Meron po ba dito mag bigmove from
PH to Melb anytime this year or next year? Anong airline po kayo nagbook?

Manila to Melbourne po ako last month via PAL. Special flight lang. A bit pricy and hard to book. Try nyo po icheck other airlines like SIN, Malaysia Airlines, or Cathay.

Then need ko daw tumawag ulit. Kelan po ba nacconfirm ang seat at pano po maging process nyo to book the flight?

    Thank you

Hello, kakalipad lang namin from PH to Melb last May 14. If you are planning to book with PAL, special flights lang ung available and you have to book over the phone.

Magabang kayo sa website ng pal for news (https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/aboutus/newsandevents/advisory-covid19-28apr21-174). Pag lumabas ung available flights nila for June, book niyo agad over the phone. Dito sa flights nila for May, meron pa May 28, try calling kung may seats pa availalble.

Lugi sa conversion. Hindi ko lang maalala kung magkano exact. If you have time na maghanap ng AUD sa mga money changer and buy from them, that's the better option.

Same po, I was put on the waitlist and then I kept on calling the reservation hotline. I think almost everyday for two weeks ako tumatawag to confirm if I got a slot for the flight. And then ang sabi sakin ay sila daw ang tatawag pag okay na ung slot ko. My original flight was MNL-SYD kaya lang po fully booked na sya nun so natawagan ako and inoffer sakin na flight is MNL-MELB instead. So I took the flight na po.

Nakakuha po kami ng flight for this august.
Thank you po!

Kami po when we arrived earlier this month, wala naman problems sa immigration.

We arrived May 2021 when our initial entry date should have been November 2020.

Supporting Australia's COVID recovery through Skilled Migration
The Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs Alex Hawke MP has today announced the inclusion of a range of skilled occupations on the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL).

The PMSOL, first announced in September 2020, is developed in conjunction with the National Skills Commission to ensure a small number of critical occupations are filled to continue to create Australian jobs and aid in Australia's ongoing recovery from the impact of COVID-19.

The addition of 22 occupations brings the PMSOL to 41 in total.

Minister Hawke said the Government engaged with small, medium and large Australian employers, business leaders, and industry bodies across the economy to determine these changes.

“Government has received valuable feedback from Australian business stakeholders on critical skill vacancies, which has been considered together with data from the National Skills Commission, in order to develop today's update to the Priority Migration Skilled Migration List," Minister Hawke said.

“The Morrison Government will continue to support Australian businesses, including through skilled migration, as the engine room of our nation's economy."

The 22 new occupations are (including ANZSCO codes):

    Accountant (General) (221111)
    Accountant (Taxation) (221113)
    Accountant (Management) (221112)
    External Auditor (221213)
    Internal Auditor (221214)
    Electrical Engineer (233311)
    Civil Engineer (233211)
    Structural Engineer (233214)
    Geotechnical Engineer (233212)
    Transport Engineer (233215)
    Mining Engineer (233611)
    Petroleum Engineer (233612)
    Surveyor (232212)
    Cartographer (232213)
    Other Spatial Scientist (232214)
    Medical Laboratory Scientist (234611)
    Orthotist / Prosthetist (251912)
    Multimedia Specialist (261211)
    Analyst Programmer (261311)
    Software and Applications Programmers (261399)
    ICT Security Specialist (262112)
    Chef (351311)
Visa holders, who have been sponsored by an Australia business in a PMSOL occupation will be subject to quarantine arrangements at their own expense.

Existing skilled migration occupation lists will remain active and visas will still be processed, but priority will be given to those in occupations on the PMSOL.

Visa holders, who have been sponsored by an Australia business in a PMSOL occupation will be subject to quarantine arrangements at their own expense.

Existing skilled migration occupation lists will remain active and visas will still be processed, but priority will be given to those in occupations on the PMSOL.

Does this mean po ba na they will start considering above priority skills in the Visa189 in the next rounds of invites?

And can we expect regions to allow opening of applications na for Visa190?

    Thanks in advance

I am not expert on this, but looks like there is hope based on their statement. We can only wait and see.

Hi @yanma13, @IamLamon, anong airlines po kayo nakapagpa-book ng flight? thanks in advance.

PAL po. Special flight siya which runs from Manila > Sydney (1hr layover tsaka bababa ung other passengers) > Melbourne.

Check here sa website nila: https://philippineairlines.com/en/aboutus/newsandevents?c=1

Just wait for the schedule ng July and beyond. Baka lumabas na soon. Tapos you have to book over the phone kasi di mo siya mabbook sa website. Good luck!
