang strategy ng ilan sa ating mga forumers. IELTS muna kayo, kung sino ang mas mataas ang nakuha (hopefully all 7 or above), siya yung magiging primary at yung visa requirements niya ang susundin :)

    Based on my experience, mas mahira pa yung mga tanong sa reviewers kaysa sa actual exams..Basta kuha mo yung 'styles' kung paano atakihin yung mga exams, you'll be fine :)

    Natapos na rin ang IELTS written exam ko sa wakas, speaking na lang on Wednesday! Sa BC SG ako nag-register, sa Regent Hotel yung venue ng exam. Ang daming pinoy, meron ba dito na kasabay ko din kanina? Yung katabi ko Pinay din pero hindi kami nag-usap ni Ate. :D I think I actually did well in the exam, meron lang konti sa listening part na hindi ako masyadong sure sa sagot. I am hoping na tama yung self-assessment ko. :) Eto lang mga tips ko sa mga mag e-exam pa lang.

    Listening - Do not always expect na kung ano yung exact words sa selection of answers eh yun din ang babanggitin sa audio lalong lalo na sa 4th section ng test. Understand the topic being discussed then select the most logical answer.

    Reading - Again, same with listening, intindihin mabuti ang topic. Hindi kailangan i-memorize word by word, basta nakuha mo lang yung gist ng story you'll do fine. Pag hindi mo makita ang keyword sa tanong, himayin ang passage para makita ang sagot. Yung 1st, 2nd and 3rd section madali lang... pwede mo ngang basahin muna ang tanong bago hanapin ang sagot. Pero yung last part, eto na yung medyo mahirap kasi ang mga sagot sa tanong hindi masyadong obvious. Yung content nya is comparable sa Academic Reading. Kung itong section ang weakness mo, I suggest you practice using Academic materials para masanay ka how to read between the lines.

    Writing - Ang swerte ng mga nag-exam kanina kasi madali lang yung topics assigned. Yung 1st part is personal letter, you just need to write to a friend and describe the vacation you just had and how the guide book you borrowed from him/her helped you in planning the trip. You also need to mention when you will return the book. Yung essay naman is you need to discuss why some people believe that children should always follow what their parents say while some believe that children should learn how to think for themselves. Then state which side you agree with. Eto lang ang tips ko:

    1. Do not write your answer in the question booklet! Nasayang lang yung oras ko sa pag-transfer sa answer sheet kaya medyo nastress ako during the last 10 minutes of the exam. Pwede ka naman gumamit ng pencil so in case may gusto ka baguhin madali naman magbura.

    2. Stay in familiar territory, this is not a time to explore on a subject you are not familiar with. Nagsayang ako ng halos 10 minutes sa 1st part ng writing kasi ang una kong napili idiscuss is yung dream vacation ko in Egypt. Eh since hindi pa naman ako nakapunta talaga sa lugar na yan kaya nahirapan ako i-describe yung details ng holiday. So binura ko yung ginawa ko at kinwento ko na lang yung bakasyon kunyari sa pinas, problem solved. :D Remember that you should only spend a maximum of 20 minutes sa Task 1 ng writing so you should use your time wisely kasi mas malaki ang mark sa Task 2.

    3. It pays to be naturally curious. Read, read, read! Remember na ang topics for the writing exam is diverse so kung hindi ka familiar sa topic eh mahirap magpaka-creative.

    4. Focus on practicing how to arrange your thoughts logically and how to link your arguments. Do not forget the 3 main parts of an essay (Intro, Body and Conclusion). Practicing will help you a lot, which I didn't do, unfortunately. Buti na lang madali lang yung topic sa Task 2 kaya hindi ako masyadong nahirapan at buti na lang din nagbasa ako ng IELTS tips sa writing at nakinig ng IELTS podcasts.

    5. Wag i-max out ang oras sa pagsusulat ng content. If possible, spend at least 5 minutes to count the words kasi sayang naman ang score mo kung below the minimum ang word count.

    Yan lang ang mase-share ko. I am hoping and praying na makakuha ako ng mataas na score. Goodluck sa mga mag-eexam pa lang. :)

    hello again, done with L-R-W part of IELTS yesterday. tomorrow would be my Speaking test.

    i totally agree with what @rara_avis said at kahit BC Ph ako nagtake, we had the same set of tests. yan na yan din yung exam ko dito pinas.

    ako po nahirapan talaga sa section 4 ng listening. i totally got lost on the last 6 items. yung katabi ko kinausap ako after the exam, sabi nya saken nadalian daw sya sa reading pero yung listening daw hindi na nya nasagutan yung last part din ng section 4. tapos nakichika na rin yung 2 pips na nasa likod namin, nahirapan din daw sila intindihin yung section4.

    sa writing, same question, personal letter and yung task2 yung sa children should follow what their parents tell them. madali lang po yung both task. kahit sino kaya sagutan yun pero ang challenging is yung time. nagahol po ako sa time. sulat doctor kasi ako kaya sobrang naging conscious ako sa handwriting ko kaya naubos kakaayos ng sulat ko. kumain ako ng 38 mins sa task 1 and this was my downfall. dapat hindi ko ininsist na tapusin yung task 1 at dapat nagproceed na ako sa task 2. ang nangyari tuloy, maayos ang task 1 ko pero ang task 2 ko sobrang halatang pinilit lang matapos. :(

    goodluck po sa mga test takers and sana naman makuha ko ang required bandscore. thanks po pala sa mga napulot kong tips dito sa forum. nakatulong po yun.

    Hi guys! Just to share, for Academic module ang essay question po nung Sat goes like this: People who read for pleasure develop more imaginations and better language skills than those who watch T. V. To what extent you agree or disagree?

    Sa task 1 naman po, there were two pie charts, one showing the reasons people in the UK live and work in other countries and the other chart showing the reasons they stayed in the UK.

    @blackrose nawala rin ako sa last 6 questions sa listening....ang hirap nung part na un. Sa listening, never ever let yourself tlaga na ma distract.

    My speaking test is on Thursday pa. Balitaan ko kau sa mga questions after ;)

    @blackrose - Nakakalito talaga yung last part ng listening kasi hindi explicitly mentioned sa audio yung mga answers. Kelan nga ulit yung release date ng results natin?

    Ang alam ko hindi yung kausap mo ynug mag grade sayo. Ibang examiner sya to be independent at prevent bias. Papakinggan nya ang recording kaya dapat clear at medyo malakas para pag pinakinggan ng taga grade maayos. I guide ka lang interviewer mo, kaya dapat ok ka din para maging maganda usapan nyo.

    Napakinggan ko lang yan sa Youtube hindi ako masyado sigurado pero make sense naman. Kaya may recording and tska to maintain the integrity of the IELTS exam. May problema sa controls kapag sila din ang taga grade. Baka magka under the table somewhere, hehehe

    Hehehe. Kaya wala ding score sa mga body language or things like that. Kumbaga segregation of duties sa terms naming mga auditors, pero mas maganda may mag confirm or magtanong sa examiner dun sa mga mag speaking plang haha.

    By the way, Sa january 19 nako. Pakiramdam ko hindi pa ako prepared pero bahala na. Try lang ng try and keep punching =)

    Ok po ba yung review sa Niner? I inquired Kasi before but it seems their offer is mock exams, more of a familiarization with the exam format and some tips which you can already get from the web. I would advise for those taking the exam, identify your weak point(s) and pay for a review that will focus on that. Meron po sa web nag-offer ng speaking review via Skype and writing. They give their feedback so you know the areas you can improve on. I haven't tried this kasi late ko na nalaman but I think it's more worth the money.
