    Hi everyone!

Hope all of you are doing well and safe during these times. I have recently lodged my EOI (offshore) last August 6, 2020, My partner and I currently have 85 points for subclass 189 and 90 points for subclass 190 (Victoria) with nominated occupation of Engineering Technologist. Because of tough competition, we are more optimistic for the subclass 190 pathway.

    Age = 30 pts (currently 32y)
    Superior english = 20 pts
Overseas skilled employment experience = 10 pts (6y 1 mo)
Education in PH only = 15 pts
    NAATI CCL = 5 pts
Partner competent English = 5 pts

However, due to the current pandemic and most recent Federal budget announcements, we are already managing our expectations that we might not have any progress at all within F.Y. 2020-2021
(or until July 2021). This is sad because I will turn 33y on September 2021 and will be losing 5 points. To prepare, we hope to boost our points in any way we can so we are exploring the partner skills.

What are our chances to have my partner's skill assessed by CPAA if he will nominate his self as general accountant 221111 with education of 4y A.B. Management Economics (Ateneo), 2y MBA (Ateneo).

    "-were under 45 years old
    -had competent English
-had nominated a skilled occupation that is on the same skilled occupation list as your nominated skilled occupation
-had a suitable skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority for their nominated skilled occupation, and the assessment wasn’t for a Subclass 485 visa."

Any clarification / insights or thoughts po from anyone who have experience acquiring assessment from CPAA would be very helpful and is greatly appreciated po. Thank you po in advance and God bless!

Hi, you need to be under the same field of work (but please double check as well). So if he is under 221111, you should be under the same code either General Accountant, Management Accountant or Taxation Accountant. Me and my husband are both CPA and still in the process of application. This is what I've researched on claiming partner points.

Hi, just curious where you got the syllabus requirement you shared? Only board exam related subjects lang need ng syllabus? Thanks

Meron ding nakalagay na Economic and statistics subjects. Napansin ko pa lang. Pero di ako nabigyan nyan. Di na nila makita s archived. haisst.

Good evening po. Question po. I have been working since 2012. For my assessment with CPA Australia, I nominated audit as my occupation of which I had 4.6 years of experience. Tama ba I can only get 5 points for my work experience? How do I include my current experience of 4 years as an accountant to be able to get higher points? Thank you po sa sasagot.

Hi. Yes i believe 5 points lang ang 3-5 yrs na overseas work experience. I think may mga member dito na they did the other way. Accountant nominated occupation, but they included audit experience. Search mo lang itong thread.

hey guys, I just want to share my journey to help a bit to anyone.

First of all, I was very anxious of my work experience I'd thought I will not pass sa skills assessment. Although I'm a CPA, but I'm not from any top university in the Philippines. My syllabus was a DIY. My university is not reliable to this kind of request, I googled (and I think I found one from UST) and searched for a sample course description of each subject na related to business and accounting from my TOR. I requested and personally sent a message to our dean to stamp and sign the syllabus and I said it was very urgent. Thankfully, they helped me even the Uni admin, they printed it from the University letterhead, sealed and signed.

Then, sa work experience, I had a few years job as an inventory analyst in a BPO. Yung JD (and my actual job) seems very far from the work of an Accountant. Dito talaga ko nagworry. I did my best to write it as close as the job of an accountant. Btw, also all my JD were also DIY. If I let the previous HR or manager do it for me, it will take me forever. I have to message all my previous colleague/manager to help me with this. I just asked them to sign and stamp this for me. I figured it is much easier job for them to just sign it as long as it reflects my actual job description.

PTE took me 3 takes to get superior. NAATI is also not that as easy as I expect. So now I'm patiently waiting for an invite as an offshore with 95 points. Ayun lang, please pray for me guys and wish me luck.. ;D I hope this helps.

goodluck. though ang open pa lang for offshore application for accountants is NT because other states are really keen on sending out invites to onshore applicants only as of the moment. let's see what will be the development in terms of border opening in the next month. hopefully, the process will be back to the pre-pandemic situation the soonest.

Yes. As long as you’ve done the compulsory modules needed and as long as your university is listed under section 1

Thank you sa pagsagot. Mukhang negative makapag assess due to university listed is under section 3. Pag ganito po ba ang best to do na is to enroll sa university or school in Australia that provides Diploma in Accounting or Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping? Please advise po ano magandang gawin to lead on a PR visa from TSS482.

hey guys, I just want to share my journey to help a bit to anyone.

Hello po, question po dun sa ginawa niyo sa JD, gumawa po ba kayo ng stat dec para dito or di na need kasi may stamp naman yung ginawa niyong DIY na JD?
