    A$37,001 – A$80,000 = A$10,730 plus 30c for each $1 over $37,000

    A$43000 x 0.30 = A$12,900 [30c for each $1 over $37,000]

    total tax is A$23,690

    A$80,000
    -A$23,690
    ========
    A$56,370

I'm not 100% about the computation above kung may na miss ako or mali computation. kung may taga AU dyan na nakakabasa, maybe you can help us a bit here.

hmmm mukhang malaki parin pala take home mo kesa d2. but still you have to consider other things kung worth ba ung sweldo against perks ehre in SG like convenience ng transpo, rent ng bahay, food, malapit sa pinas, weather, lalo na ung mga calamity na ngyayari ngayon dun.

Goodluck sa mga balak na magpunta dito sa oz, this is such a nice place to live...

@tony thanks tony for the info. sana magkaraon ng chance this year na maka-visit muna kame dyan para mafeel ung environment :-) medyo nanghihinayang lang ako dito sa SG kung iiwan namin, kasi nakaestablished na rin kasi kame dito and ung comfort-zone ba. pay wise, ok naman sweldo compared to other people here. but most people say... kung long term ang paguusapan mas maganda talaga dyan sa OZ. how's work pala dyan. marami bang opening?

aolee. Try to visit oz first para magka idea ka kung ok talaga para sa inyo. The best thing for me para makapunta dito is try to look for an employeer na mag sponsore sayo kasi yun ang pinaka mabilis gaya ko under 457 ako nung pumasok dito at ngayon PR nako after 2 yrs lang. Kasi ang nagiging poblema ng mga nagma migrate dito is pagdating nila di sila ma hire ng mga employeer because they don't have an experience here in oz kumbaga swertihan lang na may magtiwala talaga kagad or mag train sayo.

Cheflyra.... Hope it help.

cheflyra... Sige bro goodluck and keep in touch dito sa forum.

hi guys, pacencya na po, ask ko lang po kung anu po ba ang kaibahan ng visa 457 vs 119? parang pareho lang siya in terms of sponsorship, parehong employer sponsored right?

Jayjee..ang kaibahan ng 457 sa 119 temporary long stay for 4 yrs at pwede magapply ng PR after 1 or 2yrs.

@tony ah i see. Pag 119 ba, ikaw ang magbabayad ng FEE or company? in the case of Cheflyra siya ata nag pay right? deducted sa salary niya? still not bad kasi PR agad ang nakuha nya.

    thanks in advance.

Once nagka PR visa ka ba obliged yung employer mo na taasan ka ng sahod?if you are working under a 457 visa?

Ganito po situation ko kasi: just got a job in perth,i'm waiting for my 457 visa company sponsored and my agency called me sooner or later 1st week of may labas na yung visa,my wife(primary applicant) just lodged 175 PR appl last jan2011 and we will be getting our CO this june accdg to DIAC.

As a 457 worker,do i have the right na magdemand ng sahod once maka PR na po ako?

    :)

@cheflyra ..........Hi Cheflyra.ngayon lang ako nakapasok sa site na ito and I can say na sobra lucky ka at PR agad ang pasok mo sa AU.Currently, Im on a 176 visa, pero sobrang pinaghirapan ko talaga ito bago ko natamo. Nag start ako as 457 Visa , but our employer doesnt want to sponsor us for a PR status because natatakot sya na if PR na lahat kami na pinoy workers nya ay aalis na kami sa kanya.masakit ay pinoy pa mandin ang sponsor namin that time. kaya nga while Im reading your story ay na-amazed talaga ako ,sobra swerte mo.So now nasaan na kayo?

hello sa lahat.. ito n yata ang pinakamahabang forum ngaun d2 at sobrang helpful.. thanks for a lot of info.. Anyway, tulong naman din po for additional info.. anu anu mga benefits n binibigay ng company dyan sa AU (bonus, annual leave, ticket by whom, etc) as I worked before at UAE, meron 1month (paid!) annual leave including the plane ticket. un nga lang ung mga kamoteng arabo na un, di kame nabigyan ng bonus kaya aun! d2 aq ngaun sa SG n ang tanging benefit mu lang ay ung malapit ka sa Pinas. (7days annual leave, sagot mu ticket mu, urgent lagi ang trabaho, etc!) haysss..

if possible po sana, pwedeng pa-itemize ung type of visa dyan sa AU? ung sa tax, grabe, nakakalula, aabot ng 20% +++ ung magiging tax mu dyan considering the 30c per 1$.. tsk tsk

Greetings mga kabayan! just to ask and seek for advise....
i am not a college graduate , i only went to a technical school which is TESDA due to the usual financial needs of course...hindi namin kakayanin kaya short courses lang...i took up HRM in the field of Food and Beverage Services and after that, i got lucky to land a job as a Waitress at a 5star and as a Captain waitress sa 3 star hotel dito sa PHIL and did strive harder that got me a job on a Luxury Cruise line for more than 6 years....i supposed to go back onboard last dec pero i decided not to and quite not sure if i wanna go back to the life onboard...medyo frustrating na rin kasi ang work situation so i am planning and trying to get my chances to land a job somewhere NORTH America, Canada and or Australia as a Waitress
.......i wanna know how big is my chances to land a job in Australia despite of my educational status? how 'bout my several years of experience internationally? wouldn't that be a plus? and am not nagyayabang but i speak english very well!

..actually i get so many calls from my post at workabroad.ph but its in the mid east and i am not interested and mostly rejected the offer kasi nga po ang gusto ko sa US, Canada or Australia....and comparing the salary that i am earning sa barko, malayo talaga...and knowing na medyo mababa rin sa Canada or US compared sa kinikita ko sa barko at least i know that in land i can have a life...sa barko kasi masaya din pero it is like an open prison to me...
...any advise from anyone? anyone knows any job openings?
