    Finally got my Visa last Feb 12, thank you Lord!

    Already contacted my connections from AU, all of them suggested that I better look for a job first before I decide to go there. Sabi nung isa ko friend be ready for a pocket money of around 3 months worth kasi usually matagal talaga maghanap ng trabaho.

    Gusto ko sana sa Hobart, IT/Web development po field ko...

    Binabati ko nga pala si Kerwin Jerwin, sana mabasa nya to hehehe...

    @cchamyl Hi, I'm new in this forum. I am currently preparing all my documents for ACS assessment. My course is ECE with 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer. I've read in your earlier post that your course is also ECE and got a positive assessment. Did you go by RPL?

    HI Blusil... I'm ECE graduate with only around 4 years experience ( 1 yr out of the 4 was in Australia) when I processed my ACS assessment last 2011.. I did not go through RPL and still got a favorable response.. :D

    I also know some ECE grad with around 5 yrs experience processing their ACS without having to go through RPL.. They are still waiting for the results.. I would suggest that you go through the ACS topic in this forum. You can probably see other ECE grad in that forum.

    iba na ang turn-around time ngayon bro... simce dumami ang ininvite nila the past few month, nagkakaroon ng mini-backlog.

    unlike during oct last yr na within 1 month possible na ma approve visa mo. now ata mga 8wks bago magka CO.

    @psychoboy sabagay, tumataas kasi ang number of invitees every round of invitation kaya siguro nagkakaroon ng backlog and also, upon invitation naman, hindi lahat ay nagpapalodge na agad ng application. As a result, nagpapang abot abot na ung mga previous invitees sa mga current invitation holders.

    VERY WRONG SUGGESTION pafs!! if you do that matatagalan na naman bago ka makakuha ng visa.... :)

    At hindi na natin alam pa as of the momemt ano ang mga guidelines by then. generally DIAC gets more strict every year.

    If ready ka na to apply; do it as soon as you can!!

    Just accept the fact na mas matagal na ang processing... yun nga lang the agony of waiting.. pro this is something that we dont have total control so we dont have any choice kundi maghintay...

    On the brighter side, mas mahaba ang time para magipon ipon! ;)

    I agree, ganun din nman kung hihintayin yung next financial year. Maghihintay pa rin. hehe :) Kung ano ang magagawa ngayon wag ng ipagpabukas. :)

    kung medyo obvious na ang backlog, I would suggest waiting for the next financial year which is in July...nagpipick up uli yung processing
    VERY WRONG SUGGESTION pafs!! if you do that matatagalan na naman bago ka makakuha ng visa.... :)

    At hindi na natin alam pa as of the momemt ano ang mga guidelines by then. generally DIAC gets more strict every year.

    If ready ka na to apply; do it as soon as you can!!

    The reason why I said this is that I experienced this first hand albeit in Singapore - way back in early 2009, I choose not to apply as PR and decided sa early 2010 nalang.

    Ayun, mid of 2009, they rarely give out Singapore PR na to Filipinos - and they rest is history, we applied twice and got rejected twice... :)
