(1) As mentioned above, it is best to only claim the experience credited in your skills assessment else chances are you may overclaim work experience that may result to refusal. Short answer, if counted ba, I vote no.
In EOI you can keep the work experience end date to blank if you are currently working in that company.
(2) Yes, it just sensible to always keep your CV updated and use that.
Is your current role not related to your nominated occupation? If yes, you can include that in your assessment as well, and if credited you can add it to your work experience. If not related, I think no need to include.

I have 2 yrs and 9 months experience as QA Analyst at Coca-Cola. Then 3 months as QA Specialist in another company. Then currently I am working as QA Analyst in San Miguel but I wasn't able to get a statement of service. All work experiences are related to the nominated occupation.

Is it okay to include even though i have only 3 months of experience in my second job? Thank you.

I suggest, if all experiences are related to the nominated occupation, then include them regardless how long you stayed in that company.
Of course you have to provide the requirements (refer to the assessing body) to prove these are valid experiences.

I would suggest to include your current job even if you can't get a COE. You can write a statutory declaration naman to explain why you can't provide it. Then support mo na lang with either a copy of your contract and recent payslip.

Hi guys,
I have a concern in Skillselect's Points Calculator. My total work experience is 6 yrs and 1 month as assessed by ACS. Obviously, to meet the suitability criteria, they deducted the first 2 years of experience. So in total, meron na lang akong 4 years of Skilled Employment.
However, Skillselect is not smart enough to deduct the first 2 years as well. Therefore, nabibigyan ako ng additional 5 points sa work experience which I'm worried of overclaiming. Should I just start my first year of work dun sa start date na relevant according to ACS and omit the first 2 years?
For Example:
My Actual Employment History
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 5 years
Position 2 - Company A - PH - 1 year
6 years work experience
Total Points = 85
Wag ko na lang ba isama yung first 2 years na part of suitability criteria like this?
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 3 years
Position 2 - Company A - PH - 1 year
4 years work experience
Total Points = 80
Thanks!

follow what ACS has provided you... only mark those after the Deemed Skilled Date as relevant to avoid over claiming of points

In my case first 3 years yung qualifying period per VETASSESS, so hiniwalay ko sya sa EOI:
Position 1 - Company A - 3 years tagged as not claiming points
Position 1 - Company A - x years tagged as claiming points
Position 2 - Company A - x years tagged as claiming points

I was thinking of doing that too. Para aware sila na 6 years in total. But is this advisable to do?
Joined: Mar 10, 2016
EOI will still rely on the experience you claim when counting points. So you will have to make sure to claim only the years recognised from your skills assessment.
Joined: Nov 04, 2022
I think should be okay as long as your skills assessment supports the points you are claiming.

Yes. They mentioned 6 years in my skills assessment but relevant experience only starts after 2 years as per below statement.
**The following employment after 14 January 2015 is considered to equate to work at an appropriately
skilled level and relevant to ANZSCO Code 263111 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer).
Dates: 01/13 - 02/19 - 6 year(s) 1 month(s)**
Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

Hi po, this happened to me, hindi kinount ni EA ung isang work experience ko from a company na di nakapagbigay ng detailed COE, although related sa nominated occupation ko. I am speaking from my experience with EA, not sure about other assessing bodies po.

nung una nag alangan din ako mag request ng COE sa HR kasi inisip ko rin yan. pero I heeded the advice of my friend. Go straight ask for COE without directly mentioning the intent to migrate. Don't go into details. Di naman kelangan malaman ng HR na balak mo mangibang bansa. Don't ask for your boss or manager's employee reference kasi may possibility ma-red tape ka. Lesser evil pag sa HR dahil wala naman sya paki sa employee, kelangan nya lang ma-accomplish deliverables nya for the day then that's it.
so I took the courage to request from HR. pinahapyawan ko lang. sabi ko, I'm considering trying my luck to apply for permanent residency in Canada, NZ, and Australia. sabi ko possible ba mag ask ng COE? then nag reply, she asked kung kanino i-address ang letter. sabi ko pwede bang To Whom It May Concern para hindi na ako babalik ulit sayo kasi di ko pa alam ibang recipients.
few days later, I got my detailed COE. binigay ko lang lahat ng gusto kong ilagay sa letter, sya na naglagay.

Joined: Apr 16, 2020
Well need talaga pumunta sa HR. You can always request one and say you’re applying for a Visa and your agent advised you to get a COE with a detailed one. Just don’t mention na lang na mg-migrate ka. I used to obtained one before for my US Visa application ndi nman ako na-red tape. Kpag ngtanong why need a detailed one you can always say na need ng proof of capacity to pay for the trip. Since walang mgssponsor na iba sa trip.

In my opinion, if hindi ipapaassess baka kahit hindi na rin ilagay sa CV, kasi hindi magtutugma sa field ng Employers sa Skilled employment tab (if under EA po). Pero pagdating sa EOI, ilalagay mo sya if pasok sa last 10 yrs, and tag it as not claiming points nalang para safe since hindi sya assessed.
Antay rin natin sagot ng iba po dito.

Hi guys,
I'm opening this discussion again as I am now lodging my Application for Visa 190.
So based on my submitted EOI, I followed @whimpee suggestion below:
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 2 years - NOT related to the nominated occupation
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 3 years - RELATED to the nominated occupation
Position 2 - Company A - PH - 1 year - RELATED to the nominated occupation
6 years work experience but only 4 years at relevant/skilled level.
Claimed Points = 5
But in the immi application form, there is an added question aside from whether it is related or not.
1. "Is the applicant claiming points for this employment?"
2. "Is this employment related to the nominated position?"
My question is, should I answer both NO for the first 2 years of experience. I'm not sure how this will affect my claimed points so I'm being careful.
Ganito sana yung naiisip ko:
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 2 years - NOT claiming points - YES related to the nominated occupation
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 3 years - YES claiming points - YES related to the nominated occupation
Position 2 - Company A - PH - 1 year - YES claiming points - YES related to the nominated occupation
Or dapat ba both NO pa rin like this:
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 2 years - NOT claiming points - NOT related to the nominated occupation
Position 1 - Company A - PH - 3 years - YES claiming points - YES related to the nominated occupation
Position 2 - Company A - PH - 1 year - YES claiming points - YES related to the nominated occupation
Thanks!
