very accessible to public transport:
bus stop and tram stop is just a few meters away from the house
tram to city approx. 45 mins.

LA TROBE university is just 2 tram stops away approx. 3 mins travel time

in close proximity to shopping centres:
Polaris shopping centre - 5 minute walk, open shopping centre that has restaurants, Woolworths, and more restaurants, and did I mention restaurants?
Bundoora square - 5 tram stops, like Polaris shopping centre but instead of Woolworths they have Coles and Aldi instead
Summerhill shopping centre - 7 tram stops, slightly smaller than Northland but it has everything in one place (Aldi, Coles, Kmart etc.)
Northland shopping centre - 15 minutes via public transportation, biggest shopping centre in the northern suburbs and has it all!

near preston market (one of the cheapest wet markets in all of melbourne -TIPID TO THE MAX lalo na kung marunong ka magluto!
15 mins or less travel time (tram+bus)

generally lower cost of living kasi nasa suburbs as compared to living in the city

Very ideal to those who want to study in Latrobe or those who just want to escape the hustle and bustle in the city.
