Guide for TSS 482

Hello po. I have been working for a client for 6 years na and they have offered to sponsor me so I can live and work sa Australia.

They are a financial planning firm and financial planning assistant po nila ako. I did some research and ang possible pathway na pwede ko po applyan is TSS 482.

Although both me and my clients are not really sure saan mag simula and ano mga need gagawin.

Meron na ba dito na nakapag apply and granted with a visa similar to my case?

Thank you

If hindi to pwede, ano ang ibang paraan for employer sponsorship po?

I don't have any idea po. Maybe others with your same case might have inputs po. Thank you 😊

Meron ho bang possibility where I can do tourist visa first then doon na po mag apply sa work visa?

Para may bridging visa ako and safe until ma process yun.

Tourist visa doesn't have work rights. Kung ano yung work rights mo sa previous visa, yun din macacarry over sa bridging visa mo. May naapprove na work rights from tourist to bridging but case-to-case basis ito like for people who are applying for a partner visa at matagal na sila naka tourist visa/bridging visa. But in your case, I reckon that it is not allowed. So kahit magpunta po kayo dito and will have a chance to process your work visa, you have to wait till its approval before you can work here legally. However, I would advise consulting a migration agent for confirmation.

Agree po dito. If you're eyeing for employer sponsored visa, you still have to go through the process whether on or offshore (skills assessment, Xyrs of experience relevant to the occupation, apply si employer for nomination, etc) Best to talk to an agent po.

For your occupation po, as long as most of the tasks matches sa listed skilled occupation, pwede po sya. Position title is not required po, kailanagn yung mismong tasks na ginagawa. I suggest check mo po yung mga occupation sa skilled list which you think is closely related to yours, examine mo yung description/tasks/ responsibilities based on ANZSCO sa occupation chosen, then select which one ang pinaka-related. Then look for proofs na talagang ginagawa mo ang tasks na yun.
There are a lot sa skilled occupation list, pwedeng di sya pumasok sa Medium or Long Term, pero baka pwede sa STSOL or regional.

@Luffychan , agree ako kay @Enad. Baka may makita ka sa occupation list na applicable sa current work mopara makapagapply ka ng work visa. If you wouldn't mind ano ba occup mo?

Okay that makes complete sense po, salamat. So tourist visa is a no and ang pinaka best option is the employer sponsored visa/TSS 482.

Yung challenge ko lang ksi dito is, Financial Planning Assistant ang work ko.

I help them set appointments, update their systems, process applications, switches and reweights sa superannuations ng clients nila, prepare ng review at annual reports for their clients, etc.

Try to check this po. If you can tick off most of the tasks here, then pwede po tong occupation sa inyo.

    https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/classifications/anzsco-australian-and-new-zealand-standard-classification-occupations/2021/browse-classification/2/22/222/2223

Another option for you po is to look at Administrative Assistant or something like that. These occupations are generic, pwedr sa iba-ibang industries. So kahit ang employer mo is nasa Financial Advisor business or Insurance, applicable pa rin po sya. What’s important are the tasks involved po.

    Hope this helps. :)

Yeah I figured. So if i select ko yung Financial Investment Manager, where most sa mga tasks ay ginagawa ko, mahirap pa din kasi need ng license. Tama ho ba?

May working visa po na they require for skills assessment. So you also need to consider din. If confuse sa nominated occupation, seek for a professional help. They will let you send your resume, and they're the ones who will look close to your nominated occupation. Pero not sure if other agents do that. This is based on my experience. If the nominated occupation requires licensing, then you need to obtain one in order to pass the skills assessment.

@alfiejohn Note na there are 2 main steps for an employer-sponsored visa. Your employer has to be approved to be able to sponsor an employee under a 482 visa. Then the employee has to lodge a visa application.

I agree with @lunarcat, better to consult po agents. However if you and your employer plan to do it DIY, need po ng extensive research and analysis. At the end of the day, ikaw mas nakaka-alam sa tasks mo. Suggested steps po for you to consider:

    1) Select Occupation sa SOL - though limited lang MT ang LT, ang daming options for STSOL or ROL.
    2) Look into occupations which is mostly similar sa tasks mo, ex , Personal Assistant. Check mo po sa AZSCO yung tasks if most of it matitick-off mo. I really suggest you check this occupation and note the Position Title doesn’t matter.
    3) Employer Location - is it Syd, Mel or Bne? If yes, occupation in STSOL won’t be possible for Permanent visas. You can do 482 - short term. If location is in regional area, you may opt to go for 494 if they’re willing naman to offer and nominate.

Re Skills Assessment, if you really are doing those tasks, you just have to worry sa pagprovide ng evidences and properly drafting CVs, and Certification from employers. May number of yrs experience required for most occupations, so you need to consider as well. When it comes to qualification requirements (education level) consider mo din po kasi not all schools dito sa PH ka-level sa qualification ng AU. If not related ang qualification mo, a number of yrs may be deducted pa sa experience mo…
Need talaga through research kung DIY kayo, but even with agents it’s best to still research on your own po.

Hello po! Ask ko lang if possible, bang DIY application for TSS 482? I am a licensed Physiotherapist here sa PH for 3 years na. Luckily, I found an employer who are willing to nominate me for a visa sponsorship kaso ang dilemma is first time niya magoutsource ng employee from PH. On my end din, sa mga nabasa ko eto yung swak na type of visa for me. Baka pwede kayo magshare anong pwede gawin like from scratch? This will be my first time applying for a work abroad and applying for a visa as well.

Hello po, start by reading the digger type of working visa through this link: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/Visa-subsite/Pages/work/explore-visa-options-work.aspx#

Common visas are Visa 482 (Short or Medium Term) and 186 (PR visa).

Sa part ni employer, I believe there are also requirements na need nila i-comply if eligible sila to become a sponsor. If your company can help you get an agent or depends sa usapan niyo, much as well seek for professional help especially as first timers may mga papers na involved.

If same company lang mag sponsor, and you're 3 years na, check visa 186 (DE) which is PR visa baka eligible ka, and your company is willing to go further to sponsoring you a PR visa.

I see. So possible pala na sila rin magprovide ng agent kasi as I read further into it rigorous yung process tapos usually dito sa Pinas tumatagal so iniisip ko na baka overwhelming for me since I am planning on doing it DIY. Anyway, thank you so much for sharing your insight! Research ko yang visa 186 (DE)

Hi! I did my 482 visa application DIY as well. Here's what happens:

First, your employer will submit an application for your Nomination to Australia's Immigration office. You will need that nomination when you start filling up your visa application. You cannot go further with applying for your visa without this nomination.

Next, gather your documents. Color-photocopy your passport, birth certificate, nbi clearance, prc certificate, diploma, tor, and have them notarized by a lawyer, and have them scanned. Note that their signature and stamp MUST BE IN BLUE INK. These will be used as proof for the information you put in to your application, and will be uploaded into the visa application.

They will also ask for your resume.

If you can get a health insurance while you are in Phils, the better. I think that it is possible to get one. I forgot the name type of insurance we should have, just look it up hehe.

Also, before lodging your visa application, let your employer know that you will need to apply for an EXIT CLEARANCE from the Philippines. The clearance is called OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate). Without it, you cannot legally exit our country.

Let me know how it goes. Congratulations on getting a job! Konti na lang

Hello @Joninho. Thank you for the output. I have a couple of questions lang po sana.

    1. After nag apply ni employer ng sponsorship, diba po meron pa yung kailangan nila mag post sa site na they are hiring for that position and it should stay for at least a month? Diba yun yung sa TSS kasi need somehow iverify na shortage sya dun so they are outsourcing abroad?

How about IELTS po? Need ba mag take nun?

    3. In terms of occupation list po, ano po ba ma suggest nya po if yung post ko wala dun sa list?

Hello @Joninho. Thank you for the output. I have a couple of questions lang po sana.

    1. After nag apply ni employer ng sponsorship, diba po meron pa yung kailangan nila mag post sa site na they are hiring for that position and it should stay for at least a month? Diba yun yung sa TSS kasi need somehow iverify na shortage sya dun so they are outsourcing abroad?

How about IELTS po? Need ba mag take nun?

    3. In terms of occupation list po, ano po ba ma suggest nya po if yung post ko wala dun sa list?

Thanks in advance. Hope to hear from you.

    1. Yep. It did mention na kailangan naka post yung job for 1 month at least before ka na hire. That is already out of our hands kasi si employer na bahala sa part na yan.
    2. No show money, but I had a valid english test. Haha

@Joninho congrats and thank you sa pag reply.

And yung need ko dapat is nasa medium term kaso kahit ung other occupation na pde mag match yung tasks, puro nasa short term. Kaya di talaga siguro para sa akin :(

    That's a tough situation.

Baka may ibang paraan.

They might consult a migration lawyer regarding your case.

Try to check po because last time I've heard yong short term may pathway to PR na pero not sure hanggang kelan knowing every quarter pabago-bago policy. Need mo din ma meet yong criteria para ma sponsoran ka especially years of experience, if yong nominated occupation is pasok din siya sa list. Maybe the agent can help you assess your job responsibilities. Minsan kase same tasks pero iba yong title dito πŸ˜…

What do you mean po? Well, renewable naman yong working visa short or long term. 😊
