Noob question lang po. 482 visa here plan mag 189/190

10 years from kung kelan ka magpapaassess lang ung iinclude mong work experience? So past nun is di din icoconsider?

Also, sa work experience. Meron kasi akong AU experience na, talaga bang 20 points total lang ung pwede mo maachieve with combined experience?

    Thanks!

Yes, last 10yrs lang tinitingnan ng ACS.
Yes, total of 20pts max lang for the work experience off- and onshore.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

No need for certification or notary. Just upload the coloured scanned copy of the original document. If it is an e-document, meaning it's not a physical document, then just submit that directly.

Question po - sana may makatulong.

May assessment po ako sa ICT Business Analyst valid till 2024, sitting at 90/95 points for 189/190 (80k salary) since August pero wala pa rin pong invite. :( may nagsuggest sa akin na applyan ang Software Engineer instead and lodge a separate EOI with it kasi mas mataas chance. Checked with my agent and employer and swak naman with my current duties.

Tanong ko now is - Would getting another assessment as SE be worth the extra expense? And if yes should I pull my VIC 190 ROI under ICT BA and apply a new ROI as Software Engineer instead?

Please sana po may maka advise ๐Ÿ™

    Timeline:
2018 Feb - Arrived in Australia (Student Visa)
2020 Nov - Finished degree (Bachelor's in IT)
2022 Jan - Skills Assessment Result, Suitable for Migration under ICT BA 261111
2022 Feb - EOI lodged with 85 points
    2022 Jun - Passed NAATI
    2022 Jul - Re-lodged EOI with 90 points
2022 Aug - Lodged ROI (VIC)
    2022 Dec - ITA received - 189
    2023 Dec - 189 GRANTED โ™ฅ

    Thank you Lord!

if you graduated from a sec 1 (overseas) school with a major ICT degree, then it is comparable to AQF Bachelor. ACS will only require 2 years of work experience in your nominated occupation. Otherwise, more years are needed to obtain a positive skills assessment.

Well, if can afford naman, go for another assessment, although for VIC 190, isang ROI lang pwede. pero di din talaga guarantee na maiinvite soon, since may nabasa akong newsletter from ACS na di masyadong magfofocus now sa mga IT people ang Australia.

Well, if can afford naman, go for another assessment, although for VIC 190, isang ROI lang pwede. pero di din talaga guarantee na maiinvite soon, since may nabasa akong newsletter from ACS na di masyadong magfofocus now sa mga IT people ang Australia.

Yun nga ih, medyo mahal siya haha huhu. Thank you

    Timeline:
2018 Feb - Arrived in Australia (Student Visa)
2020 Nov - Finished degree (Bachelor's in IT)
2022 Jan - Skills Assessment Result, Suitable for Migration under ICT BA 261111
2022 Feb - EOI lodged with 85 points
    2022 Jun - Passed NAATI
    2022 Jul - Re-lodged EOI with 90 points
2022 Aug - Lodged ROI (VIC)
    2022 Dec - ITA received - 189
    2023 Dec - 189 GRANTED โ™ฅ

    Thank you Lord!

Or Bachelor Degree in your own country po?

Maraming maraming salamat po sa sasagot ๐Ÿ˜Š

    Hello everyone!

The bachelor degree should be equivalent to an AQF bachelor degree.

Hi guys so medyo mahaba to, I graduated with a degree in ECE specialized in Internet Protocol Networking sa isang Section 1 school pero nagwork ako sa IT Network related na role. Around 6 months worth of experience lang meron ako in total and now pinapa student visa ako ng family ko sa Australia kasi may family ako dun and gusto nila dun na rin ako, balak ko mag masters in IT (Networking).

Ang gusto ko lang malaman is pagkagraduate ko, balak ko mag gain ng experience with my Post study 485 visa while fixing my 189 visa. Since around 6 months lang ung experience ko dito sa Pinas plano ko mag work for 1-1.5 years sa Sydney before doing the skills assessment as a Network Admin/Engineer. What are my chances of getting a good skill assessment by ACS? Since pag nagwork ako dun after ng masters ko, total work experience ko ay nasa 1-1.5 years pa lang in total.

Have you looked into the 189 visa? Priority ang offshore now, nag iinvite sila as low as 65 pts as of late. Maabot mo yan kahit wala ka work exp points. Baka better option yan than going the SV route. PR invitation rules change a lot, for sure pag grad mo ng Masters iba na naman ang trend. This is speaking from experience.

    Hi,

Sorry another question. I know na ACS requires 2 documents as proof of payments. Sa case ko kasi, ang meron lang ako ITR. Ung company kasi nag migrate sila ng payroll nila so ung previous payslips ay wla na.

Contractual din ako dito so wlang SSS at philhealth. Negative naman sa bank statements kasi pahirapan makakuha sa Unionbank since 6 years ago na un and wla ako sa pilipinas.

Meron ba nagkaron ng ganitong case? I was planning to submit my ITR tas stat dec ng email ng company ko na di makakapagprovide ng payslips. Not sure kung magiging okay. 5 years kasi to e.

    Salamat!

Yeah I have pero from what I've read online, usually need nila ng 3-5 years worth of experience offshore para lang mapasa ung skills assessment. Gusto kasi ng family ko by next year nandun nako sa Australia imbis na magwork pa sa Pilipinas kasi sayang daw ung 20s ko

You can use your ECE degree to get a positive assessment. Mas competitive nga ang ICS occupations sa invitations, puro Engineering ang naiinvite sa 189 lately. Back in 2017 wala ako work exp, fresh grad ako and nakakuha ako positive assessment sa EA. One advantage yan ng EA - no need ng work exp whereas sa ACS assessment they require it.

Given that thereโ€™s only 6 months experience, skills assessment wonโ€™t be successful which means he wonโ€™t be eligible for 189,190 nor 491 visa subclass. At the the same time, what you mentioned about student visa is correct- procedures might change by the time heโ€™s finished his studiesโ€ฆ.but looks like his options would either be carry on with work to gain more experience or go via student visa, being mindful that legislation might change by the time heโ€™s done his studies.

If he goes the ACS route then an assessment is not possible, but for EA it can be done. I was also checking the points reqd for offshore applicants that immigration posted - it was as low as 65. That score can be reached easily (Age = 25/30, Educ = 15, English = 20, single = 10). Could be a good thing to try rather than go SV which is lengthy, costly and does not guarantee anything in the end.

I see, I'll ask first at the Engineering skills Assessment forum if it's a good idea to go through that route with my experience.

If I go for a student visa, is a 1 year's worth of experience in a related IT field in Australia good enough to get a positive assessment for ACS? Since I heard I need to lodge my EOI early because the post study visa is only valid for 2 years.

Could be a good thing to try rather than go SV which is lengthy, costly and does not guarantee anything in the end.

Ah yeah, had to read his post again. I didnโ€™t realise his qualification is ECE. Thatโ€™s right, no go for ACS but EA could work without work experience. Weโ€™ve handled many cases like this. And with regards to GSM visa pathway, weโ€™ve recently had invites with 65 points and even with just competent English, so yes itโ€™s possible lately.

Iโ€™m a product of a student visa pathway myself but not a fan of it in terms of PR pathway due to the fact that itโ€™s an expensive way to get to Australia without any guarantee that it will work. However, if he really is decided to study, what he can do is lodge the EOI onshore and see if he gets an invite whilst heโ€™s studying and if he does then respond to the invite and quit his studies once visa is granted.

I see, I'll ask first at the Engineering skills Assessment forum if it's a good idea to go through that route with my experience.

If I go for a student visa, is a 1 year's worth of experience in a related IT field in Australia good enough to get a positive assessment for ACS? Since I heard I need to lodge my EOI early because the post study visa is only valid for 2 years.

If ang goal mo lang is ma PR, it does not matter kung anong assessment ang gawin mo. You can do it via ACS or EA, yang assessment is only good for visa purposes. Dito ang hinahanap ng employer is full working rights. I applied for my visa using an EA assessment pero I work in IT currently.

Itโ€™s somehow tricky what youโ€™re trying to do, as mentioned legislation and procedures can change by the time youโ€™re done with your studies. Itโ€™s hard to predict your chances in the future based on the current policy.
