Hi guys.

Quick question - I'm in the middle of acquiring all my documents to file my application for a General Skilled Worker. I wanted to know if I need to get my Transcript of Records, Diploma and Birth Certificate - red ribboned?

nope.. you need the original... photocopy it.. then have the copy "Certified True Copy" .
- you will keep the original.
- and submit the CTCed photocopy

Thanks lockcode - really appreciate it. I've been reading the requirements the past few days and I didn't see anything about red-ribbon. The reason I asked is because a friend who migrated there a few years back told me she got her TOR and Diploma red-ribboned, which I heard takes a while (added to the fact that I'm currently not in the Philippines).

I've already contacted my previous employers to request for COEs so these documents are already progressing. The harder part is updating my CV which will be assessed by ACS! I need to start cracking on that!

I'm planning to apply for a state sponsored visa (in Victoria as my family is in Melbourne). If approved, this doesn't necessarily require me to stay in the woodlands or rural areas of Victoria correct? Sayang din ang 5 points! hahaha.

Mag aaral po ako sa OZ only for 1 year this July, ask q lang po kung habang ongoing yung studies ko sa OZ ay pde din po ba akong mag apply/log ng EOI for 189/190 visa?

Hindi po ba i-aaproved yung 189/190 visa hangat dpa tapos yung studies ko?

Good afternoon. Kakakuha ko lang ng IELTS results ko and pumasok ako sa SA minimum requiremetns. exactly 60 points.

55 if visa 189. So no choice ako. Will go for 190 na.

@ringo Hi Sir, SCA po, ang pagkaka alam ko na meet na yung quota nila for 263111, andito po ung detailed explanation ng SCA, https://www.migration.sa.gov.au/eligibility_requirements please check no. 6 item

6.2 Occupations listed as “Special Conditions Apply” are limited to applicants who are recent South Australian international graduates, who studied at a South Australian institution and where this study meets the DIAC Australian study requirement. If any of the applicant’s studies were undertaken outside of South Australia, a minimum of 50% of their qualification must have been completed in South Australia.

Hi guys!!!! I'm paying forward all the advices that I got from this forum.

A million thanks to sir lockcode and sir psychoboy... Thank you for your inputs. I just want to share my good news.

Just this afternoon, I received the best news ever. My application for Permanent Resident VIsa Subclass 189 was approved my CO Team 33 Brisbane.

Here is my timeline:

September 2011 : Approved assessment of documents by APC
November 2011: IELTS exam (result W: 7.0 S: 7.0 R: 8.5 L: 8.5 OBS: 8.0)
March 2012: Took APC Stage 1 exam
May 2012: Passed APC Stage 1 exam
December 2012: Applied for Skillselect
January 2012: Received Invitation for Subclass 189 (60 points)
March 2013: Lodged Application
April 2013: Received notification to submit other documentation for proof
May 2013: Submitted all required documents
May 10 2013: Received email that my VISA was granted

I was a bit apprehensive at first to file my application since medyo naguguluhan ako sa ibig sabihin ng "experience in closely related occupation". Kasi lahat ng experience ko ay as an Industrial Pharmacist but my nominated occupation is retail pharmacist. However, wala naman palang kaso to sa DIAC since nasa umbrella or same ANZSCO group ang industrial pharmacist and retail pharmacist so "closely related " sila. I took the gamble and it all paid off.

I believe so, but in my case 2 ang ginawa ko. For example, diploma, pinacertify ko sa University Registrar at notary public. Tapos, sinend ko sila pareho.

no. you dont need to work in australia..
as long as you have atleast 60pts, you can apply for skilled migrant visa..

biro lang... pina-plantsa na po résumé, ta-try nmen mag apply online though madame feedback na nde sila nag e-entertain ng offshore applicants. Try lang for experience hehe.

Anyone who did an assessment via RPL - Recognition of Prior Learning ( https://www.acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0005/12659/Recognition-of-Prior-Learning-RPL.pdf ) ? For IT professionals, this is the assessment if you have a non-IT degree.
Can anyone share their experience. Thanks a lot!

- invitation is based on score ranking and occupation limit
- you can check what scores have been invited recently.. (as far as i know, they started inviting EOI with 60pts)
- visit skillselect website > Reports ( it will show invitation information/summary every invitation cycle)

- if you applied for visa 189 (check your EOI if you selected visa 189), your occupation is in SOL, and if your score is atleast 60pts, then there is a high chance you will be invited.. see my previous post.

- if your occupation is in CSOL, you applied for visa 190, and you mentioned your SS application was rejected, then even if your score is 60 pts or more, you won't get an invitation to apply..
