  I agree with lunarcat. Try the online job hunting sites, as well as walk-in applications. Consider checking out retail stores in shopping malls, as they would sometimes have job ads placed by the store entrance. Just prep your resume (there's tons of online guides on how to make Australian format resumes) and try doing walk-ins.
