kasi po ung mga tita ko nasa New south whales po...
Pag tsineck ko po sa state occupation Nominated occupational list of New South Whales eh wala pong Architectural draftsperson? Eh ung architectural draftsperson eh nasa CSOL po sya....eh pano yun eh di hindi nila ako pwedeng sponsoran?

Ano pong magandang suggestion?

@pog - medyo mahaba-habang paliwanagan..

1) there are two types of visa 489
a) 489 Family/relative sponsorship - your nominated occupation should be in SOL Sched 1

b 489 Regional Sponsorship (by the State) -your nominated occupation should be in CSOL Sched 2 and of course in the State's SNOL (State Nomination Occupation List)

2) So kung ung nominated occupation mo ay nasa CSOL, hindi ka pwedeng magpa-SPONSOR sa RELATIVE.. see my explanation sa point 1.

3) therefore, kung nasa CSOL ang occupation, pwede ka lang nung 489 na Regional Sponsorship by the State... pero of course dapat nsa NSW list din ang occupation mo.. so sa case mo, nsa CSOL (by DIAC), pero wala sa NSW State NOL, ibig sbihin hindi ka pwede sa kahit anong klaseng visa 489 (if you want to apply sa NSW)..

4) if you really want to go to AU, you need to check other states pwede ka naman mag-apply sa ibang state at ibang visa.. like visa 190 sa WA.. maraming nag-apply nyan dito sa forum.. check mo ang thread for Archi Draftsperson...

@blackveil - both visa 489 and visa 190 are state sponsored.. ang difference
a) visa 489 - live and work in regional only and temporary valid for 4 years only
b) visa 190 - permanent visa and only restriction is live/work in the state for 2 years..

so regarding sa question mo, ibig sabihin hindi nila kailangan ang graphic designer sa mga regional area... kasi ang visa 489 is regional and temporary visa..

so kung nakita mo nga sa ACT na visa 190 lang ang tinatanggap nila for your occupation, then mas okay, kasi ang visa 190 is a PR visa at pwede kahit saan mag work (unlike visa 489)..

why do you want to apply for visa 489?

@lock_code2004 i have lodged my eoi, passed the assessment except for ielts, i have to retake kasi i wasn't able to get all 7 sa bandscore. need ko ng 7 if ever ask ako ng state sponsorship sa ACT. first take pa lang naman pero feeling ko napaka hopeless ko makakuha ng 7...i only got 6, 6.5, 6, 6.5 dun sa first take ko...when i lodged my eoi yng 489 visa lang ang nakakuha ako ng 60pts kaya yun lang yung iniisip kong way para mainvite ako for visa.

hi! this is my first post. plan ko po magapply for 489
estimated points:
age (29) - 30 pts
ielts (magrereview pa lang) - assuming 10 pts
skills (2yrs+1month) - 0
education (RTU, licensed ECE) - assuming 15pts
sponsor (sister, PR in Perth) - 10pts

total 65pts, ok na kaya yan?

pwede sa anzsco 2361 or 2363, i prefer 2361 kasi parang mas mabilis/madali magpaaccess sa ACS kesa EA. tsaka mas mataas yung occupational ceiling 1740 vs 480

engaged na ko, wedding scheduled on Feb 2014, pwede na ba agad magsubmit ng EOI kahit before magpakasal? masasama pa din ba future hubby? pwede din isama parents ko as dependents?

kung targetin ko naman yung PR visa 189, pwede magpa-assess din si future husband for additional 5pts para maka-60 kaso parang mas magastos or pwede din antayin ko na mag3yrs kaso mas matagal hahaha

ano po masasuggest nyo?

@iamdhey - okay here is my opinion:

1. occupation should in SOL Sched1 to be able to have visa 489 relative sponsorship. 26311 is good because it is in SOL Sched 1.

2. educ qualification MAY or MAY NOT be assessed as equivalent to AU Bachelor degree.. so that is a big consideration.. if it's assessed as equivalent to AU diploma (10pts), then kulang ka ng points..

3. so based on no. 2, you need to have plan to get additional points. partner's points.. higher ielts or complete 3 years of your work exp..

once na process/lodge mo na ang visa 489 (after ma-approved), hindi mo na pwedeng baguhin..

pero here are some tips..
1. pag approved na ang SS for visa 489, you have 30 days to accept the SS invitation... wag mo muna sign (accept the SS visa 489) kung padating na ang partner skills results

2. pag nagsign kana at na invite for visa 489, you have 60 days to LODGE the visa... pwedeng wag mo muna i-lodge/pay the visa application.... in case na dumating ang partner skills within that 60 days, hayaan nyong mag-expire ang EOI invitation, and then re-apply for visa 190 SS..

please confirm yung mga allowed days before it expires..
example lang yung mga binigay ko dyan..
other states have different rules.

degree: BS Agriculture (15 points)
IELTS: at least 7.0 sana ang target ko (10 points)

Bale 50 points lang meron ako sa ngayon. Balak ko sana mag apply for 489 dahil +10 points un, para pasok ako sa 60 points minimum. Or pwede rin naman na maghintay ako hanggang May next year para 25 y/o na ko, bale 30 points na ko sa age at that time, tapos 190 na lang ang aapplyan ko (+5 points).

Tanong ko lang kung aling scenario ang mas maganda para sa akin. kung mag aapply na ko asap ng 489 or hintayin ko next year May at 190 na lang ang applyan ko. D n rn kc ako kumuha ng migration agent at nagbabasa lang ako sa net para sa info. Ung IELTS at VETASSESS evaluations pwede ko naman asikasuhin asap. Ang ANZSCO code pala para sa akin ay 234112 (Agricultural Scientist). Sa Queensland yta patok ang agriculture, di lang ako sure dito.

May mag-ina rin pala ako, di kami kasal pero may anak kami. Sabi ko di ko muna sila isasama sa application ko. Papapuntahin ko nalang sila dun pag stable na ang status ko dun if ever.

Hi.. here are my suggestions

1. check the requirements of Vetasses kung anu ang minimum requirements na work exp sa occupation mo, kasi 1.5 yrs ka pa lang.. so baka hindi pa pwede
2. check the requirements of the each State na may open for nomination sa occupation mo, minsan meron silang minimum work exp requirement.
3. if everything is okay, prepare all you documents now and submit assessment. Vetassess will take approximately 4 Months to provide results..
4. while assessment is on-going, prepare for your IELTS para maka 7 ka in each module
5. by that time matapos ang VEtassess at IELTS, eh May 2014 na, so you can claim 30pts for age.. then submit EOI, SS application...

by the way, include your family sa application...pag approved na pwede naman na mauna ka, and then sumunod sila...

iba kasi ang application kung hindi mo pa sila isasama sa visa application mo...mas mahirap iprove na dependent mo sila, at bkit di mo sila isinama nung una kang nag-apply..

Nice. Thanks sa tips lock_code2004, lalu na sa pagsama ng mag-ina ko sa application ko.

Bale tiningnan ko muna sa vetassess ung nominated occupation ko (agricultural scientist, 234112), nsa group A sya, at 1yr lng ang work experience requirement nya. Sunod ay nagcheck ako sa sites ng states. Sa QLD ay 3yrs ang min work exp kya di ako pwde. Confirm ko lang, ung work experience ba ay binibilang at the time na mag apply (or approve) ako sa VETASSESS for skills assessment or kapag nag submit na ako ng EOI? Kasi sa VIC, 2yrs ang min work exp. Bale magiging 2yrs ako sa work sa Jan 2014 pa. Balak ko sana mag pa assess na sa vetassess asap.

Ska, may nabasa ako sa SA site na kelangan may AUD 20-25k pag papasok sa territory nila, parang proof na mabubuhay ka dun. Ganun din kaya sa ibang states? Nxt time na siguro ung mga ibang tanong. hehe. Tnx ulit lock_code2004.

- you can proceed with the assessment now.. Vetassess assessment will count only at the time of application, but EOI work exp is at the time of invitation (assuming of course na continuous pa rin ang job mo on your nominated occupation)
- most assessment results are valid up to 3 years (double check with vetassess), so if ever lumabas na ang assessment mo by dec 2013, pwde mo sya gamitin sa jan 2014 to submit for your EOI and SS application sa VIC (with your 2 yrs exp)
- most states nag hihingi lang ng confirmation on your funds, but they dont normally ask for proof like bank statemnt etc.. parang some sort of declaration lang na meron ka.. mag sign ka lang ng docs..

if i'm correct (this is just based on the process) you will provide all details (including your relative sponsor) in your EOI.
once you are given an invitation to apply for visa, you will then lodge the application and attach all required documents (including the sponsors declaration)..
