Possible daw na si tourist visa case officer went to the partner visa CO in charge and asked about the pending visa app. Unsure pero 1 daw yun sa reason ng grant, pero anuman nangyari dun just so grateful for the timing.

To God be the glory 😍

@engr_boy @Basiao @kindred thanks so much po. 😊My bad, dapat sa student visa pala ako nagpost. 😊 Pero lubusin ko napo, if ever po nagmeet kami sa work sa qatar, naging room mates po, paano po yung evidences? Same accomodation paid by the company po yun. We dont have joint account yet. We did not travel together yet kc sa qatar po kami nagmeet na and ngwork. Ngayon po andito nako sa sydney to study, staying ako with my family, PR napo sila.
May chance po kaya na makuha ko sya while on SV if ganun po naging history namin? Thanks so much po.

If you can start making arrangements, like joint bank account, joint bills (Telephone/mobile), joint social activities and local travels (sa Qatar or bisitahin ka niya sa Sydney), at continuous communication (email/chat) pwede niyo magamit later on kung mag apply siya ng SV dependent or kung mag PR visa na kayo.

Finally! I can say this na talaga. My 309 is approved and granted. After 16 months of waiting..

God's timing is the best! Hubby is coming here tomorrow to celebrate our 5th year anniversary and I got the visa grant just 30 minutes ago. He asked me what I want from AU, sabi ko.."Dont bring anything, just a one way ticket, our visa is already approved" sabay tawa. And hubby cried and laughed at the same time. We will be celebrating our anniversary with a grateful heart.

This forum serves as a window of hope sa lahat ng applicants.

Hi! Just hoping that someone could shed a light

My partner and I are planning to lodge an onshore partner visa (subclass 820, I believe). We’ve been together in a relationship since September 2018, but haven’t moved in together due to cultural/religious reasons (my family is VERY strict, does not believe in living in before marriage) but they totally support our relationship. But we’re literally always together in his house or in our house, we’re always with our families. An agent suggested that it’s okay to not live together but I have to change my address to my partner’s address as long as there are days that I’ll be actually living in my partner’s house (he lives with his parents and I live with my relatives who financed my studying here by the way). So let’s say, I'll spend the weekends at his house and I'll be over my place with my relatives for a week. We live 15 minutes apart.

    1. I was just wondering if this is a smart idea or do we actually have to live together permanently? Cause we don’t want to get married just yet, we’re planning to get married in 3-4 years' time (when we both get full-time jobs). But we can’t live in together due to my family’s culture/religion.

But we have all sorts of evidence that our relationship is genuine, including joint bank account, socials, and pictures, it’s just the living part is kind of tricky.

And 2nd question, do I actually need a migrant agent or can I DIY (based on my case)? I’m currently on a student visa.

    Thanks heaps!

@abbygailmbn I was in a similar situation as you. My partner and I never lived together for most of the duration of our relationship because her parents were very traditional. I explained this in my letter to the case officer and they acknowledged it.
Just state that your parents are "religious" and value the union of husband and wife and that you respect their wish of not living with your partner outside of marriage. Statutory declarations from both your parents will back this up

You can try to go for a free consultation with an agent. But they might convince you to use their services.

    Hi Everyone!

    Good day!

    I'm new in this forum.

I've lodged my 309 application last year August 2018. It's still on Received status now.

Been reading all granted visas and most of them are married couples.

Just want to ask who among here are in a relationship / de facto (but not married) and what's the status of your application?

    Thank you! :)
