The Occupational English Test (OET) is a language test for health practitioners who have qualified to practise in one country and wish to gain provisional registration to practise their profession in another which has an English-speaking context.

IELTS, or International English Language Testing System,is an international standardised test of English language proficiency. It is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, the British Council and IDP Education Pty Ltd.

IELTS - need to get 7.0 or higher in all subtest (listening, reading, writing, speaking)
OET - need to get B or higher

    Hi @Rommel1982,

Tanong naman. Di ba full nursing program yung current study mo ngayon?

    Thanks

    Source:
    http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/Registration-Standards.aspx

An applicant for registration as a registered nurse and/or a registered midwife who has provided evidenceof completion of five (5) years*(full-time equivalent)of education taught and assessed in English, in any of the recognised countries listed in this registration
    standard, is considered to have demonstrated English language proficiency and has met the requirements of this standard;

*The completion of five (5) years (full-time equivalent) education taught and assessed in English means five (5) years full-time equivalent of either:
    i). tertiary and secondary; or
    ii). tertiary and vocational; or
iii). combined tertiary, secondary and vocational education

@yukishih hi. I just want to ask, im taking oet soon, ok ba talaga un oet compared to ielts? I find ielts difficult kasi. Do you need a review center to pass oet? or self review would be sufficient to pass the exam? Thanks.

PTE is the most lenient I would say. I was about to take OET but when I saw PTE I'd gave it a shot since the result is faster and the scheduling of exam is a bit faster as well. Unlike for OET and IELTS you have to wait for a month to sched and to wait for result. But if your going to compare the level of difficulty between OET and IELTS. I would say OET is easier but if your going to ask me if I were to choose between the two. I would say none of them LOL. Goodluck on your exams

Hello, I have been contemplating whether I should take OET or PTE, I've looked into it and I think if your trying to take up the bridging course, OET is a better choice. Just my opinion. I've tried IELTS 3x and I always get a 6 on writing. Anyhow, can anyone recommend a good online course for OET?
