although kidding aside, i got inputs from a friend na nakakuha na ng favorable assessment from EA... ang tip nya is not to make the CDR very complex and too technical dahil baka mag-raise pa daw ng mas maraming questions sa assessor

Yes idol, yun din advice sa akin ng isang idol na nakakuha ng positive result sa EA. Hangga't maaari nga ay pasok yung number or words niyo dun sa suggested nila sa booklet (which is hindi ganun kadami kung titignan niyo). Well hangga't maaari lang naman. Kung talagang sosobra kayo siguro kaunti lang difference.

Mga sirs, tanong lang po paano po ba kung yung isa sa mga ex-employer ay ayaw mag issue
ng COE? Sabi kasi doon sa checklist ng CDR "Certified documentary evidence of employment [must be provided if you have relevant work
experience of 12 months or more, or if the work experience provides a basis of a career episode(s)]" . Balak ko kasi ilagay sa career episode yung naging role ko sa company na iyon dahil iyon yung most relevant sa EE. Ina-accept ba kahit payslip na lang? Or kung halimbawa yung Senior Engineer ko na lang noon ang kausapin ko mag-issue instead na yung manager or hr (dati ko pa sila hinihingan eh medyo bad trip sila sa akin kaya di ako binibigyan ng cert.)

@joestrummer sir nakapsa ba sa assessment and VISA application yung friend nyo kahit certificate lang...ang worry ko lang kasi pag nagcheck sila sa PRC eh di na registered.

Opo certificate lang yung pinasa niya though he is renewed and he did get a positive result on the assessment. According sa migration skills booklet ng ea, ang kelangan is "Certified evidence of registration under the licensing authority in the country in which you are practising [if necessary]..."

The way I see this is that you have two options,

1. Renew your license so as to be sure with the assessment. However this will take up time (extend sending requirements to EA), some money and it will be a lot harder if you are abroad.

2. Take your chances with the PRC Certificate. You have to live with the paranoia though.

I went with the second option well because I want to send the documents as soon as I can and I work overseas and I only had 2 weeks of vacation last December (Christmas and New Year season, so you know how the government offices are mostly close) thus making it a bit harder for me to renew. Well I took my chances hopefully it will still give me the results I want.

Whatever works for you because the truth is I don't know if the validity of the PRC license is a huge deciding factor for a positive result.

if you back track dito sa mga thread..marami po ang ang sabi na naka-receive ng EA positive assessment kahit hindi lincensed sa pinas (PRC).

for sure it adds value.. but definitely not a requirement..

Sa case niyo po dapat ata makakuha talaga kayo ng COE. It doesn't matter kung galit sila sa inyo. It is your right po to get the evidence of your employment in your previous company. What you can do po is to make a draft na nung gusto niyo ilagay sa COE (yung detailed COE na required ni EA) then i-request niyo na ayun ang ilagay.

Sa akin nga po nagpa-ulit pa ako ng COE dahil nagkamali ako ng nailagay sa draft ko and nabasa ko lang nung naissue na nila sa akin, so ayun request ako uli kahit medyo badtrip na sila sa akin.

Yung payslip pala is just another additional evidence of employment po so you still need the coe.

I just called my ex-company this morning, medyo good mood naman yung HR Manager pero ang agreement namin is yung acknowledgement lang ng employment ko in that certain duration
of time na nagtrabaho ako at yung last position held lang ang ilalagay niya. Ang sabi ko naman basta me company letterhead at company stamp at least. (Reluctant talaga mag-issue ng testimonial letter.)

Another thing po, aside from that 3 po yung CoE ko pero puro generic, walang j/d so i was planning to draft job descriptions for them at papirmahan ko sa kanila bilang supporting documents sa mga generic CoE, me nabasa ako sa ibang topic na ganun ang ginawa kasi mga generic CoE ang nakuha nila. Acceptable po ba sa EA iyon?

Pagdating sa ctc po pwede ba dito SG ipa-ctc ang mga CoE na ito?

Thanks joestrummer and lock_code2004. Yung documents na nasubmit ko sa EA is with a valid PRC license pa. maggeexpire lang sya this month...Siguro di ko nalang ipaparenew kasi not worth it din. di din kasi nila majustify purpose nila for the cpe points and membership in the org which you even have to pay not and knowing where it goes.salamat sa inputs

Yep lalo po sa amin sa ME. Ibang klase, 2 grupo ang PSME. Kelangan pareho mo ipamember para lang makarenew ka. Lang kwenta. I don't even see the importance or help of being a member in that group. Kahit newsletter or journal wala ka naman makukuha. Kung alam ko lang sa bulsa lang lahat napupunta yun.

Anyway sorry kung off-topic, just had to rant it out. hihi!

i have another question. about career episode. yung work ko kasi from 2009-2010 was only 9 months. di umabot ng 12 months kasi i moved here in UAE na. is that okay? thanks.

@piglet are you going to discuss any projects with the 9 months experience.
i think mag isip ka pa iba mong projects or or mas matagal would be better.

thanks sa reply. i was thinking of including that 9 months kasi under USAid siya it was a good exposure relative to my profession. I have COE namn for all of my work experiences.

Ambilis ng reply! , At nerecieve ko na agad yung una CDR. Mahaba haba nga pala itong CDR kailangan talaga i-recall ng maige ang past projects , experiences etc..parang kulang ang 1week sa paggawa lang nito...

@pipoy - it was very helpful that in our company we have documentation of all our improvement projects, technical papers, and my school projects..
so i was able to complete my CDR in one day..

@lock_code2004, pede rin po ba makahinge ng kopya ng mga CDR gamitin ko lang as reference sa pag gawa ng cdr ko any sample will do pero pag may pang Mechanical Engineering mas ok po. pa send na lang po sa email ko sa [email protected] salamat po ulit.

Got this comment from EA -
"* We note that you worked in the Philippines from November 1995 to
September 2002. Consequently, we seek confirmation whether you were
registered with the Republic of the Philippines Professional Regulation
Commission to work as a Mechanical Engineer within this period? If yes,
we seek documentary evidence of such."

May problema ba kung hindi ako licensed Mechanical Engineer sa atin? I am currently working here in Dubai, and have work esperience here from 2002.
