Fortunately, umuusad na ang 189 grants. Antay antay at dasal lang. Hehe!

80 points ako nainvite last July 11 this year.

Naglodge ata ako ar 75 around March. Then nung lumabas ang NAATI CCL result ko, I updated my EOI at 80 pts April 29.

So almost 4 rounds of invitation ako naghintay. Worth it naman!

Hi there analyst programmer din si hubby. Lodged visa 189 last May 8, 75 points. Mga 7 months na rin kaming naghihintay. Ok lang di naman nagmamadali hehe

65pts ako when i lodged on Feb 2019 then i updated last Nov 22, 2019 to include my PTE score. Total of 80pts na ako now, praying and hoping to get invited 🙏🏻

anong month kayo na-invite sis?

Hello Guys.. not sure if I can ask from this thread or someone can shed light on my case.
my cousin is confused as to which skill he has to choose.
ATM, he has shortlisted Developer Programmer or Software Engineer.

with your experience, is there a thing as more in demand? between these two?
I even think he's also qualified as an analyst programmer.

Technical IT is always in demand but the competition is quite high.

Overlapping din ang job duties nila sometimes. Depende talaga sa company.

I work along with Aussie developers (iOS and Android) but they call themselves software engineers kaya minsan nalilito din ako.

@superluckyclover thanks sa reply. diba DIY ka? anyway, oo nga overlapping. nakaka lito.
wala namang tracker in terms of skill noh? kung saan mas maka kuha ng invite na mabilis?
if so, I will just tell my cousin to chose the skill which he feels comfortable with...

Yes. DIY lang. Not sure if may tracker in terms of skill unless special skill talaga sya like specific research fields or exceptional talents.

Pillin mo lang kung ano yung mas swak sa work experience. Kung ano yung mga work description na nakalagay sa bawat Employment certificate na pina assess sa ACS against sa description ng Programmer Developer or Software Engineer.

Once ma grant naman na visa niya wala na bearing yan pag nag apply na sa mga companies dito. For me I chose Developer programmer.

Siguro kung tingin niyo eh pareho naman swak yung description eh icheck niyo sa website kung ano yung may mas mataas na quota na skills or kung ano na yung may madami na nagrant at yung madami pang slot. Piliin niyo yung madami pang slot para mas mataas ang chance na ma invite.

Di ko mahanap yung exact url pero sa DIBP lang din yun eh. Nabago na kasi itchura ng website ngaun compared nung time na nasa application stage palang ako.

Hi! Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I think my question fits the topic.

May tanong po ako tungkol sa pagpipili ng ANZSCO code. I work as a Web Developer so naturally yung matching profession ko would be Web Developer. However yung responsibilities ko, sa tingin ko naman pareho sa responsibilities ng Analyst Programmer and Developer Programmer. Since wala sa MLTSSL yung Web Developer, ideally isa sa dalawa yung pipiliin ko.

Nalilito lang ako kasi web-focused yung responsibilities ko instead of application/system focused. May possibility bang pumasa yung assessment kapag Analyst or Developer Programmer ang pinili kong ANZSCO code?

Hi @eliton! ACS will mainly focus on your duties and responsibilities rather than the job title. I was a Web Developer as well (but more focused on the backend). I made sure that the duties and responsibilities that were reflected in my COEs are closely similar to that of the criteria for Developer Programmer. Hope this helps.

@eliton I was assessed with programmer/analyst initially, 2017, and I lodged my 189 EOI last June 2018 with 70 pts turned 75 last May 2019, but I am still not invited up until today. But when I was reassessed for Web Developer last August 2019, I lodged my 190 NSW EOI with 85 pts last September 2019 and got the invitation within 3 weeks.

It would not hurt to be assessed multiple times, costs more, but more chances for you to be invited.;)

@frisch24 I see! I did notice a that you had 75 pts with your 189, and 85 pts with your 190. Were the 10 extra points in your 190 given by a combination of a sponsorship by NSW and 5 more points as Web Developer experience?

@eliton yes, may extra 5 pts ako from my work experience. yung work ko kasi na technical support sa website hosting and development companya na almost 2 years was not considered nung assessment for programmer analyst pero kinonsider cya pra sa Web Development.

@frisch24 ah ok thanks, pwede pala yun. Kasi i was assessed na as developer/programmer at 85 points for 189 pero things are not looking good currently. So im considering na mag pa assess as web dev for nsw 190 since wala sya additional requirement na 1 yr residency for offshore applicants. Pero may questions po ko regarding that if you dont mind.

Kung mag pa re assess ulit same docs ba gamit mo? Or nag update ka rin ba ng roles and responsibilities sa Coe para mag match sa web dev?
Once ma grant ka sa NSW, dapat ba web dev jobs din work mo or pwede realated lng?
Ok ba web dev jobs dyan sa NSW?

@section3kid hnd ko na pinalitan yung docs ko since same account naman. I am not sure though kung pede palitan. nagulat nga ako na kinonsider nya yung dati at current kong work. pero yung programs kasi na hinahawakan ko is business side na kumukuha ng data sa internet, kaya siguro part na rin cya ng web development. ano ba yung work experience mo? kasi kung let's say sharepoint developer ka, developer programmer ka pero pede rin web developer kasi ginagamit pa rin yung program mo online.

lam ko pde closely related na work. not necessarily same title.

actually, nasa Melbourne ako ngayon. Lilipat ako ng NSW pagkagrant ng visa. pero chineck ko s Seek, marami ngang naghahanap ng web developer sa NSW.

@frisch24 mostly po sa mga projects ko are web applications. Like yung mga e-commerce sites at corporate websites. May experience din ako sa wordpress at iba pang content management systems. Ang concern ko lang kasi if yung same coe's ang gagamitin ko eh baka ma negative yung result ko.
