Hi, If the immigration is requesting me to do my medical. Usually how many months to wait for the immigration to update me if I receive my PR if there is no problem with our medical?

Tapos ngemail yung CO asking for the medical report / Immigration Medical Examination. basta ung e-medical report inattach namin.

Question, sa normal visa processing, need tlga iupload ung e-medical report? Or dahil ba narefer medical ko?

    Hello po.

My wife is planning to take up SV under Commercial Cookery (cert 3, cert 4 and advanced diploma in hospitality management). tapos magiging dependent nya po ako. tanong ko lang po sana if magandang way po ba ito for PR pathway?

    thank you po

I believe there's PR pathway sa cookery. Pero make sure din na you have experience and your job is related sa course na kinuha. Check if it's eligible sa Visa 485 ( I think this has been changed now) na pwedi ka maka work full-time after studying. Student visa is different sa PR. For me, medjo pahirapan makakuha ng PR sa Australia if you don't have the skills and experience. Madali ang PR pathway through sponsorship ng company and partners visa.

If ever po, ano po ang work restriction ng dependent ng student visa while taking cookery in comparison with student taking up BS Nursing in Australia?

    Thank you po ulet

Nong nag process pa lang ako ng student visa, I didn't see the value of higher education dahil financial reason na din and medjo mahal talaga if ikaw lang mag-isa. When I arrived here in Australia, I experienced all the struggles as a student, go back from scratch talaga swertehan lang makahanap ng corporate jobs or kahit odd jobs pinasukan na din. VET pala kinuha ko Diploma and Advanced Diploma of IT, Sa higher education kase, after graduate, you'll have visa 485 (last time I've heard na change na to from 2 go 3 years na not sure check niyo nalang) where you can work full time. Bigger chance for employment sponsorship, kahit sa vocational naman may chance din maka 485 pero depende talaga sa skills / experience and sa course. Kase sa IT wala siyang 485, di eligible sa ACS assessment as they only accept Au higher education. And most of the companies, they offer internship program if galing kang uni 😊 If you have money and can do masters, may chance si dependentt na maka work full time so ok na sa cost of living if one of you can work full time :) And au education din is may points for PR.

    hello everyone,

    happy new year.

my inquiry ako regarding student visa for my sister. she is a registered nurse here in Phils but did not practice it. instead all here experiences are in the customer service field (Bpo). is it possible if she will take up a Cookery course in Aus?my chances kaya maapprove ang visa niya despite ang Cookery is hindi related sa course and work experience niya? baka meron lang dito na same scenario at naapprove naman ang visa.

2nd option niya if Cookery is not possible is that she will take up a course that's related to Nursing. can anyone give us suggestions on what course to take? esp. a course with a PR path. may chances din kaya ito ma approve since hindi naman niya na practice ang nursing?

thank you in advance. hoping for your inputs and comments about this. we are both clueless about the student visa processes esp on choosing the right course

    TIA!

They're all under the same VET sector. Mas mababa yong certificate and pinakamataas is Advanced Diploma. Your sister needs to have a good GTE to justify bakit siya mag take ng ibang course lower sa degree niya sa Pinas and not even in-line sa course niya. Sa GTE lang talaga magkatalunan. For some agents, they will advice bachelors or masters if client is nasa 30's na.

My agent helped me with my GTE.

You just have to prove sa GTE mo bakit new course itatake mo (if hindi siya align sa prev course mo) , strong home times (babalik ka talaga sa Pinas after mag student), indicate your future plans, for example cookery ka, indicate mo na you have family-owned restaurants. This and that.

Sa mga friends ko, I do advise them to take higher education kase after nga studies, you have 2 full years na pwedi ka maka full time and PR points na din if di ma ack ang course mo sa Pinas as equivalent sa AQF. Disadvantage is cost sobrang mahal pero diskartehan mo. Hanap ka ng work. At the end of the day, your handwork will be paid off :)

It depends on your confidence on doing DIY, and whether you meet eligibility requirements for admission and visa application. How soon you can get admitted to a program will not necessarily be any faster via agency kasi hindi hawak ng education agency ang admission process. They can provide you with a list of documents required to apply for a program in the school/uni of choice, though, or make recommendations on the program to study based on your career goals. If DIY ka, ikaw magreresearch nung admission and student visa requirements on your own, which will require time on your end.

Kung complete naman ang documents mo and you meet the eligibility when applying for a program, generally you'd get a response within a few weeks of submitting an application to the school/uni. Although kung DIY ka pala, baka kailangan mo magbayad ng application fee (especially for universities), whereas if you apply via education agency, it's possible that you don't have to pay for application fee. Just ask the agent to confirm if there are any application fees that you have to pay to the university. Typically the services of education agents (like IDP) are free because they get their commissions from the universities that clients get into.

Good day po sa inyong lahat!

I would like to ask for help regarding my medical examination. So I submitted my Student Visa application yesterday, January 27, and then they requested a medical examination result. Upon booking for medical examination here in the Philippines, Nationwide Health Systems Philippines Inc., the earliest possible date I could book is March 19. I've checked their Baguio, Makati, Cebu, and Davao clinics but other clinics were fully booked up to May-June.

But the DHA's correspondence email says, "You have 28 days starting on the day after we emailed this request to give us the information we have asked for." I have already enquired DHA but I am still waiting for their reply. I will try to call their landline this Monday for further assistance. What do you guys think about this? And what are the things I could possibly do pa po

@paradoxical I’ve read on some post sa fb that St. Lukes Ermita accommodates walk in but you have to go super early and they’ll only accommodate you once scheduled applicants are finished. Not sure tho, if this is the case everytime. Or depende sa mood or dami ng tao. It’ll be a risk kasi di ka sure plus they need rt pcr.

I think you can also inform DHA about the limited schedule availability and your appointment. Pero I haven’t tried this.

@lizzi thank you po for your insight. I forgot to mention I'm from Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao, so it's going to be hard for me to do walk-ins especially in Luzon area. :(

Oh i see. kng walang malapit na pwedeng mgwalk in, set your appointment tapos email DHA. ung iba dito baka may natry gawin before. Wait natin sila.

    Good day po!
Last enrolled subject sa school and work exp ko is last 2019 pa.

    Thank you.

    Good day po!
Last enrolled subject sa school and work exp ko is last 2019 pa.

As long as majustify mo yung GTE mo bakit ka magsswitch from CS to CE maaapprove ka naman.

For graduate visa (post study work stream visa), entitled lahat ng students neto kung natapos mo higher ed with at least 2 years of completion, regardless of the field of study.

Hi everyone! Hope someone can help me out.

I'm a licensed architect in the ph, with 4 yrs exp and I am currently thinking of migrating to Australia (long term goal is PR) through student pathway. I know I have other better cheaper options, but all of them seem such long waits, I would like to come to oz asap for personal reasons. I also need to be located in Sydney since I already have a place to live there.

So basically I want to work as a ce draftsperson after my studies. I think this somehow gives better pr chances than architectural draftsperson, and I've always had quite an interest in engineering. So Im planning to take Diploma of Civil Construction Design in tafe nsw.

My problem is, it's duration is only 75 weeks in CRICOS. I know that I need 92 weeks Australian Studies to have a positive assessment when I apply for 485 (which i believe is my next step).

    Questions:
    1. How should I fill in the remaining weeks I need? Do I need to start with Certificate IV first? My budget is limited so I can't afford getting a bachelors degree.
    2. Are there other course options (ie diploma of building and construction? diploma of building design?) that can lead to ce draftsperson employment? If there are cheaper options preferrably in sydney, id appreciate all suggestions.

    Other Notes:
    1. I know some architects from the ph have directly applied as ce draftsperson as their nominated occupation. But I don't have enough experience with it; I have more architectural exp, hence this student visa pathway. I really do want to study for upskill purposes also
    2. I don't have a migration agent (only educ) so I'm trying to learn all of these on my own. So if this seems like a bad risky plan, I'd appreciate all opinions as well. :)

Hello, may I ask if what's the cheapest/affordable school for masters in accountancy within Sydney or nearby places? Thank you!

Indeed, there is no longer much demand for architectural draftsperson as before, so civil eng draftsperson might be a better option for you (at least kung desidido ka talaga lumipat into engineering).

    1. Looking at the TAFE NSW website (for International students, not just for domestics), may Advanced Diploma sila, so you can ask TAFE if you can do a packaged course na Diploma (1.5 year) + Advanced Diploma (0.5 year), para umabot sa 2 year study. As far as I know, the things that a Diploma course would cover already includes the things that are within the Certificate IV.

    https://www.tafensw.edu.au/international/package/-/p/p/156/1337/Advanced-Diploma-of-Civil-Construction-Design

    1. Diploma of Building Design is suitable only if you want to be a Building Designer, which is similar to Architecture, but it limits the scope and type of buildings you can design (usually low- to mid-rise and simple buildings lang). Diploma of Building and Construction is, by my understanding (but I'm not 100% sure on this), more on the construction side of this. So parang ang job prospect mo dito is builder (contractor in PH context). If engineering drafting ang habol mo, then these programs might not be the best pathway for your career goals.

TAFE QLD offers Cert IV in Engineering Drafting, but unfortunately it's not offered in TAFE NSW. Each state/territory have different demands for occupations, so the programs that TAFE offers are usually different.

    Regarding your notes:
    1. I hope you are aware and you understand that when you apply for your 485 visa after studying, you need to get a skills assessment for your nominated occupation to be eligible for the Graduate Work stream. I just don't know if the assessing authority (check mo nlng kung EA ba or VETASSESS ang kailangan mag-assess for CE draftsperson) requires some work exp related to your occupation (engineering drafting, not architectural) in order to provide you with a positive skills assessment.

    1. Personally I have no idea what your PR chances are with CE draftsperson pathway, so I cannot outright say if your plan is good or bad. Being on a student visa is a big risk in itself (time- and money-wise), but it's the faster way to get onshore, in my opinion. My only advice is to really plan ahead and be strategic with your pathway, as well as save adequate funds for your tuition. I would recommend you to have at least 1 year's tuition fee ready and available to spend (hindi lang one sem), para less emotional and mental stress for you. While you living with friends/family in Sydney will help a lot with saving for your tuition, don't always assume that your part-time job can completely cover your tuition right away, especially kung hindi solid 20 hours/week ang work na makukuha mo. I am aware of the no work restrictions for students ngayon, but that will be reviewed in April 2022, so there is no news yet if unli work pa rin by the time you get here, so just assume for that moment that 40hrs/fortnight pa rin ang allowable hours.

There is no issue with doing things yourself, but you really need to read up and research your options while you're offshore, para pagdating dito hindi ka masyadong stressed at makakafocus ka sa pag-aaral.
