The way they pronounce ATM is sounds like ITM..

pansin ko lang, pag kausap mo locals with aussie accent, nadadala ka. pero subukan mo kumausap ng indian o ibang lahi, nawawala ka pati grammar mo nakakalimutan mo )

totoo yan... bilang lang Pinoy na kaibigan ko dito sa TH.. Lagi ibang lahi mga kasama ko. Ansakit sa ulo kapag mga Briton at Aussie ang mga kasama na. Pero eventually kapag sila lagi kausap mo madadala ka rin... yun lang kapag sila sila na nagusap, ang hirap na nang slang nila hehe. Lagi ko sinasabi bagalan ang salita hehehe

Kakainggit ang mga batang pinoy d2.. ang bilis nlang matuto ng Aussie slang.. kng minsan nga hndi ko na maiintindhan mga kpatid ko lalo na pag umeenglish cla..nkakanosebleed..hehehehe.. most of their time kasi kausap nla mga puti kaya advantage talaga.

being a former part time speech trainer in Manila, sympre gusto ko din gamitin ang skills na yun for possible other opportunities in case ayoko na or gusto ko namang mag career shift from being an accountant. i was able to buy online a software for aussie accent and pronunciation trainer. it helps to understand others better and be better understood. this software is endorsed by the govt for use in schools. kelangan ko din kase i serve as a reader in the parish so magandang mejo mabawasan ang american pronunciation ko.

Ta = thank you
gimme a tic - give me a sec
bugger off = go away
cool bananas = cool or thanks but sometimes this can be thanks monkey. Depends how they say it in a sentence. I heard this mostly when they are infront of Chinese.
boogie = kulangot
cheeky = wais ka or clever. Depends on how they used it.
aggro = aggressive
bs = bullshit
one of their fave expression "bloody" = very
chook = chicken
chips = fries
dipstick = idiot
fruit loop = fool
Gabba = Wooloongabba (the Brisbane cricket ground)
heaps = a lot
kindie = kindergarten
lippy = lipstick
Maccas = (pron. "mackers") : McDonald's (the hamburger place)
Pig's arse! = I don't agree with you
Rego = vehicle registration
Rubbish = garbage or to criticize. e.g. What he said was rubbish! = what he said was nonsense.
Servo = petrol station
Tucker-bag = food bag
Uni = university
Vedgies = vegetables
whereabouts = where. Whereabouts do you live? whereabout did you go this weekend.
White pointers = topless (female) sunbathers
Yabber = talk (a lot)

If you want to know a lot of slang and speak like local talk to them and you will learnt heaps.
