Job Opportunities for Graduate Student Visa Holders

Hi guys. Ask ko lang po if mataas employment rate or higher chance na mahire ka kung dumaan ka sa study program ng Australia, specifically, masters in civil engineering.

Mas madali po kayang makakuha ng work na in line sa tinapos?

Marami pa ring struggling to get job after graduation. Mapa masters man or PHD kasi yung culture fit and of course experience pa rin ang nangingibabaw. Makaka help pa rin sa paghahanap ng work ang networking and the ability to sell yourself during interview. Good luck!

During this pandemic, I'd say it is a bit difficult to find work, especially if you don't have local/Australian experience. Studying in Australia can help you be up-to-date with the basic knowledge and skills to work in your specific field, but having work experience and a good network appears to be more important. Also, companies look at your work rights (meaning whether you can work full time or not for them), so the opportunities for work shrink by a lot. :(

    whats your visa? PR? student?

overall, it can help, but a bit challenging if wala ka local experience.

if PR ka, posible siguro na while doing masters degree, look for part time jobs related to your study/occupation or do internship or graduate programs.

sorry i realized nasa subject pala na student visa ka.

as far as i know, you may be eligible for graduate visa after ng masters mo and be able to stay longer here,
same advise, look for related part time job s study/occupation mo during study, it will serve as a local experience and it can help you land a job after grad. it can be challenging but its possible.
