hello mga kapatid ask lng ako sa mga nag BM na sa oz. Pwd ba ma convert ang philippine drivers license dun? Or sa mga galing sg na nag move to oz nag pa convert ba muna kayo to sg drivers license before converting to OZ license? TIA

Hi po sa inyong lahat, sa August pa kami mag-BM ng wife ko. Ask/confirm ko lang, bale mag AirBnB muna kami noh tapos pag nasa Oz na maghanap ng mauupahan na pangmatagalan? Mahirap ba talaga maApprove makaRent jan if wala pang work? Mga gaano katagal kaya kami mag AirBnB. Sydney SubUrbs namin balak tumira, bandang Blacktown&Parramatta pa lang nasaSuggest samin... Hi guys, just want to share our big move experience. Me and my wife moved here in Sydney last May 26 under visa 189. Day after we arrived inayos na namin ang Bank Acct(NAB), Medicare and TFN. TFN online lang siya and dumating ang letter after 4 days. We went to medicare office and nag-fill up lang kami ng forms sa computer nila, then ok na, siguro it take us an hour sa medicare. They gave us our number printed in a temporary ID na nasa bond paper lang. Our medicare ID naman arrived 4 days after. For NAB naman, we went to the branch that we selected when we opened our account, but when we got there hindi rin namin agad na-activate ang account namin kasi kulang ng PH id ang wife ko.. We showed our passports and driver's license, kaso maiden name ang nasa license nya, so we went to medicare muna, got our temporary medicare id then went back to NAB. This time sa ibang branch ng NAB na kami pumunta, ok lang daw na sa ibang branch pumunta to activate the account, kahit hindi sa branch na nilagay during the acct application. ATM cards arrived after 3 working days.

So for ok naman kami dito, still searching for a job online sa linkedin and seek. I'm a software engineer and parang mahirap ata makahanap ng work ngayon kasi end of financial year nila, so busy ang mga companies mag-close ng books. So baka mas ok mag big move around July. Though I already went to some interviews na profiling pa lang. Hopefully makahanap rin agad ng work.

@auyeah We're currently staying at our friend's place sa West Ryde. Maghanap na lang ng place to stay once may work na para makapili rin ng area na malapit sa makukuha na work.

mas ok magdirect ka na lang from NAIA to sydney 8 hours flight time lang.

@alfonso31 hello po.. ano po ang requirements na binigay nyo sa medicare nu nag enroll kayi? Pareho kasi tayo ng case.. 2017 din ako nag IE, tapos BM ngayon 2019 lang. Tapos mag enroll kami ng medicare pagdating namin.. thank you. Magkabatch yata tayo sir

@Ozlaz hello nag print lng ako ng form ng medicare tapos yun ang dinala ko kasama ng passport at visa grant letter ko. May nabasa ako pwede dw sa computer ng centrelink mag fill up ng form. Mas maganda pag nag punta ka dun mat acct ka na sa mygov pra bigyan ka na lng nla ng link pra masync mo centrelink at medicare mo sa acct mo sa mygov.

@Ozlaz complete nyo na yung form for medicare and print nyo na and indicate yung date of arrival nyo and date you intend to visit. agahan nyo ang punta para siguradong matapos kayo within the day for both medicare and centrelink. Ok lang din naman na dun kayo mag fill out ng form sa computer (sa branch na may assisted service) - at may printer na din sila doon. If ayaw nyo naman magtagal doon, fill out na yun form and print saka dalhin.
1 form ok sya for primary applicant + up to 3-4 person yata (spouse, children)
goodluck sa BM kapatid. Malamig ngayon doon. magdala ng panlamig at katinko hahahaha!

Sino po dito nagbig move na ang airline is cebu pac galing sa PH? Ask ko lang if strict ba tlaga sila sa pagimplement ng policy nila ngaun na hand carry? About sa exact sukat? If 2 lang ba tlaga dapat at hindi ba pwede na halos 3 ang hand carry? 1 bag na 7 kilos, 1 laptop bag and 1 handbag sana..

“Your hand-carry must not exceed 7 kgs and must be around 56cm x 36cm x 23cm in size. These are usually wheeled bags and backpacks that fit in the overhead bins.

While the small item must be around the size of 35cm x 20cm x 20cm. These are commonly your handbags, purses, and laptop bags that fit under your seat.”

quick update lang for future reference: nagrequest ako sa kanila tapos tinanong nila kung saan daw ililipat na branch. nagreply naman na sila na okay na daw. roughly same time as nung initial creation ng account.

nung nagBM ako, ndi naman sila nagcheck ng weight nor dimensions ng hand carry ko..but i suggest na sundin mo pa din yung parameters na binigay nila para less hassle sayo sa araw ng flight mo. ;D
