First step is you need to get your qualifications assessed by CA ANZ. Punta ka lang sa site nila and all the requirements are there.

You might need to take some bridging subjects (CA Foundation course) esp Tax and Commercial Law.

After that you need to pass 5 CA program subjects.

Apart from the above academic requirements, you also need to meet their practical requirement to qualify for full CA membership. Sa pagkakaalam ko 3 years of full time or part time worked in an approved or recognized employer which is normally auditing firms.

Goodluck, medyo madugo yung process pero worth it in the end.

Wala sigurong definite answer which one is ok, really depend on one's circumstances.

When it comes to applying for a job, madalas naman hinahanap either CA or CPA. All things being equal, if the hiring manager is a CPA baka paboran nya yung CPA, similar if the hiring manager is a CA.

The only advantage nung CA is that is the preferred qualification if you work in an auditing firm. Sagot nila yung CA related expenses mo.

That being said, a lot of my clients in Finance Department have a CPA qualification.

When it comes to studies, mas matagal bubunuin mo sa CA compared to CPA. That is why CPA is the more logical path to take if you have a family.

Hi guys.. finally decided to take the CA program. Im in the process of getting my qualifications assessed. Is it safe to say that all my subjects will be accredited except for tax and commercial law. I took my degree almost 10 years ago, so Im worried that they may require me to take more foundation courses. May I ask what institution kayo nag take ng foundation course?

Assessment is around 300 to 400 yata.

Cost per module is around 1200 aud. 5 modules yun.

Tpos since Ph grad need mo bridging course for tax and law. Nasa 1200 each din yun. So total 7 modules 5 + 2 x 1200 aud.

Some companies paid those fees as benefits for their employees.

Another question po: Do you need to have accounting-related experience in the PH (ex. from a CPA firm) to enter the program?

I'll have my first job po kasi here sa PH but it might not be in a CPA firm and it's not even accounting-related. Salamat po!
