    Katatapos ng IELTS ko last Saturday 3/23 dito sa Bangkok, mga more than 500 siguro kaming nag-exam

    Morning yung Listening/Reading/Writing... Afternoon yung Speaking.

    Listening yung naging challenging para sakin... tuloy-tuloy yung conversation na pinakinggan namin tapos ang daming paligoy-ligoy kaya may mamiss-out ka lang sa conversation... series of questions na yung hindi mo masasagutan... Although nasubukan ko na ang ganoong mga tests sa Practice Exams... parang mas mahirap yung na-encounter ko during the actual test.


    Yung Reading medyo ok naman, medyo mas madali-dali sya as compared dun sa mga Practice Tests na nasubukan ko dati.

    Sa Writing naman:

    Task1: "Write a letter to a friend about a job overseas you're interested in... why are you interested... ask for advice..."

    Task2: "Children of today are less healthy, why is this the case, how can it be resolved... share from your personal experience..."


    Speaking... ako yung unang-una sa Speaking test, may Advantage at Disadvantage talaga kapag "Ab--" start ng apelido... alphabetical kasi yung pagkakasunod-sunod namin... kaya 30 minutes lang ata naging pahinga ko from Writing test, salang na kagad ako sa Speaking... ni hindi ako nakapag-lunch...

    medyo ok din... Briton yung examiner sakin... ito mga tanong nya:

    1. What's your job... what's challenging about it... would you recommend your job to a friend, why?

    2. Are more people using mobile phone these days than in the past, why, advantages/disadvantages?

    3. Some people live in cities, but some chooses to live in towns... why is this the case? Adv/Disadv of town-living

    4. Describe the buildings in your country... did the types of buildings changed over the years?


    Sa April 5 yung resulta namin, pwede sya ma-check online sa BC website....

    Kayang-kaya naman makakuha ng pasadong score, basta prepare lang ng todo sa review saka focus...

    Yung sa akin, self-study lang, ang materials ko ay yung yung Cambridge IELTS 7 and 8 na nakuha ko dito sa forum natin... nakapag-exam na kasi ako nung nag-share si Strader kaya hindi ko na-review yung Cambridge 1-6.

    Ang tip ko lang, kahit nakapag-review na kayo ng todo... huwag na huwag magpapa-distract.... yung Listening kasi unang exam, nung may na-missout ako sa conversation, na-distract ako at nag-panic, kaya pati yung mga sumunod na usapan nahirapan na ko sundan....

    Sa Speaking naman, huwag kayong kabahan... totoo yung sabi ng mga Examiners na andun sila para tumulong makakuha ka ng mataas na marka at hindi para pahirapan ka...

    Yung Speaking Examiner ko British sya, before and after ng conversation namin kinakausap nya ako kung ano raw ba work ko, bakit ako kumuha ng IELTS...

    Sa Perth sila nakatira ng family nya.... Natuwa pa nga sya nung nalaman nyang kaya ako nag-exam is para sa pag-aapply ko sa Engineers Australia, tapos sabi nya, "I bet Engineers Australia expects a very high score...."

    Kaya masayang masaya ako sa 8.5 score sa Speaking! Hehehe

    Thanks sa mga tips nyo & the prayers from friends & family I passed the IELTS exam I took last March 23 sa BC SG. I was really scared I'd fail the writing test kase medio rushed n yung last paragraph but thankfully ok parin. Anyway this youtube vid really helped me to prepare for task 2, it provides a skeleton of sorts that will help you construct a cohesive essay. Nakatulong dahil in a way mcut-down yung thinking time hehe, aadjust mo nlng based sa topic.
