Just wanted to ask if someone who also have chronic kidney disease had trouble applying for a any visa here in Australia. I have IgA Nephropathy and my kidney seem to excrete some protein in my urine. My kidney function is still very good, efgr still high and I won't be needing dialysis for a very very long time if I am able to take care of my eating habits and lifestyle.
Would this be a problem on applying a visa? Will be applying student visa once I already enrolled on RMIT.

@jcab Are you planning to apply for PR in the future? If yes, you might want to consult a MARA agent who is experienced in cases with health issues. Renal disease is listed as one of the conditions that affect PR visa grants.

@maguero, yes if it's possible. But if I were just to apply for a student visa first. Would having this health issue be a factor? I really wanted to study on Melbourne on June.

@akhilgeorge96 Hello just got my visa last August 24. I applied last August 2, 2022. Wala namang naging problem sa medicals ko, I just told them yung condition ko and ano yung tinatake kong gamot currently.
As long as hindi naman nakakahawa, it won't be a problem.

Considered din kung gano kamahal ang treatment and gano ka frequent, and if the condition will severely limit you to work (low functioning autism and blindness for example). I know someone na denied ang visa dahil need niya ng regular dialysis.

Even if you don't declare this, the medical includes blood & urine tests so makikita na mataas ang createnine. If DHA brings this up & you say you didn't know you had CKD, hindi ba mapapasama because they will think you have an unmanaged condition? It's always best to be honest kasi mahirap itago ang condition na to.

Agree! Better to be caught honestly than be caught hiding/lying it, IMO.

hello! i have a congenital heart disease. kakadiagnose lang sakin na congenital pala and mali yung previous doc ko. eitherway, same treatment pa rin ako i just need to drink oral meds (around 800 php monthly lang) and regular check up with cardio. do you think maka affect to sakin? no surgery needed for now pero most likely in the future kasi progressive sya. when maybe in my 40-50s (im 26 yo now).
estimate sa pinas is 1-1.5m for valve replacement and i think sa Au is around 45k AUD. thoughts po? also baka maka recommend kayo ng agent who knows health issues
