Denied Tourist VIsa-Help-Lack of economic ties-unemployed

hello po..ask lang po ako if may same situation katulad ko..I received my refusal tourist visa today..My first tourist visa apication last year was approved but this time denied due to lack of economic ties.

Nun first application ko kase may work ako and ngayon naman 2nd time ko na, home based ako/ freelancer.. wala ako maipresent na contract at contact number ng employer.
Ang naipresent ko lang is my paypal transactions.

Naintindihan ko yun reason ng refusal pero gusto ko sana mag apply ulit para makapag holiday ako sa Au , at the same time mag travel..sponsored ng australian Bf ko. I just don't know Kung paano ko pa ma-prove ang economic ties ko kung wala ako physical work dito at any property

.

Medyo strict sila ngayon talaga kahit ang agent ko ayaw nila gawin ang tourist visa ko. Kasi meron din silang refusals past few months kahit na may sponsors especially bf. And nakapunta na ng Australia.

just reapply and make sure you have addressed all the reasons for refusal and add more supporting documents otherwise more likely refused again

Are you voluntarily paying taxes? That would often resolve this as "self employed", if not, tough luck.

BUT, why are you applying now? There's a very slim chance for tourist visas to be processed or approved at the moment.

Thanks for the quick reply @Kaidan No we haven't voluntarily paid taxes :(

Yes we are aware but at the same time hoping that immigration might be more lenient because the government may need economic help from tourists and such...

Literally the DHA is not processing tourist visas right now unless you fall under their "exception" which is explained in their website:

    https://covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/travel-restrictions-0

There is no hoping about leniency here. First of all, don't you think it would raise alarm on your intention why are you traveling for tourism at this moment? PH tourist visa applicants are heavily scrutinized during normal times, ano pa kaya ngayon?

Those who received negative assessment result, I guess it's not a good idea to apply for REVIEW as it would bring negative impact on your application. Review means you are trying to contest case officer's decision. Better to apply another ANZCO code and submit updated/tailored job duties and responsibilities. You can apply many times so long you have strong evidence to support your claims.

Just my two cents (I am no immigration agent). I do wonder how you got the idea that immigration will be any more lenient now than pre-pandemic times. Yes, Australia's tourism and education sectors have suffered a big decrease in income, but it will not necessarily translate to "needing" tourists, and therefore be less strict when it comes to giving out tourist visas. Your freelance work may be legit, but without tax documents and your freelance work not requiring you to be in the home country, your lack of proof to show that you are physically required to return to Philippines is often a red flag to any country's immigration department.

If you do intend to reapply, maybe consider shortening your intended stay to a more reasonable amount (maybe 2-3 weeks)? At the moment, Australia's not letting non-citizens and non-PR in the country, so you have some time to rethink your approach and gather more papers/documents for your next application.
