How to verify if the lessor is legit

Hi! I need your help.

May kausap na akong lessor I want to know how can I verify if he's for real.

Name of bank account is Triune Trust, Name of residence is GoodLife Residence, Address is 223 ANZAC HIGHWAY, PLYMPTON 5038, SA.

I tried to google but there are no exact results.

Please help!

    If it involves paying in advance then dont, view the property first

    @JCsantos yes, pinagbabayad kami ng bond para mareserve nya yung room pagdating namin this end of the month. thanks!

    please be careful, as it has been a scam for sometime about asking bond for rental reservation online. I suggest not to send money unless you have seen the property or either when you have arrived here. Read some previous discussions here about scam in shared accomodations.

    ahahaha... sinabi ba sau na "out of the country" ang may ari kaya mag bayad ka na ng 2 weeks bond mo at ipapadala niya sau susi??? >:)

    @macooyam post mo nga dito link.. try natin icheck... pero yoko talaga magbayad hangat hindi ko pa nakikita ang place. better safe than sorry.

    @doubleDuzi nasa pinas pa kasi ako kaya pinapabayad nya yung bond para mareserve sa kin. Naghahanap na kasi ako para pagdating ko jan may place na kmi dahil wala kong friend or relatives na nsa adelaide. Natwa ako dun sa ipapadala nya na susi pero may point haha!

    tinawagan sha nung friend ko na taga melbourne. yung frend ko ksi yung nagtatatawag sa mga ads na nakikita ko since anjan na siya.

    yung address na bnigay nung lessor nung naguusap na kami sa email eto: 223 Anzac highway

    @AR2012 thanks! may nabasa ako dito maging careful sa gumtree. Since Im desperate to get a shared accommodation ngaun plang kasi ayokong magstay sa backpacker dahil sa costly na wala pa privacy, kaya naghahanap na ako with the help of my friend na nsa melbourne.

    naisip ko naman realestate.com.au yung ads so baka mas reliable. Pero nung nagsend na siya ng contract at bank details, magkaiba ang bank account at name ng residence, naging hesitant na ako.

    naverify nya kasi yung visa ko just by giving him my passport number. Kaya gusto ko din iverify kung legitimate lessor siya. kaso parang walang way.

    pinapabayad ka agad
    nasa ibang bansa sya
    iwan nya susi sa airport mailbox

    yan, sigurado 100% scam yan

    Please dont pay in advance, better to pay costly backpackers than to be scammed

    @macooyam I can refer you to previous (Pinay) landlady if you're still looking for accommodation. Marami naman dito sa forum like Ren, sohc, etc ang nakapunta na sa house nya. I'm very sure its legit. Meron kasi sya 3 rooms available ngayon. Puro pinoy ang makakasama mo sa house if ever. Anyway let me know if you're interested.

    Walang nagpapaupa na di ka pa nakikita ka ng personal. Ang sistema dito kailangan makita ka ng personal at makita mo ng personal ang uupahan mo. Wala talaga nakikipag transaction sa email lang.

    @macooyam when are u arriving in adelaide? kung end of this month, mag backpacker ka nalang nga muna siguro then daan ka nalang sa bahay ng landlady ko para mkita mo na rin yung room at makadecide ko whether you'll get it or not...

    alternatively, if u want to view the room pa rin before u arrive... send me an email at mjdepano@gmail para i can fwd pics to u... i can also give u the address para makita mo sa google maps. another option is video call with the landlady para makilala mo rin sha while ure still in Pinas. mabait yun at maraming taga forum ang may kakilala sa kanya. usually ngsusundo pa un sa airport sa mga bagong dating na boarder... email me nlng if ever kc mas madalas ako mgcheck ng email hehe..

    I don't like the sound of it.. It MUST BE A SCAM.
    Better be safe than sorry.

    As far as the law is concern "NEVER pay anything in advance (reservation fees, bond, whatever invented terms they use) unless you have viewed and inspect the place."
    Regardless of where you see the advertisement, even if it is in realestate, gumtree, or even pinoyau. :)

    If you are not convenient sa backpackers try to look for other "daily rate" accommodations.
    Check www.booking.com will give you a good idea of the prices and location. Some people will book 3 days or less before they move to a short term accommodation. Note: Don't book at booking.com, always go to the inns actual website most of the time you can get a better rate.
