hi, @LovellaEllen. I can see that your post has received a number of views already. Perhaps people are reluctant to reply as either they have not experienced this, or are cautious in sharing information, which is understandable.

I am replying to this query kasi yan nangyari sa akin when I lodged my 491 visa on June 3, 2020. I had a tourist visa before and just like you, pati middle name isinali ko. For some reason, nung naglodged ako ng 491, ung last at first names ko lang inilagay ko. My argument is pretty simple: middle name can't be 'given' as it is 'inherited'. Given name, as the name suggests, is given to you and this is unique lalo at nakaattach ito sa passport number ng individual.

I am calling DHA tomorrow to ask what needs to be done moving forward. I reckon wala namang kaso, pero mas ok na makasigurado at baka maharang pa tayo sa airport hahaha. Initial assessment pa lang naman ang status ng sa akin, so I probably can just update the information.

May cases na wala namang naging problema kahit walang middle name (com/visas-immigration/287929-forgot-my-middle-name-3.html).

Middle name is not common in Australia..for us you can include it in your given name (... ie Juan MiddleName) just like what I did then your last name. ..if you dont like to include amd decided to include on your citizenship application, theres wouldnt be a problem.

In my case wala..kahit nakalimutan mo don sa earlier app mo, pwede mo baguhin sa other applications..makikita naman sa supporting docs mo...Australians with middle names are not standards like us na mothers maiden name..kahit ano lang gustuhin nila

@LovellaEllen, i'm currently based in Singapore. ung number sa dha website is for those who are in Europe, Americas, South Korea, and Japan. nag-email ako sa VFS Global, un ang directive nila. unfortunately, sarado pa ang office dito sa SG due to covid-19. auto-response nareceived ko. inaabangan ko ung re-opening, sana before the end of this month.

@rellim115 I'm actually seeking info for a friend (onshore) na mag-lolodge ng 491 this week who included his middle name since his tourist and 482 VISA.. Sa case ko naman (482, 190), I never Included my middle name tapos wala namang naging problema..
Anyways, I advised him NOT to include nlang yung middle name para iwas confusion.. Godbless sa application mo :)

Do I need to submit separate EOI to state's website apart from skill select EOI? Or only selected states? TIA. Stay safe.

Do I need to submit separate EOI to state's website apart from skill select EOI? Or only selected states? TIA. Stay safe.

Which state you are applying to? Some states will look at EOIs submitted on skill select who to invite to apply for state sponsorship. Others like SA, you need to directly apply State Sponsorshipsa state without an invitation to apply foe sponsorship.

Don't get confused. EOI is normally used to refer to EOI submitted to DHA.
For state sponsorship, you are required to submit a state sponsorship application to that particular state you were seeking sponsorship from. Once your SS is accepted, you will receive an invitation to lodge your visa (190/491) to DHA. Hope this helps.
