Up po. Anyone here who took NAATI last March 15?

Sir John, other than you, I know 12 people who took the exam last March 15.

Thanks for the response @MumVeng . Appreciate it :)
Reading this thread, I noticed that the exam results were released in 1 or 2 weeks after the exam. Medyo napatagal yata ngayon, maybe because madami kami. Kinakabahan po ako. Naka 3 repeats ako per dialogue. HAha

Three repeats should still be ok basta po nabawi ninyo on the 2nd try. This is the biggest batch in 1 day I've encounter so far kaya po expect that it will take longer than 2 weeks. I'm just surprised that NAATI made these improvements on the way the exam is facilitated but the checking process by examiners is taking longer than last year.

You have to check the CCL Exam po.

Ang process po ay magsusubmit kayo ng application to take the exam and then, NAATI will send you a confirmation that you can take an exam and give you an invoice. Once paid, you can already book an exam. Iyan po ang process nung nag-exam ako so if this changed, please reply to this comment.

I hope the March 15 batch can share their experience of the new format of the exam.

    Hello,

    March 15 taker here.
Same process pa din @MumVeng. Magsusubmit ng application including passport and a selfie. Then magwait na maapprove yung application mo. Nung sa akin, hindi naapprove dahil di daw malinaw yung selfie so I took another one and then naapprove naman na afterwards.

Prior to exam: may isesend na link sa registered email to setup your device. Making sure that video, speaker and microphone are all working prior to the day of the exam, we were also required to download a certain application from our smartphone named "ProctorExam". Included siya sa setup.
Then another link is sent to the email for the exam itself. If you click the click, it will redirect you to a certain page and if di pa start ng exam mo, it will show a countdown timer informing you how many more days/ hours/ minutes/ seconds before your exam commence.

Exam proper: Very fast setting up lang ng devices just to double check kung umaandar lahat. Then ishoshow yung passport biopage sa camera to prove your identity. Then, you will also take a picture of yourself through your camera. Afterwards, you will use your smartphone through the ProctorExam app to show your surroundings, including your desk, behind your device, the walls, ceiling, underneath your table and what is behind you. Lastly, you need to position your smartphone such that it will be able to see you while you were taking the exam. Medyo ipoposition mo siya sa likod mo or somewhere behind you. I think this is to monitor if there is any unusual behavior during the exam.

Once na nagproceed ka na sa next speaker, you won't have any access to the previous one again.

I owe God everything.

I think pag konti lang yung number of segments, mas mahahaba po. Yung usual po kasi last year ay 14 to 16 segments.

I highly recommend her CCL course. The best CCL Teacher!

    Note Taking:

    • Gumawa po ako ng Note Taking Symbols. I was inspired by this YouTube Channel – Interpretrain

Have a convenient note-taking experience like never before.

    Actual Exam Tips:

    • Before clicking the “Record” button, evaluate first the spectrogram/voiceprint. Minsan dito ka magkakaroon ng idea gaano ba ka haba yung dialogue and it would help you decide or anticipate na you might need to Repeat that specific Segment kung sakaling di mo makuha ng maayos.

For me, isa ito sa mga indicators ko to decide whether I will use 1 repeat/1 correction or not.

    • Be sure to make notes kung ano yung sinasabi sa Introduction per Dialogue. Malaking tulong po ito kasi may mga details po sa Intro na magagamit mo po as you proceed with the segments.

    • After delivering your response, huwag muna magpa dalos2x sa pag pindot ng “Stop” button. Any corrections should be prefaced by some suitable phrase (Sorry I’ll just say that part again).

    • Kung feel nyo po na hindi mo talaga nakuha yung details ng segment, you can use One Repeat per dialogue without penalty. Sinasabi po doon sa Policy na, You may repeat any segment before you begin your interpretation. Ang ginawa ko dito, pag feel ko na di ko talaga nakuha, hindi muna ako mag sasalita (baka kasi may violations), dretso na po ako dun sa Stop button, then click the “Record” button to proceed with the Repeat Segment.

    • Pero, based on my experience, parang contradicting ata sa policy yung pag ka design ng exam interface (I'm not sure though). Kasi kahit may nasabi kana na interpretation, you can still repeat the segment by clicking "Stop", then click Record to repeat the segment. Walang akong nabasa about it.

-Then, always think twice before clicking “Next”, you may realize na kelangan mo talaga ng Repeat, so pwede mo pa ring e click yung “Stop” button, then click “Record” button to proceed with the Repeat Segment.

    God Bless us all

I love your first tip for the actual exam. Yes, examining the spectro gives you an idea of how many sentences the segment will have. Great tip! As for the REPEAT lifeline, thats a loophole at the moment but I will still recommend to follow the policy (request repeat before you answer) to the next exam takers because they will surely fix this soon. I will update you guys in case there's a positive change in the repeat policy.
