    @syaoran Have you notified the immigration though? Did you ask the school why is it going to take that long? I think you’ll be fine since you already have a substantive visa and as long as you notify the immigration.

    https://www.ahpra.gov.au/Education/Approved-Programs-of-Study.aspx?ref=Nurse&Type=Bridging&div=Registered Nurse (Division 1)

    @anamarie sorry girl diko masyado naintindihan. You mean andito ka sa AU onshore ka as international student or resident/citizen kna?

    Yung ACN hindi tumatanggap ng mga international students as of the moment wether nag aapply ka within AU or galing PH. Yung mga tinatanggap lng nila ngayon yung mga domestic (citizen/permanent resident) na meron ng mga RN license before pero nag stop mag practice ng profession at hindi nag practice for the last 5 years, so parang reentry lng yung mga tinatanggap nila ngayon.

    Pero kahit naman baguhin nila yung system, lagyan ng OBA yung bridging, still you will need AHPRA letter, so better apply it nalang.

    Nag DIY lang din ako, inutusan ko lang mama ko pumunta sa PRC para ipapadala yung Certificate of good standing. Yun lang naman kylangan from PRC. The rest na requirements galing sa school mo like yung course description, at CHED accreditation. The rest pwede nang certified copy like TOR, RLE, Board Rating Certificate at school good standing.

    Hello! I recently spoke with an agency that said au is planning to abolish the bridging program soon. In replacement daw is their EPIQ Program. If you are familiar with UK’s process, it’s similar to that. Something like an outcome based assessment. Di na daw kailangan mag bridging. You just have to take 3 exams. Yung english proficiency, CBT (which can be taken here in the PH) and the actual exam to be taken in AU. Anyone who knows or is planning to tale this path? Medyo pricey kasi yung bayad kay agency and I want to know more kung possible ba na DIY na lang sya. Thank you!

    @bikwinibottom This is not confirmed yet coz wala pa naman nilalabas na statement ang NMBA. However, sa recent announcement nila, the new program is set to commence early 2020 that's why yung mga schools ngayon walang openning for Bridging. But the current IRON/EPIQ ayyy:

    Theory + Work Placement
    and the new one is probably but not yet confirmed:
    Theory + Work Placement + OBA (which is online based).

    However, meron mga schools like Monash and Deakin na meron parin pathway for RN. Yun nga lang hindi na sya IRON/EPIQ program, it's now called "Australian Nursing Studies stream" which is na i consolidate na sa MASTERS OF NURSING, upon finishing 1 semester which is 6 months, you are now eligible to apply for an RN license and you may take early exit sa course ng masters. or proceed if you want to get the master degree.

    Yung last batch ng EPIQ sa Monash ay ngayong july 2019 but those are the ones who applied before october 2018. And yung Australian Nursing Studies Stream ay effective sa kanila FEB 2020, and this is the same for schools like DEAKIN.

Plus dahil full time, di ka mkakapag work.

    Pero maraming beses na binago yung stream sa bridging so I'm waiting for end of this year kung ano sasabihin ng mga schools.

    Goodluck pla sa IELTS mo. Sana makuha muna.

    @cherryeoh2004 For AHPRA rego the recency of practice criteria will be met by having 450 hours experience within the last 5 years. Your hubby will not meet this criteria. Either he finds employment as a nurse for 450 hours before proceeding with AHPRA registration or undergo a nursing conversion course.

Bali 6 months

    Thank you for your call and your interest in studying our bridging program for overseas nurses at Monash University.

    It's great to hear that you are looking to pursue further study here with us at Monash.

    I am pleased to advise you that this program is offered as the Australian Nursing Studies stream within the Master of Advanced Nursing. We no longer provide the Internationally Qualified Nursing (IQN) program or the Initial Registration of Overseas Nurses (IRON) program. The Australian Nursing Studies stream has replaced these courses.

    I would like to advise you that the next available intake for this course is February 2020. For your convenience, I have included general course information below which you may find useful.

    Course Structure:

    Students enrolled in the Australian Nursing studies specialisation will need to complete NUR5112 and NUR5113. These units are conducted in one semester within the Masters of Advanced Nursing. These two units need to completed to be compliant with AHPRA bridging requirements for an internationally qualified nursing registration.

    You may take an early exit from the Masters of Advanced Nursing upon the completion of the ANS stream and apply to graduate with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma provided you have satisfied the requirements for that award during your enrolment in this master's course.

    Alternatively, you may continue with your studies to complete the Master of Advanced Nursing in another specialisation.

    Fees:

    The annual course fee for 2019 is approximately A$33,000 for a standard full-time study load. Fees are subject to change annually and can be paid on a semester basis.

    Please note that students exiting with Graduate Certificate of Advanced Nursing and enrolling only in the ANS stream units would undertake half of the annual full-time course load and consequently incur half of the annual full time course fee.

    Entry requirements:

    To be considered for entry, you must have completed an undergraduate degree (Australian equivalent) in Nursing with at least a credit (60%) average. You must also satisfy the following extra requirements and selection criteria:

    - Certified evidence of current nursing registration.
    - Certified copy of the transcript of results/previous education achievements.
    - Be an overseas qualified nurse with a qualification that is equivalent to that required of a
    degree qualified Australian trained registered nurse;
    - Provide a personal letter of eligibility to undertake a registered nurse bridging program
    from the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency;
    - Have practised as a registered nurse in an acute care* ward for at least one year within the
    5 years prior to the application;
    - Acute care refers to clinical health-care functions, including medical care, emergency
    medicine, trauma care, pre-hospital emergency care, acute care surgery, critical care/
    intensive care, urgent care and short-term inpatient stabilisation (or at discretion of
    course coordinator)

    English entry requirements:

    - Occupational English Test transcript and AHPRA's approval letter; or
    IELTS 6.5 overall. No band lower than 6.0; or
    - TOEFL Paper-based test: 550 with a TWE 4.5; or
    - TOEFL Internet-based test: score of 79 overall with minimum scores: Writing 21, Listening
    12, Reading 13, Speaking 18; or Pearson Test of English (Academic): Overall 58 with no PTE
    communicative skills score below 50 ; or Equivalent approved English test

    How to apply:

    You are welcome to apply online using the Monash Online Admission and Scholarships Application.

    To apply, you will need:

    To make sure you apply for M6006 - Master of Advanced Nursing and select the “Australian nursing studies” stream
    Certified copy of the transcript of results/previous education achievements.
    Evidence that you meet the English language requirements
    Copy of your passport
    A non-refundable A$100 application fee
    When submitting an application, you should attach copies of all relevant supporting documents. Originals or certified copies of your academic documents must be provided to Monash University upon request.

    @cherryeoh2004

    Almost same price lang naman. Mas mahal lang ng konti sa IRON/EPIQ sa ACN, yung fee ng ACN 14k sa Monash yung fee nasa 16.5k dahil half fee lng nmn babayaran mo sa annual fee. Yung difference lang yung ANS stream 6 months so mas mahaba sya at full time, mahirap mag fulltime study ng 6months na di ka mkakapag trabaho, masyado magastos.

    I suggest ipa take mo nlng muna yung partner mo ng english test at ipakuha ng work experience sa pinas dahil yung ANS stream kylangan parin ng AHPRA letter, meaning kailangan parin maipasa yung requirements na 450hrs at english para mkuha yung letter. At on top sa AHPRA letter, requirement sa Monash yung atleast 1 year na nursing experience para mkapasok sa ANS stream.

    Hopefully magbukas soon ang mga schools ng bridging for nxtyr intake para kung may bridging parin, di masyado magastos at matagal ang process.

    Goodluck sa inyo!

    @jjlara

    I don't think nag rerequire ng vaccines ang home affairs sa medical sa student visa application. Most likely ang school ang may requirement sayu ng vaccines hindi ang home affairs dahil ganun naman talaga sa mga nursing schools dito sa Australia. Mkakakuha ka ng visa kahit walang MMR pero yun lng dika mkka lodge ng visa kung walang LOE/COE sa school. May admission knaba sa school? Nka kuha kanaba ng COE?

    Strict pa naman ang mga uni sa mga vaccines kapag nursing course mo kylangan ma follow yung guidelines ng specific state for immunisation kasi nasa amendment nila yun at required ng DOH nila. Kung di kpa na isyuhan ng LOE yung school ang i contact mo na kung pwd kba isyuhan na ng offer letter sabihin mo lng nka schedule kna man na ng june 26, pagawan mo lng letter siguro sa doctor.

    How true that ACN is only accepting citizens/ resident RNs in AUS?

    I actually got a reply from them Asking for documents with a certain link. I did, However, sent the documents last march, until now there is no offer. I emailed them last week and they replied that the process is taking long due to changes with the new Epiq Course and due to the large number of applicants, tsking 6-10months for reply.

    I dunno if I should wait for this. My loe will expire feb nxt ye.

    After my conversion, while waiting for my Ahpra registration I immediately look for a job that can sponsor me for a Tss482 visa. Another option was to enroll another course like diploma in leadership and managment so I can apply for another student visa. Fortunately I landed a job that sponsors visa 482.
