im wondering if merong hindi nag English proficiency test dito at kumuha na lang ng certification sa school na english and medium na gamit?

Only allowed by some* universities and definitely not ever for a PR visa. Even native English speakers are required to take English proficiency, so what makes you think a certification form school is acceptable?

*These universities I'm referring to are usually from Europe and not from English speaking countries.
*The waiver is also granted for graduates from universities in other English Speaking countries.

Last 2 statements are for university application only and may not be automatically applicable for the student visa.

Though di pede direct PR application sa UK. Even with their points-based system next year. Required pa rin na may sponsor ka, ie. employer. That's according to this:

Hello po! Hope everyone’s safe and well. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng help and guidance. Share ko lang po experience ko and some tips po sa PTE.

    Review materials na ginamit ko:
    • E2Language Youtube para po sa PTE background and tips
    • SonnyEnglish Youtube para po sa tips and tricks sa Describe Image
    • APEUni para sa practice for all
    • Carreercoves Youtube for Repeat Sentence
    • PTE.Tools for Read Aloud

    Speaking:
    1. Read Aloud – wag po masyado bilisan ang pag-basa. Maganda po gamitin ang 25s para ifamiliarize and ipractice ipronounce lalo yung mga unfamiliar words. If may mali nasabi, tuloy tuloy parin po sa pag-basa at wag ipahalata na may mali. Yung PTE.Tools meron po siya function na nadedetermine nya anong words ang napronounce kaya ok po siya for practice.
    2. Repeat Sentence – practice is the key po ditto. Mapapansin nyo nalang po na habang tumatagal mas mahaba po ang set of words na kaya sabihin.
    3. Describe Image & Retell lecture – ginamit ko po ang binigay din po at nishare ditto tapos inupdate ko lang po ng unti.

    Introduction:
    For all graphs:
The line/bar/pie/picto graph/map/diagram/image shows the (tell the subject)
From an overall perspective, it can be seen that there are significant aspects on this (map/graph/image/diagram)

    Bar/Pie/Line/Pictograph
The ____ accounts for the highest number/total/percentage at ____, followed by ____, which accounts for the second highest number/total/percentage. In contrast, ___ accounts for the lowest number/total/percentage at only _____.

    Map:
In the northern part of the map, ____ can be seen, whereas in the eastern part of the map, x can be seen/x can be located near the ____. In contrast, in the southern and western parts of the map, x can be located near.

    Diagram:
The first step of the process is ____, followed by _____. The next step of the process is ____. Finally, the last step is _____.

    Image:
At the top/left side/right side of the image, ___ can be seen/found. In the middle, ___ can be seen. In contrast, at the bottom, x can be seen.

    Summary:
Overall, the information is clear and concise and it can be used as reference for further studies of the same learning objective.

    Filler:
The image/graph/diagram is useful as it provides accurate information. It was also presented by students of Sydney University in their research.

    Re-tell Lecture:
    Introduction:
The speaker provided a brief information about ____
He utilized a specific amount of time in discussing the topic.

    Firstly, he mentioned that ____
In addition, he discussed that ___
    Finally, he highlighted that _____

    Summary:
Overall, the lecture is clear and concise and it can be used as reference for further studies of the same learning objective.

    Filler:
The image/graph/diagram is useful as it provides accurate information. It was also presented by students of Sydney University in their research.

    Writing:
    1. Summarize Written text – compound complex po ang ni-practice ko na gawin using semi-colon (; ). Before po ako magre-word, minemake sure ko muna na constructed na yung sentence.
Connectors: FANBOYS (for, and nor, but, yet, so) to make the sentence compound
Conjunctions (not sure if tama po an tawag): FMTOH(furthermore, moreover, therefore, otherwise, hence, however, etc) to make the sentence complex

Ex: The boy, who is in senior highschool, studied every after school hours, and because of this, he won the competition; therefore, the school principal awarded him with a scholarship for next year.

    1. Essay – try to include ng mga examples sa essay to back-up yung argument kahit po hindi totoo yung example (For example, the research shows that __________ ).
Paragraph 1 – Introduction (agree or disagree, etc)
      Paragraph 2 – Argument 1 with example
      Paragraph 3 – Argument 2 with example
      Paragraph 4 – Conclusion

    Reading:
    1. Re-order paragraph – maganda po ang video ni E2language po po sa technique
    2. Reading Fill-in the blanks – try po to determine ano ang dapat nasa blank, if verb, noun, adjective, adverb. This will help trim down ang choices. Pag hindi sure, trinatry ko sabihin yung sentence using yung natirang options
    3. Read and Writing Fill-in the blanks - same po sa RFIB. Nakatulong din po na familiar sa collocation.

    Listening:
    1. Summarize Spoken text – ginamit ko po ang template sa Re-tell lecture.
    2. Write from dictation – practice is the key din po dito. If may hindi sure lalo na sa tense ng verb, basahin po yung sentence/phrase na naitype, makakahelp po ito to determine ano ang namiss na verb or word.

Sana po makahelp. :) Godbless po!

Question po sa mga nakapag take na..

Sa describe image, do I have to click next agad after I am done speaking or I can wait for the next image to pop out in the screen?

For example, im done talking in 35secs. I plan to use the remianing 5secs to calm my nerves.. hahahha!

Weakness ko ang DI and RL.. =(

    Maraming salamat po sa sasagot.

Yes. For speaking part generally, it's recommended that you click next once you're done per item to avoid recording silent parts or background noises.

For DI and RL, just be spontaneous (with the help of templates), you don't need to be accurate about the content.

Hi Guys! I just want to share my experience.

I started my review last May using the following platforms:

PTE ACADEMIC thread on pinoyau (where it all started)
Sonny English on Youtube (every day)
E2 Language free webinars via Zoom (every week)
PTE Practice on APEUni (everyday) - nag avail ako ng 30 days VIP for unli scores

I took my exam here sa Pearson Trident Makati last June 29. I received my score report last July 2.

    Overall: 90

    Listening: 90
    Speaking: 90
    Reading: 82
    Writing: 90

    Grammar: 90
    Oral Fluency: 90
    Pronunciation: 90
    Spelling: 87
    Vocabulary: 90
    Written Discourse: 89

    Tips:
    1. I used a disposable surgical mask para mas maluwag sa speaking part.
    2. Repeat sentence pinakamahirap and sure ako 3 items dun hindi ko natapos/hinulaan ko and mali ung dulo pero naka 90 pa rin.
    3. Okay lang magkamali!!!
    4. Sonny English is a big help!!!
    5. Allotted time is enough as long as you don't waste it. May 5min remaining pa nung natapos ko ung WFD (Listening).
    6. Maririnig mo yung ibang test takers, so focus lang talaga sa screen mo. May times na dinidiin ko ung headphones sa ears ko para mas rinig ko yung speakers sa test lalo na sa listening.
    7. Nilapit ko ung mouthpiece sa mouth ko (but not touching the mask) since nung nag mic test is mahina sya for me.
    8. Eat breakfast before going to the test site. 2 hours lang naman sya so hindi ka gugutumin.
    9. Hindi ako nag break. Tinuloy tuloy ko nalang sya. Ayoko mawala yung momentum.

I just want to thank everyone who shared their experiences and tips dito sa thread. Good luck to all future takers!

also mukang sa formatting and possibly word count lang ang issue nito since perfect siya sa spelling, grammar, and vocabulary.

    Hi, congratulations sa result! :)

Question lang din, one seat apart ang set-up sa Trident? Thanks.

For student visa lang? For most Pinoys you don't need a review center just to score the minimum 50 points (usual minimum of unis) for PTE, it's very doable for Pinoys otherwise you are not suited to study abroad at all kung hirap ka pa ma achieve yan. Just saying... hehe

Hi mam. Avail ko din ang apeuni. Problem ko is sa read aloud. When i speak na mabilis, mataas score ko. Pero pag natural and tama lang, mababa score ko. Reliable ba ang scoring nila? What did u do sa exam- did u speak faster (little bit)? Sa apeuni, when i followed punctuation marks, 65 or less lang grade ko. But i spoke faster, 75+ grade.

Aiming kasi ako sa superior score. I took pte but got short sa reading. Two times i got 78. read aloud has contribution din sa grade ng reading ko. (My speaking was 88 anyway.)
