yes you can. I did it right after the ceremony but I used paper form application. kasi kapag online you need to wait I think 10 days para mag reflect yung citizenship # na need para maka proceed ka.

Cancelled na passport mo once nag pledge ka na. 1yr ka pwede mag stay sa pinas in Aussie passport.

Salamat po sa reply. Nabasa ko kasi sa Smartraveller up to one month lang pwede mag stay ang mga Australian citizen. Pano po naging 1 year maximum stay as you mentioned? Salamat po ule.

Since naturally born filipino naman tayo kaya 1yr yung binibigay nila na pwedeng mag stay sa pinas.

Pano po ba application ng 1year stay? Upon entry sa pilipinas lang ba ini-issue to? Saka automatic po ba na ibibigay satin ang 1 year stay pag naipakita natin ang old Philippine passport natin sa immigration satin? Salamat po.

automatic yan upon arrival sa pinas ibibigay ng immigration. hindi ko naman pinakita yung old passport ko. sinabi ko lang na dati akong filipino citizen. nasa system naman nila yun

Check mo AU passport mo. Nakalagay dun yung place of birth which should be PH. Enough proof na dapat yan na filipino ka dati or currently

Ako good bye na. Wala ako makitang advantage mag dual and wala naman time line yun. puwede mo gawin anytime. pero yun nga, para saan pa. I am not saying wag ka mag dual ha. eto ay para sa akin lang naman, syempre kanya kanya tayo ng decision sa buhay.

for now good bye na. kasi maski AU citizen naman makakapag stay pa din naman sa pinas ng matagal tapos makaka acquire pa din naman ng properties so I think for now okay lang hindi mag dual at kapag mag retire na at decided to go back to ph for good tsaka mag dual.

I received my letter of appointment for the citizenship test, do i still need to provide nbi clearance? cos i havent received any letter from them requesting for this doc? TIA

It has been a while. Pero I dont remember providing an NBI clearance. Kasi by the time nag citizenship exam ako, expired na NBI clearance. Check the docs, nanduna naman yung mga requirements. I think during my time, di kinailangan ng NBI clearance.

Took my exam last December 2022, they didnt look for nbi clearance. If it's not in the list of requirements, then chances are d nila hahanapin sayo dapat yun.

Requirements are very straight forward. Just stick to it. If they will require any additional document, they will let you know.

Finally nakagraduate na ako sa PR, eto na next step saken Nagsstart palang ako magbasa ng process kasi next year Oct pa ako makakapagpasa ng citizenship application pero I wanna know a few things:

Haven't learned this step yet pero you submit a citizenship application in your immiaccount right? Then after that babalikan ka lang nila for a exam date ganun ba?
In your own exp, gaano katagal ang buong process from submitting the application to the ceremony itself?
Anyone here in WA who did the process? Iba iba ata timeframes per state e, I live in Success WA so if anyone is close by I'd like to hear from you

Hi, first of all, congrats po pala sa mga citizen and nasa citizenship application stage na. Question lang po, need pa ba nag Australian National Police Check for citizenship application? Nasa attach documents stage na kami ng application and walang item for police check. Not sure if lalabas yung police check when finished sa attach document part. We got our PR Visa January then Initial Entry ng May then big move ng September. Walang exit ng Au until completed yung 4yrs due to covid, etc. Thanks in advance.

Citizenship application is very straight forward. If not asked for, then it is not required.

not required yung National Police Check. sila gagawa nyan for you

its so surreal na dito na ako magtatanong. parang kelan lng sa 489 application pa at aba may nakikita akong mga kasabayan dati.

mag lolodge palang po kami kc ang tagal ng 887 namin, 2 yrs. anyway, the long wait is over and dito na kami sa final stage ng AU dream, naks! makikibalita lng sana sa processing time now. dito kami NSW. ano po yung timeline ninyo. salamat po sa sasagot.

Hi po,

Eligible na po ako for citizenship next year and I’m intending to apply. May daughter po ako na PR but still residing in Ph, shes 10 po. Hindi pa sya ready to move anytime soon. Questions:

May nakapag try na po ba and succeed na isama nila ang child sa citizenship application kahit na overseas?
If magmove po sya kapag 13 na sya dito sa Au, pwede po ba sya mag apply bu herself kahit na 13 years old pa lang or does she have yo wait na mag 18 before she can apply herself?
If she can apply kahit na 13yrs old pa lng sya, Maeexempt ba sya sa residency and citizenship test?

RE: husband & wife, or defacto partners, pag mag apply po ng citizenship, can the dependent applicant (e.g., wife or partner sa PR visa) create a separate Immi account to apply for his/her own citizenship application? Or separate po tlga ang citizenship application sa Immi account?

yes, you can create a different account to apply for citizenship (e.g., wife or partner sa PR visa), it is just much easier for me to do it all in one account, tutal ako din naman mag-fillup para sa family ko, thats why i did all application for me, my wife, and our kid in my immi... i hope that answers your question po

i have asked my guarantor, and she said na for almost 100+ of forms she has done, never did once she nacontact ng immigration for it i believe they just check if legit yung guarantor, and that is it... pero di din natin masasabi, kasi haka-haka lang ang aking mga sinasabi hahaha
