Flagged Occupations

tamarind26tamarind26 SingaporePosts: 49Member
Nalilito po kami sa sakop ng Flagged Occupation. Marine Engineer si hubs and we're trying to have his credentials assessed by AMSA. When we checked the individual states websites, nasa High Availability naman yung field niya for state sponsorship. Parang contradicting yung list ng Flagged Occupation (borderline occupations) with High Availability Occupation.

Somewhere in this forum, I also read na pwedeng mag apply ng sponsorship under more than 1 state. May limit po ba dun sa number of states na pwedeng applyan say the occupation is found in 6 states?

Thanks in advance.

Flagged occupations mean that anytime in the future this occupation may be removed from the SOL so they are just saying...if you're job is in demand and you want to migrate, do it now or be sorry later hehe...

Tentative naman po yung pagtanggal...hindi sigurado kung this year or the next or never...ganun talaga kasi lumalaki na ang populasyon ng Australia kaya hinihigpitan nila lalo yung immigration para yung mga kailangan lang na tao ang makakapasok.

On your other question, it's my first time to hear this...mahal din po kasi yung state sponsorship application so mas mainam po siguro kung subukan niyo muna sa isang state at kung rejected saka kayo mag-apply sa iba. Hindi naman matagal sumagot mga yun :)

@tamarind26 Sa mga flagged occupations tama si Sir @LokiJr na sa susunod na year or the near future na pwede mawala or mabalik yung mga occupations na to. Kaya you need to act now if your occupation is already in the Flagged list.

Wala naman limit in applying for SS on different states. Mas ok nga yun kasi marami kang options if you are in a SS visa. Yun nga lang may bayad ang SS application sa ibang states at iba iba rin yung mga rates nila.

Hi tamarind26! for Victoria SMP, minimum requirement for IELTS is 6 per band level...

" To be eligible for Victorian Government state sponsorship, applicants are required to have at least 'competent' English, a score of at least six in each band level. Eligibility requirements for some occupations may include a higher standard of English. This will be indicated on the State Sponsorship Occupation list. The Victorian Government does not participate in the English language concession. "

@bryann: Thanks for confirming the GST. Have updated na rin details on fees.

@k_mavs: Wow that was fast approval for state sponsorship. :)

@PLAC: I changed na rin the minimum IELTS requirement for Victoria. Thanks for the heads up.

@tamarind26 Thank you for enumerating the requirements for each state. Medyo confusing sa akin yung required IELTS Band 6 in Northern Territory. Kasi in some cases in order to get a positive skill assessment (like sa teaching and accounting) you have to get at least Band 7 on each test component...which is if you only got Band 6 hindi ka pa rin pwede mag-apply for state sponsorship. Tama po ba?

Follow your heart but trust your gut.

From what I understand on link below, minimum score is 6 unless specified in the Northern Territory SOL. Same goes with other states where some occupation requires a score of 7 or higher.

Depende rin po kasi sa occupation mo yung minimum IELTS requirement for each state.

There's a state (I can't remember which one) that requires you to have studied or lived in their state before to qualify for sponsorship on a given occupation.

    Gulo nila noh? hehe
