hello all,
need advice.. my sister wants to come here in Austraia as SV enrolling in certificate of aged care since my recent news na my pathway na ang age care dito sa aus.
disclaimer:
she applied for SV 500 last March 2020 , AGe Care and she was refused a visa so medyo doubtful kami if pwede ba xa mag apply ulit. ang reason ng refusal is wala daw xa experience sa AGe care... meron din ibang agents nag suggest na mas high chances daw if higher education ang itake niya like Nursing..
need advice and insights po ๐๐ป๐๐ป
TIA

Hello po,
I have a son and an incoming grade 12 student here in the Phil, we want him to send to Australia for college after he finishes his grade 12. My sister is in Adelaide so malakas loob namin to send him there for college, ano po mga initial steps and requirements?
Thanks in advance.

AHPRA is the regulatory body for nurses & other allied health professionals in AU. You need to register with them to practice as an RN in AU. I suggest you raise your query about the requirements for AHPRA registration in the main (non student visa) thread since maraming nurses in the group & I'm sure someone will help. Meron din thread for RNs somewhere in this page, search mo na lang din. AFAIK among the requirements for registration is passing a written test and recency of practice, so dapat may work experience kung sa atin nagtapos ng Nursing. I could be wrong though, so best to ask the bigger group.

Hi po. I am currently on student visa 500 in Victoria pero offshore ako ngayon. Coming back next yr to resume my classes (supposedly). Pero nag lodge na ako ng EOI for PR visa 190 sa different states after i got my positive skills assessment.
Kung mainvite ako to apply for 190, kailangan ko bang icancel ang student visa ko before i start the visa process?

Kung on shore ka on your SV and you got invited, if you will lodge onshore, di ka pwede mag cancel ng SV mo kasi wala kang visa sa Oz pag ganyan nangyari. You can proceed to just continue with SV while waiting for your PR to be granted.

Hmm, bottom line I guess is to not cancel anything if you plan on returning to AU. Haha. Until you get a new substantial visa.
It's another story, kung ayaw mo na tuloy yung course mo and ayaw mo na bumalik, because for one I think you need to sort that out with the university and check for any obligations related to course withdrawal.
Discontinuing the course would eventually result to the cancellation of your SV as well, I believe. Di ako sure sa proseso nyan. Pero makes me think, kung offshore ka when you did this, then di mo na need bumalik pa ng AU obviously. Kung onshore naman, you need to leave the soonest after the visa cancellation.
While all of that is happening, syempre naghihintay ka ng invitation for GSM visa haha.
DIY all the way. Avoid preachy, know-it-all, and unscrupulous agents AT ALL COSTS!

If your current occupation is in the skilled occupation list, I think it's best to focus on getting a skilled immigrant visa rather than going down the student visa route. Naghihigpit na sa student visa and there are proposed changes that will make it harder to stay in AU after graduation. Meron din proposal to overhaul the points system, so baka iba na ang requirements by the time you graduate from your course. I suggest you talk to a registered migration agent about your situation para magabayan ka. Make sure you consult a migration agent and not an education agent. An education agent won't be able to give advise or help you strategize to eventually get PR.

Huhu

Good day everyone.
I passed the AIMS exam last year 2023, I am currently awaiting for an invite for my occupation (MLS - prio). However, it is also one of my dreams to study abroad so I am planning to take Masteral in RMIT. I would like to have some questions:
Will I be able to work full time while studying Master's?
How high are the chances of getting an invite for Visa 189, 190 while I am studying onshore?
What are the pros and cons of studying Master's?
Thank u very much.

485 lodgement dates
With many students looking to lodge their 485 visa applications before changes on 1st July 2024 .. a reminder that if you are waiting for a completion letter this week from your institution .. you cannot lodge the 485 visa on the same day.
You must wait until at least the following day to lodge under current legislation.

Good day, everyone! For college students who didn't finish their degrees here in the Philippines to pursue a completely different degree course sa Australia, what did you do para maging successful yung visa application niyo? I'm currently studying biotech sa PH uni but I really want to study nursing abroad since very supportive yung family ko esp auntie ko sa AUS. Thank you po!
