    @jenipet20 -Kumuha din ako ng exam kanina (British Council) academic module, ang hirap ng reading section! Sobrang haba ng passage at ang daming true,false,not given (more than 10 yata).

    Topic sa speaking part 2: Describe a neighbor you had in the past, when did you first meet, how often do you meet, qualities of a good neighbor

    Yung ibang questions about the city you came from, weather in your country and what do you prefer and why, use of mobile phone, kung ang neighborhood mo maganda sa pagpapalaki ng bata, advantages of raising children in the city, Filipino culture and values, kung babalik ka at titira sa hometown mo balang araw, and so on...madali lang ang mga tanong kung iisipin pro pag nandun ka na, di maiiwasang mamental block ka minsan dahil sa sobrang kaba? hehehe...

    Sa listening part, medyo ok naman, focus lang talaga ang kelangan. Minsan maraming paligoy ligoy muna kaya akala mo na miss mo na yung sagot.

    Yan na lang muna ang ma i share ko at masakit pa ulo ko...

    @Hunter_08 - sa listening ok siya kahit ppano kaso mejo nwla ako nung huli.. S reading gnun din namental block ako s dull nung nakita kong mahaba pa yung dulo.. E 5 mistakes lang kelangan para maka 7 s reading kaya kabado ako. S writing though ok yung topic.. Letter to a colleague at yung living in a city or in a coutryside.. Kaso bobo lang ata ako s english kaya di natapos at hrap construct ng english.. S speakng naunahan ng kaba tho nakakasagot minsan di ko maisip yung right term..ayun kaya minsan tagal makasagot

    Katatapos ng IELTS ko last Saturday 3/23 dito sa Bangkok, mga more than 500 siguro kaming nag-exam

    Morning yung Listening/Reading/Writing... Afternoon yung Speaking.

    Listening yung naging challenging para sakin... tuloy-tuloy yung conversation na pinakinggan namin tapos ang daming paligoy-ligoy kaya may mamiss-out ka lang sa conversation... series of questions na yung hindi mo masasagutan... Although nasubukan ko na ang ganoong mga tests sa Practice Exams... parang mas mahirap yung na-encounter ko during the actual test.


    Yung Reading medyo ok naman, medyo mas madali-dali sya as compared dun sa mga Practice Tests na nasubukan ko dati.

    Sa Writing naman:

    Task1: "Write a letter to a friend about a job overseas you're interested in... why are you interested... ask for advice..."

    Task2: "Children of today are less healthy, why is this the case, how can it be resolved... share from your personal experience..."


    Speaking... ako yung unang-una sa Speaking test, may Advantage at Disadvantage talaga kapag "Ab--" start ng apelido... alphabetical kasi yung pagkakasunod-sunod namin... kaya 30 minutes lang ata naging pahinga ko from Writing test, salang na kagad ako sa Speaking... ni hindi ako nakapag-lunch...

    medyo ok din... Briton yung examiner sakin... ito mga tanong nya:

    1. What's your job... what's challenging about it... would you recommend your job to a friend, why?

    2. Are more people using mobile phone these days than in the past, why, advantages/disadvantages?

    3. Some people live in cities, but some chooses to live in towns... why is this the case? Adv/Disadv of town-living

    4. Describe the buildings in your country... did the types of buildings changed over the years?


    Sa April 5 yung resulta namin, pwede sya ma-check online sa BC website....

    @jenipet20, lalaki naginterview sakin. at first i thought, ok na yung speaking ko pero not good enough pa din. kelan mo ulet plan magtake? nagregister ako sa wollongong for 27 april exam. 3 na tayong taga dubai dito, pwede tayong mag study partner para sa mock up speaking kung gusto nyo ng dan78.

    Hi! Question- ask ko lang po to those who have received their IELTS results by post already how long usually before dumating yung hardcopy ng exam results from British Council? I understand one can only submit an EOI if they have the reference number from that document. Thank you!

    @dan78 bro ang ginamit kong reviewers were Cambridge 7 and 8, yung nanggaling mismo dito sa forum natin (see link above)....

    tapos kapag sa British Council nag-enroll, meron silang free online Practice Tests, yun din na-review ko...

    si Strader, meron sya Cambridge 1-8 pwede kang mag-request sa kanya na i-share sayo yung softcopies.

    As for reviewing tips----

    It's a youtube vid detailing a generic skeleton which you can use when answering Writing Task 2. Mahaba lang sya but totally worth it kase it helped me have a "master plan" of sorts hehe so pagdating sa actual exam may idea na ko how to "attack" the problem ehehhe. Watch mo to.

    Task 1 letter writing yung PEA mnemonics. nagstick lang ako dito naging ok nman.
    P- purpose
    E- explanation
    A- Action ( you wish to be done by letter recipient)

    Listening- Super useful yung listening exercises & practice exams ng BC na free online tutorial (yung Road to IELTS). Gawin mo lang yun I think ok ka na, super similar kase so pagdating ng actual exam sanay na yung ears mo sa format. Confident & comfortable at hindi mapapanic :).

    Yung Reading- hindi ko binasa tlga haha browse/scan lang which may not be a good idea kase yun yung lowest score ko. Siguro best to read & practice with lengthier articles. I know someone who found the Reading exam quite easy, sabe nia she practiced using the Academic module materials kaya sanay na siya sa lengthy articles.

    Practice yung mock exams as in with the sample answer sheet & timer. Feeling ko kase it helps your brain to be acquainted with the format of the exam, nbbawasan yung jitters & mas hindi nakapanic :).

    Salamat @dreambig & @hotshot -- sabi rin ni @robertsg sa SG thread 2-3 days. Hopefully ganun nga & hindi 2-3 weeks. Excited lang magsubmit ☺
    ah ibig sabihin ko 2 to 3 weeks from exam date. kasi after 2 weeks lumabas ang result online. then mga 2 to 3 days bago dumating by post sa akin after lumabas yung online result. :)
