Has anyone seen the statistics on this Citizenship processing times webpage?
The average waiting month has increased from 19 to 21 months for 90% of the applications. This isn't looking good at all.

@IslanderndCity From my observation, hindi siya mas mabilis. May instances na mas matagal pa pag paper application. Isa pang disadvantage is hindi mo makikita yung progress ng application.

Someone in Adelaide took the "paper option". 9 months leadtime from application submission to receiving invite for exam. Then + 2.5 months naka-oathtaking na. So total less than 1 year. Single (dalaga) siya

We cannot really conclude the pattern how applications are assessed, online or paper-based. There are 2017 applications still waiting for test invites while some 2019 applications were processed ahead. As stated in the acknowledgement email, applications are assessed as per individual circumstances. In my case, I only waited 3 months for the test invite and took the test a week later. Approval took 5 mins after the test. I have to wait 7 weeks for the ceremony ( our council administer citz ceremony every 2 months). Many have to wait many months after the test for the approval.

    Sa Singapore pinanganak, mejo nalito kasi ako sa eligibility sa website;

    Meet the general residence requirement
At the time you apply you must have been:

living in Australia on a valid visa for the past 4 years
a permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen for the past 12 months
away from Australia for no more than 12 months in total in the past 4 years, including no more than 90 days in total in the past 12 months
For children 16 or 17 years old, if meeting this requirement would cause significant hardship or disadvantage, you will need to provide proof.

Children under 16 do not need to meet the general residence requirement but must be permanent residents.

    Case1:

Permanent Residence Date Feb 28, 2015 based on Initial Entry date.
Lawful Residence Date Feb 28, 2015 also (see below SOURCE for details why)
Lodgement Date July 9, 2019 which is 4 years & 4 months after IED

    Periods outside of Oz:
    Mar 8, 2015 to Feb 9, 2016 = 11 months
    Jun 8, 2016 to Jun 12, 2016 = 4 days
    Jun 19, 2016 to Jul 4, 2016 = 15 days

Kahit 3 years & 5 months lang na nakatira sa Oz from Feb 9, 2016 to July 9, 2019, ang result ng eligibility to apply for citizenship is YES.

Anyone sa inyo ganito din ba?

Hi guys, for pinoys, the average processing time from application to approval to citizenship ceremony is between 3 months to 1 year. Don't compare it with other nationalities bcoz of the so called "individual circumstances". Usually we pinoys are not subject to "external check" unlike pakistans and from other muslim countries that take more than 2 yrs for background checks.

    skilled migrant now Aussie.
Registered ACS Certified Professional (MACS CP) since 2012
