Honest Mistake in Visa Application

Thank you so much everyone for all the encouragement and tips. I have contacted na a number of migration agencies. Wala pa response since weekend ngayon. Hopefully by Monday meron na. I will make sure to update this thread how things go so others on the same boat may also be guided.

Hi!! Thank you!! Such a relief to know that your friend was notified and was given a chance to offset the points from a different category. Yun ung pinaka worry ko actually, na baka direcho refusal pag may nakitang discrepancy. Happy to know that the COs may actually contact us pala talaga and give chances. I'm feeling hopeful about this.

Pag maginquire ka sa migration agent ibigay mo yung possible scenarios.

Nung at the time of invite ba, magincrease ba yung points mo sa experience.

Ask sa migration agent/lawyer yung mga possible scenarios. At least triny mo and masagot yung mga what if mo.

a) Pwede ka umappeal sa ACS na from Diploma, magiging Bachelor
b) Reassess ulit, para pasok ang points mo, syempre si agent na makikiusap sa ACS kung pwede ifast track. Ang mga agents may mga terms na ginagamit sa letter, na siyempre may basis silang icite para maipanalo ang case mo. Pero kung wala talaga maicite, siyempre papayuhan ka na iwithdraw na ang application mo.

Basta registered MARN agent, May kanya kanya sila immigration barrister ang mga yan.

Noted po sir. So far lahat ng migration offices na kinontact ko puro MARA. Pumipili din po ako ng lawyer nila na Filipino with hopes na baka mas ilaban nila for me dahil kapwa Pinoy. Sana, sana po talaga maging successful. Thank you po!!

in this case, maybe a good chance to increase ur work experience para ma compensate ang na overclaimed sa education qualification.

Yes po. May 1 yr+ of other related experience pa po ako na hindi assessed ng ACS. Ito po ung current job ko.

During the time kasi na nagpa-assess ako sa ACS, kakalipat ko lang sa company na to. So wala pa ko ITR here that time and payslip parang 1 month pa lang noon.

Now naka 1yr+ na ko dito. May ITR na din ako from last year and payslips as payment evidences na required ng ACS.

I'm super hopeful na positive assessment to. And if it is, makakatawid ako from 3-5 years to 5-8 years na bracket. So dagdag points to.

October 2022 lang po ito.
Please note po nakapagpasa na sya ng stat declaration and incorrect information statement bago pa sya macontact ng CO.
Hoping may makatulong sainyo (anlaki din nung visa fee for 4person )

I think ipa assess mo na ulit with updated work exp then maybe convince or maybe theres a way na e honor ang bachelors degree mo sa pinas as comparable sa au bachelors degree. Then submit statutory dec for honest mistake and submit the form for incorrect info statement para at least mas clear sa CO 😊 i hope maging ok po 🙏🏻🙏🏻 laban lang kayang kaya yan 😊

Honest mistake can be very costly. Might make sense to get your documents checked before it’s too late.

I would suggest. to hire a migration lawyer from Australia with extensive experience to address your concern. Try Tracy Chan.

Hi. I have not withdrawn my application. I did a consultation with @RheaMARN1171933 and found a silver lining. I declared the mistake and recommended a way to offset the overclaimed 5 points through my latest work experience that was not yet included in the ACS assessment. Application status is still Received at time of writing. Hopefully all goes well.

In case of refusal, wala bang sign na ma re refuse ka? Rekta refusal agad? Or mayroon bang something like S57? Or it depends on the CO talaga?

Congratulations!! Which part of the EOI did you overclaim points - sa employment ba or iba pa (educ/english)?

So say I overclaimed +5 points for NAATI. Pwede ko syang ioffset ng employment points? Please enlighten us here. I understand this will not be applicable to everyone but this is insightful for those who may be in the same boat.

Yes po. Para decision-ready na po ung application. Baka po kasi kapag hindi ko inunahan, hindi mag request ng info ung CO then diretso denied.

Congratulation to you bellevest, please care you your final response on the overclaimed point as i am in the same shoe. I choose bachelors in EOI but CO said it's diploma and i have 28 days to respond. pls how did you treat your case?
