hello, hingi lang sana ako ng tips sa RA. laging low scores nkukuha ko sa fluency at pronunciation. Actually, binigyan na ko ng tips ni @Admin (thanks!) Gusto ko lang malaman don sa mga nkapag exam na, the louder the better ba ang fluency? Thanks sa mga sasagot.

For RA, read the passage in moderate pacing and avoid long pauses. In case you missed some words just continue reading. To improve fluency, use templates for DI and RL. Fluency is affected if you stutter/pause/stop.

Thanks @ahyen ! been practicing, pero wala tlga, may nagsabi lakasan ko dw boses ko which I tried, tumaas nman score ko. ang concern ko lng bka hindi pwede ang malakas ang boses sa exam.

@monicuuute Did you try adjusting your mic during the exam? I think d nacacapture maigi ung words mo. Try mo rin mag malaconio magsalita. tipong pang mayaman na bigkas nga mga salita. tsaka iwasan mo magbasa ng mabagal . wag rin sobrang bilis.

sa RA naman need mo mag basa na parang reporter. wag monotonous, may up and down dapat ng pag basa. alam mo dapat kung kelan tataas ung voice and kelan mababa.

wag ka mag alala at ma concious sa pag saaslita mahihit mo yan. para lang naman sa test na to after ng test, back to normal ka na . need mo lang dayain, este magpanggap na medyo may arte para masiyahan ang computer. hehehe

Hahaha oo medyo artehan mo pero wag sobrang arte kasi yan naging prob ko nung una kong exam nasobrahan sa high/low pitch hehe.

Ensure to give emphasis sa s/d/p/f/ph/th/v/b. Ako naman mahina magsalita pero nilakasan ko ng konti during exam, matetest mo naman ang mic/audio kung gano ba kalakas boses mo sa recording.

hello @monicuuute sa part ko, saktong lakas lang at parang story telling yung way ng pagbasa with hand movements pa hehe para lang maenjoy ko yung RA. sabi kasi nila dapat dito ka magstart na high energy para maboost mo yung confidence mo mo sa mga susunod pang items. nagtry din ako ng mga mouth exercises sa YT kasi in general di naman ako clear magsalita din tipid ako magbuka ng bibig hehe.

ginawa ko din magbasa with speech recognition apps pati kay siri, para lang din macheck ko if nacacapture ng tama yung words. naalala ko di nakukuha ng tama yung "while" sakin eh kaya ginawa kong "whereas" sa ibang speaking items pero pag may while sa RA sobrang pinopronounce ko nalang. try mo magpractice ng RA na may kasabay na speech recognition app.

Update Update!! Remember my previous post regarding my mock exam score? So I took another mock exam here's the result.

Notice the Enabling Skills went higher. Improved my WD from 53 to 79 and almost all got 90 (except spelling and wd). But the problem is, my communicative scores got lower. How is that? I was expecting to get higher scores because my enabling scores went higher. Logically, it should increase right? But in this case, it went lower.

I'm really confused now.

Any thoughts on which section I need to focus on? Or what went wrong base on the given scenario.

sir @jaznimbo mas ok po ba yung pagsagot nyo sa WFD from previous kesa sa recent? kasi both po bumaba si listening and writing, usually po kasi ang pinakamalaking source ng combination ng listening and writing, si WFD. pati po repeat sentence. sa reading, mahina din ako dun sir, baka sa mga items ka po nadali ng reading like RO, FIB and MCMA na right minus wrong.

oo nga strange ung computation. 79 naman ung WD pero 71 parin ung writing strange. kung maoobserve mo 79 pinaka lowest. pwede kaya ma ask sa PTE yan scoring na yan? baka may explanation sila.

Yung Essay Writing po ba, is it always an argumentative essay where you will choose one side? Eto kasi ang sabi ni Jay ng E2 language. Pero yung mga nakikita kong sample questions ng Essay, one side lang yung given and you will give your opinion...

Any thoughts dun sa mga nakapagtake na ng Exam?

Eto rin ang inaaral ko ngayon. anung klaseng template ang pwede mag cover mostly lahat ng type ng essay. so far nakikita ko pa lang na template isa pang opinion for 2 Sides.

not always argumentative, pero ito ang pinaka common so just to be on the safe side, aralin din ang ibang klase ng essay and on how to present if. May iba ibang template yan. Sa opinion ko just practice lang sa mga topics and mga maari mong maisama sa content ng essay mo, kasi presenting it will be easier kesa sa pag iisip ng content sa isang subject na very little ang knowledge natin.

@ahyen but if you will look closely, all the enabling skills went up. On a technical perspective, the overall score should increase, right? But in this case, it went from 86 to 77 despite the increase in the enabling skills. Still can't get the algorithm for this

Yes very strange tong scoring na to. The least score is 79 yet you still got R70 and W71. Maybe you can ask the PTE support.
