Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa - 65 pts below

PetitaPetita Laguna, PhilippinesPosts: 9Member
Need help. My husband is going to apply for the skilled nominated visa 190. My husband will be turning 39 years old in June 2019. I’ve read that it usually takes a year to wait for Visa Approval if the total points is only 65 or pasang awa. Mag-start palang kami with everything (PTE, skills assessment) this May. Baka EOI will happen in July or August na, and invite est Q4 or Q1 2020. He’ll be 40 next June, and 10 points will be deducted from his 65 points if they review our visa application too late. We won’t make it if that’s the case. We’ll be paying 300k for the Visa Application of my hushand + 3 dependents. Is this worth a shot? :(

@Petita @Mariep Points are locked at the time you receive your ITA. So maski bumaba yung points nyo while waiting for your visa grant, wala nang effect yun.

Makikita mo sa Skillselect yung figures for 189. Yung para naman sa 190 and 489 medyo backread ka lang dito sa forum dun sa monthly threads and yung state-specific threads. Para matantya mo kung aling occupation ang may mas mataas ang chance mainvite. Very competitive ngayon so mas mataas ang points, mas malaki ang chance mainvite. Good luck sa application mo.

This is risky, unang una yung 65 is the minimum points na tinatanggap. Added risk is your husband will lose points next year. if yung sinasabi mong 65 points is with SS na, kahit taasan mo yung PTE, which will give you 5 additional points..... it will only give you 60 points once nag 40 na siya. VETASSESS and PTE processing times vary. It's a risk... lalo na mag babayad kau upfront ng 300k. If you really want to try... mag DIY kayo.. in that way you won't lose the 300k.... Or another option is you will be the primary applicant.
